The giant electro-saur didn’t waste a second as it turned in our direction and charged at us.

I immediately created an earth wall to shield Alazar and the others behind me while firing googum at the charging Electrosaur’s leg, but the beast wiggled and twisted its body to evade the attacks. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

The electricity around the beast cracked with intensity, and suddenly the beast’s body appeared as just a blur.

The creature’s moves were just too fast for me to keep up with. It was as if it had all its stats on speed.

Hastily, I flew into the air just in time, as a second later the beast crashed into the earth wall behind me. If I had been a second late, I would’ve been crushed between the earth wall and the monster that slammed into it.

The electrosaur was an F-ranked monster, but it had a special parasite inside of it that boosted its stats and gave it an electric property. With this, this beast could very well be comparable to an E-ranked monster.

The earth wall shook from the force of the attack without collapsing.

The beast then turned its attention back to me once again, and in that very second, its entire body turned into a blur and disappeared from sight.

Sensing the incoming danger, I instinctively moved to the side, and in the next second, the beast’s claws were cutting through the air right where I once was.

Its movements were just a flash of blue light to my eyes. I had the speed to keep up with this monster, but my eyes weren’t advanced enough to keep track of the beast.

Suddenly, the world around me became perfectly clear, as if someone had suddenly turned up the resolution in a game. I could now take in every color and every tiny detail in my surroundings.

Every movement was now perfectly clear to me, and everything around me seemed to be moving 2 or 3 times slower than their regular speed.

Even the electrosuar seemed much slower than it was before. It was no longer as threatening as before.

With several different consciousnesses working together in harmony to dodge the monster’s attack, I no longer had to worry about the beast anymore.

I decided to use one of the consciousnesses to focus on the evolutions that were now available to me while the rest focused on the electrosaur that was desperately trying to get to me.

-Eye Evolution-

[Hawk Eyes: Eyes similar to those of a hawk. These eyes are oval in shape and have slitted irises.

Benefit: Allows user to spot and locate prey or any object from several meters away. These eyes specialize in tracking things from a distance.These eyes also allows user to see perfectly in the dark.

Obsidian Dragon Eyes: Bright orange dragon eyes belonging to the obsidian dragon of calamity. These eyes glow with heat and share the same color as molten lava.

Benefit: These eyes grant the user the ability of thermal vision. Users can see the heat signature of any living or nonliving thing.

Feline Eyes: Eyes similar to an ancient feline monster. These eyes feature dark slitted irises.

Benefit: These eyes are specialized in picking up fast movements. In its more advanced forms these eyes can allow the user to pick up on movements before they even happen, hence allowing user to predict physical attacks.

Gnosis Eyes: Beautiful bright blue eyes. If one were to look deep within the irises of these eyes, it would look as if an entire ocean of strange blue energy was crashing together like waves.

Benefit: These eyes allow the user to see the flow of mana both inside and outside a person’s body.

After going over the options for a minute or two, it didn’t take long for me to figure out which option would be the right choice for me.

It was honestly a no-brainer.

Immediately a warm sensation began enveloping my eyes as a brilliant blue light began flowing from my pupils.

[Mana Sight: When activated, it allows the user to see the flow of mana in their surroundings.]

Without wasting a second, I activated the skill. Immediately I could tell that my vision had changed.

I could see particles of blue energy floating around the room. But the brightest of all was coming from the beast in front of me.

There was a circular blue mass of energy within its stomach. The mass branched off into different veins through the monster’s body, but somewhere along the way, this energy was being intercepted.

This new energy had a different signature from the energy belonging to this beast. This energy was flowing from the monster’s brain.

I immediately knew that this was none other than the parasite that had infected the Electrosaur.

This energy merged with the beast’s original energy and exited its body in the form of electricity.

At first glance this evolution might have seemed useless. All it allowed me to do was see mana, which was usually an invisible energy.

But the true power of this skill truly shines when combined with an ability I already have.... Mana sense.

Mana sense allowed me to sense and understand magic on a fundamental level after witnessing its application.

After activating mana sight, my mana sense skill will allow me to understand the flow of mana I am now able to see.

This meant that by keeping track of the flow of mana inside the opponent’s body, I could figure out the spells they were going to use before the magic was even applied!

The electrosaur’s mana was pooling inside its head, and by analyzing this flow of mana with mana sense, I predicted the beast’s next move.

Without wasting another second, I covered myself in the sticky, rubbery fluid I called googum and dived headfirst towards the monster.

The beast stood still as it continued to pool its mana inside its head before releasing it for one thunderous explosion of lightning.

The bolt struck me with pinpoint accuracy, but with the goo covering my body, its attack was rendered useless.

Combining my mold skill and my earth control spell, a large obsidian spike ripped from the ground and skewered the monster where it stood, spraying it green blood all over the ground.

Then as the beast flailed in agony, my stinger came down with one final judgment, relieving the monster of its head with a single strike.
