Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 479: Irlana; My Love
Seeing the twins, Rivan’s patience to prolong what he had planned gave out. He wanted kids too and now he had the perfect woman for it.
"Rivan! Where are we going?" Irlana asked as he held the car door open for her to slip inside.
"You will see," his coy smile stretched across his face. He shut the door once she was inside and moved to the driver’s seat.
He hardly ever drove, Irlana had always seen him using a chauffeur. But today he wasn’t, this was not going to be an ordinary day, she could feel it in her bones.
Rivan was meticulous and always thought everything through. He was always calm as the sea is when no storm brews and Irlana loved that about him.
Every time she would break down, he was there to gather her. Only he knew the extent of her struggles, the nightmares she still battled for she didn’t reveal any to others. It was solely he who had been given the reins to see her vulnerable. She didn’t want others to worry about her, they had their only lives to deal with.
They drove quietly, Irlana observed the hustle and bustle of Fritez City, it appeared brighter, full of vigour and sizzled with positive energy. The lone shadows of the man who attacked and took away its bliss were long gone now along with him. Life was back to normal.
"We are here," Rivan announced and Irlana was a bit stumped to see they were on docks. Why were they on the docks?
"Come," he instructed, opening her door and offering his hand, palm up. Irlana gladly took it and stepped out of the car.
Rivan led her along until they reached a long pier where a blue small luxury yacht floated in the water. The sun was setting behind it, illuminating its metal exterior, and making it shine.
"Wow, that’s a beautiful yacht," Irlana exclaimed as Rivan led her along and they mounted it.
"I am humbled that you like it," he never let go of her hand as they went overboard. A boy in a waiter’s uniform was waiting for them with champagne glasses.
"Thank you. Inform the captain to head out," Rivan instructed him and he slightly bowed before heading off to the bridge.
"You are spiking my interest, are we eloping?" Irlana teased taking a sip of her champagne as Rivan laughed and led her to the backside of the yacht where a romantic setting arrangement had been set up. Her eyes enlarged to twice in size seeing all the beautiful flowers, lights, candles and cushions.
His arm wrapped tightly around her waist as he guided her to stand with the railing that was at the rear of the yacht.
"Do you like it? We will be having dinner here today. We had been so wrapped up in work and everything that we didn’t get time to get away."
The cool breeze that the sea threw towards them along with tiny droplets of water that flew up because of the moving yacht landed on Irlana’s beautiful hair and decorated them like pearls. The dying light of the tired sun reflected like tiny rainbows in them.
"I love it," she heartily answered with a pleasant smile reserved only for him.
Setting his glass down he swept her hair back and cradled her face, their heart thudded, eyes met and heat seeped up in her cheeks.
"You mesmerise me Irlana and I don’t think I can wait any longer," he turned her so she could face the sea while gradually shifting behind her and wrapping her in his strong arms. She melted in his embrace.
"Oh! Rivan," she whispered, kissing his forearm, ecstatic from the affection he was showering her with.
"Look over there," he pointed with his index finger towards the descending sun as its last rays fell on floating blue and golden balloons, they were nearing them and had something attached at the bottom.
"Balloons? Where did they come from?" Irlana asked, mesmerised and perplexed at the same time. One of them neared her and she reached out to grab it. A tiny cyan glass bottle was attached at its end. Rivan was watching her with a keen interest.
"Open the bottle, Irlana and read the message inside," he breathed out in her ear, his tongue lapping on her earlobe. Her hands began to tremble as her heart frantically thudded against her chest. Removing the cork that had the bottle sealed, Irlana removed a small rolled-up parchment and straightened it up.
"Irlana; My Love.
Can you give this boyfriend of yours a chance to transition into the position of a husband?
Kiss for ’yes’....
If the answer is ’no’...."
She didn’t need to read any further for she instantly turned towards him, with tears of joy rolling down her exquisite face.
"Irlana..." Rivan’s concerned voice was drowned in her mouth as she crashed her lips against his. He huddled her as close to him as possible as they shared a passionate kiss and the rest of the world faded out.
"It’s a yes a million times yes, Rivan," she blurted out as soon their lips parted.
"Thank you, for choosing me Irlana. I am a happy man today," he slowly kissed her forehead as she comfortably settled in his arms.
"I chose you a long time ago, Rivan. Thank you for accepting me and desiring me to be your wife," her hand roamed the contours of his chest.
"I am honoured. You are a true blessing for me. I wanted to do this sooner but you knew the circumstances were not in our favour. But I don’t want to prolong it anymore. Let’s choose a date and get married amidst our loved ones," Irlana nodded at his words.
Extracting a small box that contained a ring with a dazzling sapphire embedded in it, he held it in front of her.
"Your hand, my love," her eyes sparkled seeing the exquisite ring and she held out her shaky hand. He slipped the ring onto her dainty finger and she stared at it with starry eyes. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
"Thank you, this is the most beautiful ring," she hugged him again, too emotional to speak and the satisfaction he experienced was beyond words. Once she let him go, she held his hands.
"And I want kids, Rivan. Seeing all the kids that have been born around us, I am seriously craving having a bundle of joy of our own," she professed, staring deeply into his eyes which resembled the ocean behind them.
"That’s not an issue, we can make one right now. You want to try?" his gaze had darkened with desire and Irlana had to lower hers in shyness.
"No, let’s wait a bit," she shyly whispered, making him laugh.
"Come, let’s have that romantic dinner. But remember, I am having you for dessert," he teased her again, making her pointed ears turn crimson again.
"Stop," she playfully punched his chest and both burst out laughing. They made their way to the setting that had been arranged for them to get that dinner started.
(Since character designs have not yet appeared and I am going to end the book in two to three Chapters. So I am leaving the character designs we created in the comment. Leaving Rivan for this Chapter. A special to my friend and fellow author Queen Frieza for making this one.)
