Caelus recognized these names. Orion Vance was part of the holy church. The Holy King, as they called him. Rachel was their Rachel. Mint Aurelius was the older sister of Princess Bubblegum, commonly known as the Reality Queen. Doris Morales was a powerful woman who ran the Order Organization. She didn’t have a title; they just called her CEO Order. Seraphina Lin was a being with powerful control over water. She was known to have worked with the player’s association when there was a huge tsunami in the eastern continent that could drown half a continent.

She came and altered the trajectory of the water, saving countless lives. She is commonly known as the Queen of Seas. Jarek Rogers was a soldier. He worked for the Aurelius kingdom. Aurelius was one of the most powerful kingdoms in the central plains, after all.

They were also affiliated with the church.

"Is this based on popularity?" Caelus blinked as he showed the thing to Sylvia. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

"Strange. How come I wasn’t able to vote?" Sylvia rubbed her chin thoughtfully.

"Maybe it was only available to a select few, or perhaps the system wanted an unbiased vote. Chances are, those in the other candidate parties also didn’t receive the option to vote, since they would naturally only vote for their party members."

Sylvia nodded. That made sense.

Just then, old man Welt called.

"Did you see the system notification? The list has been released to the public already," old man Welt’s speechless voice came through.

"I’m aware," Caelus replied with a thin smile.

It had been almost four weeks since the new servers opened. But Caelus’s popularity had far surpassed even the likes of his own daughter and Orion Vance. It was unbelievable.

But at the same time, the internet had mixed opinions on Player 555.

A forum that showed the list had hundreds of thousands of comments. They were either talking about Orion Vance, other candidates, or Player 555.

But it made sense. If Sylvia said she was Caelus’s second biggest fan, no one would claim to be first, or if they did, Sylvia would just prove them wrong.

He continued reading. Most of the posts were just outright hating him, praising him, or comparing him with other candidates, saying he was worthless and just a kid. It did make him feel uncomfortable.

People he didn’t know or even do anything to, just plainly hating for no reason.

Such was life. Hate is everywhere; navigating through that hate is what makes you a better person.

After calming down Sylvia, who began almost crashing out seeing the hate comments, his eyes fell onto a comment.

[WikiWarrior9: What does being a candidate even do, aside from being like the ruler of the planet and stuff?]

That, he was also curious about. Luckily, there was an option to look at it.

He swiftly looked at the system screen for available information.

He went to see who it was. Surprisingly, it was Brenda Perez.

She stood there in a lady-like uniform, something the nobles of this world wear.

Caelus, seeing this, opened the door.

"Hello, miss," he smiled as he greeted her. "Welcome to my humble abode. To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"

"I wanted to talk," Brenda spoke.

"Come on in then." Caelus let her in without hesitation.

He had a good impression of Brenda Perez.

She was kind enough to warn him while going out to find the ancient mindfolk and also kind enough to escort him back outside the challenge domain despite the other families eyeing him to get the treasure while he was vulnerable.

He knew all about it.

Perez saved him. Since that was the case, shouldn’t he at least listen to her?

Soon, they went to the living room.

Sylvia was there, in her same place, eating Pocky sticks. She glanced at Brenda with a side eye and continued watching the TV, treating Brenda as if she were air.

"..." Brenda’s lips twitched when she saw how Sylvia was acting.

For some reason, she felt like this girl hated her and she didn’t know why.
