Enchanting His Heart: His Little Fox
Chapter 414: That’s It?
Song Yi leaned against the chair, lowering her gaze and moving it away, no longer looking at the man in uniform.
She smiled lightly, an enchanting charm between her beautiful brows and eyes, yet it was all indifferent and contemptuous. When her alluring eyes met his, a cold and eerie allure was unexpectedly born.
"Is that it?" Her gaze fell on the director: "Are your eyes blind? Where does it look like?"
As the woman’s indifferent gaze swept over, inexplicably, the director shivered slightly. That gaze had an inexplicable sense of oppression, giving rise to a chill in his heart.
Song Yi leisurely stood up, "Don’t bring just anyone in front of me, and don’t say anyone looks like him."
As she walked in front of the director, her steps halted, she raised her eyes and stared directly at him, her gaze seductive with a hint of sharpness. It was hard to see if she was angry or held any other emotion, but it just felt oppressive, spine-chilling.
"My assistant Wen Mu’s character is irreplaceable, no likeness, no resemblance," Song Yi said, "but I must say, these two models are quite good."
"However, director, your words have somewhat disgusted me, and as a result, I’ve become somewhat disgusted with those two as well."
"So, these two people, love whoever signs them, just don’t let them loiter around me."
The director, keeping his head down and in check, said nothing.
The woman in front of him had an unusual identity and status, and indeed he dared not speak carelessly, nor did he dare to contradict her; he could only accept whatever she said.
"Director! A model’s body had a slight issue, please check backstage. It seems serious," someone rushed over to report.
The director’s face changed, he said to Song Yi, "Sorry, President Song, I must go and check."
After saying it, the director hurried away.
The two models stood there motionless.
Song Yi turned around, glanced back twice.
They didn’t resemble Tang Si.
However... they had one thing in common.
Standing steady and poised, they looked like... practitioners!
She averted her gaze, wearing high heels, stepping away to leave.
Suddenly, a torrent of rapid airflow came toward her.
She agilely sidestepped to avoid it, only to see one of the male models holding a dagger, the tip straight towards her neck.
Song Yi’s eyes turned cold, wanting to run outside.
"Bang—!" The doors were suddenly slammed shut, in an instant, leaving four people inside.
Wen Mu, Song Yi, and those two models.
Looking at the tightly shut door, Song Yi stopped in her tracks, turning to face the two models: "Who are you?"
"The ones here to take your life," one of them answered coldly.
Their tone carried an extremely strong sense of purpose, aimed straight at her life.
With that, they charged at Song Yi again.
Song Yi knew she had talents bestowed by fate, but she wasn’t sure where the limits of those talents lay, just like now, she didn’t know if she could handle these two. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
She should have long found a boxing gym to test her abilities to see where she stood.
Wen Mu watched these two, examining the situation.
They were professional and top-tier assassins; his long, deep black eyes glanced at the small-statured woman beside him.
What was her identity, needing such killers to come after her?
"Ahem..." Wen Mu lightly coughed, "We can talk this out, she has plenty of money, if you want money, you can name a price, she can definitely afford it. What grudge or hatred doesn’t need to reach the point of taking her life?"
"Moreover, she’s just a woman, you two don’t need to fight her together, do you?"
As Wen Mu spoke, Song Yi glanced sideways at him.
His demeanor remained calm and composed, as if even if the sky were falling, he would always wear this expression.
Either Wen Mu had excellent mental resilience, exhibiting a false calm and tranquility.
Or such scenarios were so routine for Wen Mu that he had become this serenely poised in response.
From Song Yi’s perspective, Wen Mu had an inexplicable familiarity, as if she had seen him somewhere long ago...
At this moment, the two assassins wore cold faces, exuding a murderous, fierce aura.
One was designated to handle Wen Mu, the other Song Yi.
An assassin with a mission stops at nothing, not resting until the goal is achieved.
Initially, Wen Mu wanted to shield Song Yi.
Later realized it was completely unnecessary; Song Yi didn’t need it at all.
A top-level expert, if a task is accepted, it won’t fail.
But on Song Yi’s hand, she couldn’t gain the upper hand.
Wen Mu’s mind sank deeper and deeper.
Becoming more curious about what kind of person Song Yi truly was, increasingly intrigued by her identity.
At least she was definitely not just someone who had learned martial arts ordinarily, but someone trained professionally and rigorously into a fighter.
Every move was sharp and fierce.
The one dealing with Song Yi hadn’t expected she would be so difficult to handle.
A sweeping kick full of intent came towards Song Yi, who propped herself on a table, leaping into the air to dodge.
She breathed slightly heavily.
No matter how good the physique, stamina would eventually falter in prolonged combat.
Song Yi understood well, even if she possessed the ability to fight, her stamina wasn’t great.
This was a hard truth, something unchangeable.
She squinted slightly, eyeing the man in front. They couldn’t keep fighting like this.
Had to find a way to end this fight, or soon enough, she’d be on the losing end.
She was just about to speak.
"Nobody move." Suddenly, a mechanical female voice sounded from the shadows.
Then, a red dot aimed straight at the center of Song Yi’s brows. It dazzled her eyes briefly, warning her: "Move again, and you immediately die."
Song Yi’s movements halted, remaining still.
Not knowing where the speaker was or what these people intended to do, her palms issued a dense cold sweat.
Her gaze inadvertently glanced at Wen Mu nearby.
He still seemed unafraid, calm and composed.
Song Yi closed her eyes slightly; Wen Mu seemed... to have significant value for investigation.
"What do you want?"
She had to clarify what these people intended. What was their purpose? Everything happening today didn’t seem coincidental at all.
"Nothing much, we just want to take you for a ride, cooperate with us for a minor surgery, and you can leave. If you resist, then you can only die."
"What surgery?"
"You don’t need to know, just cooperate and go with the two in uniforms."
