Endless Extraction in a Game-Like World
Chapter 232: The Ender of Life, Brother Origin! Seraphin Lin’s whereabouts And The Ender of Death
The person standing in front of him had a tiny frame. She had both of her hands on her hips and a slightly angry look.
"Origin. Can you stop running around? I have been following you, but halfway through, I lost my direction."
"???" Caelus’s eyes widened seeing the girl in front of him.
Was this not the heiress of the Alisson Colgemorte Group?
But that was not what he was fixated on. He was fixated on the way she addressed him.
"Origin."
Caelus had a dawn of realization as he stared at the tiny girl. He understood why he felt strange seeing her picture earlier. Now that he stood close to her, he understood it even more clearly.
"Ender," Caelus voiced slowly.
A grin formed on the girl’s face.
"It is good that you noticed it, Origin," she giggled. "I was looking around everywhere for you, by the way."
"I even ran away from home."
Caelus, however, was looking at her with a frown and a wary expression. She did not give off a threatening aura. She had roughly the same power level as him.
"Are you thinking about hurting me, Origin?" She seemed to have sensed Caelus’s change of demeanor and asked in a sad tone.
"Why are you treating me like this?" The girl almost teared up. "I was just trying to find you because that was the final wish of the previous Ender of Life."
"Ender of Life?" Caelus looked at her strangely. No memories jogged on that.
"That is right," she said proudly. "I am the Ender of Life. I can revive people!"
"..." Caelus’s lips twitched.
He did not know whether his fellow Ender was acting or not. If she was acting, then she deserved an A+ for it.
"Origin. I want a shower. I have not taken a shower in days," she added, grumbling. "Ever since I came into this world from the Abyss, I was running around from people in black and white suits." She sighed.
"..."
A few moments later, inside Caelus’s dorm, he sat there with a completely speechless look on his face.
One thing led to another. In the end, the heiress of the Alisson Group, Freya Alisson, came back with him to take a shower.
However, this person was not an ordinary heiress. She was an Ender, someone who shared almost the same story and origin as him.
His mind was racing. Before he let her in, he had asked her several questions. He even made sure that nothing would go wrong.
His heart was heavy. How was it that he had already encountered an Ender, but this Ender was way too innocent?
He was sure that if someone persuaded her enough, she could get kidnapped with just a piece of candy. That was how gullible she was.
She soon emerged from the bathroom wearing her old clothes. She had a satisfied and relaxed look on her face.
"Now I will go to sleep, Caelus. Good night." As she said that, she jumped right into Chad’s bed.
"Wait, wait!" Caelus was utterly dumbfounded. He swiftly called out to her before she fully fell asleep.
"What is it, Caelus?" Freya asked.
"You cannot just come into my room like this and not explain anything," Caelus said with a helpless look. "Tell me from the beginning. How did you get here, and what is the relationship to the previous Ender?"
"Hm." Freya was thoughtful before she gave a cheerful, short nod twice.
"So, I was a village girl in a village on a planet. One day, I encountered a flower. This flower held the power of an Ender, and I became an Ender. I did not fully get the memories of the previous Ender, but I got her personality as well as her obsession. I also sometimes dream about the past."
"The previous Ender of Life was like a little sister to the original Origin," she added cheerfully. "So you are my big brother, Caelus."
"Not how it works," Caelus said with a helpless look. But he knew that his words were not going to reach this girl.
"And after that?"
"I entered the domain, became really strong, and left the Abyss through a portal."
"During that time, I have been trying to contact my god. But she is ignoring my calls. I think I got a hit on her now. Let’s go find her, Caelus."
"And who is this god?" Caelus asked curiously.
"Tiamat," she said cheerfully. "She is called Seraphin Lin nowadays."
Caelus was taken aback hearing this.
"Does that mean she is here now?" Caelus had totally forgotten about her. She was with him during the Abyss, and to think she had arrived on Earth.
"Yep, yep. She is in another country, though." Freya was thoughtful. "Maybe we can go by plane."
"..." Caelus was silent. If an Ender could sense their god, how come he could not sense the Divine God of Boundless Light or the Ancient Dragon God?
But on the other hand, he was not sure whether the Ancient Dragon God was dead or not.
"But this also means the Ender of Death can also sense Sylvia."
Caelus’s expression turned grim.
If the Ender of Life was here, then that would mean the Ender of Death was most likely in the same world as well.
He could not let the Ender of Death find Sylvia!
But where was he going to start?
"Can you find the god of the Ender of Death?" Caelus asked Freya.
"Hm?" Freya tilted her head. "Nope. Only the Ender of Death herself can do it. And I do not think she is here. Death is my parallel. Hence, I would be able to know to a certain extent whether she is here or not, but she is not here."
Caelus heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing this. That was great.
But everything was slowly connecting. Seraphin Lin, Freya. But where was Sylvia in all this?
"I am going to sleep now, Caelus. I have not slept in days searching for you. It is bad for my skin," Freya said with a pout.
Then, without another thought, she collapsed onto the bed, snoring away.
Caelus wore a mixed look seeing this. By now, all the suspicion had left him.
For Freya to sleep like this, completely defenseless. Was this the trust she gained from the Ender of Life over the Ender of Origin?
Whatever it was, Freya could be ruled out as an enemy. She could become a crucial ally to him.
Once she woke up, he would ask her more about these things.
Caelus also took some time to sort his thoughts before he took out his phone and began scrolling.
And while scrolling, he came across a piece of news that caught his attention.
