"Eva, why are you taking my shirt off?"

"I don’t want to get it dirty when I drink your blood."

"Then why are you taking your own shirt off?"

"Well, I also don’t want blood to stain my clothes."

Alex blinked, finding her response still suspicious but perfectly valid. That should have been fine... if not for the one more thing the young lady was trying to pull off.

"Then why are you removing my pants as well?"

"It’s because it’s in the way~"

Alex could practically see that Evangeline’s eyes had now turned into hearts. Whenever she was like this, it would never end with her just drinking his blood.

She would be drinking something else as well.

The young lady had developed a habit of doing this whenever Alex came back after disappearing from the academy for days, leaving her behind. When she thought of Alex, her desire for him increased, which directly affected her blood cravings.

When Alex was around, she was calm and collected.

But when he was out, she’d experience withdrawal. Memories from their childhood, when he had to leave her behind, would fill her head.

It made Evangeline feel sad and lonely, and she didn’t want to feel that way again. If she could have her way, she would tie Alex’s arms and legs to the corners of her bed, making sure he wouldn’t be able to leave her side.

She fantasized that scene many times inside her head, but she would never do such a thing in real life.

Why?

Because she genuinely loved Alex, and she respected his freedom.

She had no qualms sharing his heart with a few other ladies. That much was tolerable. As long as he wouldn’t disappear in her life again, such things were mere trivialities.

"It’s your fault. So just be a good boy and let me have it," Eva said as she did her best to stop herself from devouring her lover then and there.

She lightly pressed her lips over his neck, kissing it three times before giving it a lick. The young man thought that she would now bite and drink his blood. However, she didn’t do that.

The young lady instead continued to kiss, nibble, and lick his shoulder, collarbone, neck, and even chest, especially the part where his heart was beating.

Alex shuddered as the young lady repeatedly kissed the place where his heart was located, as if it was an object that she worshiped.

It made him realize once more just how much Evangeline loved him, making his heart ache from the tender and sweet feelings that she was showing him.

As if finally reaching her limit, Evangeline gave Alex a deep and passionate kiss on the lips before reluctantly pulling back to finally start feeding.

The moment her fangs pricked his skin and her tongue touched the first drop of his blood, a soft sigh escaped her lips.

Her hands then wrapped around Alex’s body, pulling him closer to her as if she wanted for them to merge and become one.

Since Evangeline had removed her upper clothes, the young man could feel the warmth of her body.

It was quite hot. The type of heat that someone with a fever possessed. Though, Alex wasn’t too worried because Evangeline’s body naturally heated up the moment she started drinking his blood, probably reacting to his blood.

But due to their closeness, Alex could feel the softness, warmth, and curves of her body.

In fact, Alex was very tempted to slide down his hands that were resting on Evangeline’s waist.

But he understood that if he did that, there would be no turning back.

He was already doing his best to stop the little Shield Hero from rising, but it was no use.

His body couldn’t stop itself from reacting to his lover’s charm, which he also missed after spending many days inside the Dungeon of Beasts.

A few minutes later, Evangeline had drunk her fill and reluctantly pulled back.

She then dreamily started kissing Alex’s body starting from his neck, to his collarbone, to his chest, to his stomach, and his abs.

But she didn’t stop there.

A moment later, Alex leaned back on the wall as he received her love and devotion. It would take some time for the two of them to calm down their feelings after not seeing each other for a few days.

Half an hour later, Alex collapsed on Evangeline’s lap. He was blissfully exhausted, and his soft sleeper breaths permeated the quiet room.

"You really are relentless."

A young lady passed over the wall like a ghost, looking at the young man sleeping peacefully on her lap.

"I have no excuse," Evangeline replied. "I planned to hold back, but the moment I saw him in the gate, I just... lost it."

"Seriously. Hold back a bit, okay?" Lumi said. "You should save something for us as well."

Lumi grumbled before crouching down to plant a kiss on Alex’s cheek.

"Why not go for his lips?" Evangeline asked, genuinely curious why Lumi didn’t take the opportunity to steal a kiss from Alex’s lips.

"It’s because I prefer it when he kisses me on the lips on his own volition," Lumi replied before frowning. "You marked him quite thoroughly. I can smell your scent on his body. It’s like you licked every part of his body."

Evangeline averted her gaze, and her face turned a shade of red.

"... You actually did?" Lumi blinked.

"Un." Evangeline nodded.

"Did you... drink it all?" Lumi narrowed her eyes.

Evangeline didn’t reply, but her skin tone that was almost glowing was enough proof that she was guilty as charged.

A long and deep sigh soon escaped Lumi’s lips before she shook her head helplessly.

"The early bird gets to eat the early worm," Lumi muttered. "I should have been the one to meet him first."

In a fit of anger, Lumi crouched down and pecked Alex’s cheek three times before walking away to leave the library.

But before she left, she reminded Evangeline to wake Alex before dinner, or else he would wake up very hungry in the middle of the night.

Fortunately, Alex woke up an hour later. He then returned to the dormitory while walking hand in hand with Evangeline.

Naturally, their proximity drew in the stares of the people that they passed along the way.

However, Alex couldn’t be bothered with their judgmental stares. In the past, he might have flinched. But after spending time with his lovers, he decided that it would be best to let everyone see how lovey dovey they were!

So what if they stare?

So what if they get jealous?

When they arrived at the dormitory, Evangeline finally bade goodbye to Alex because she lived in the same dormitory as the other noble children.

But just as soon as he entered the common room, Alex saw Vaan with his arms crossed over her chest, looking at him with a sweet smile on his face.

"Hello, honey. Welcome back!" Vaan said with a smile.

There were several girls behind him, whom Alex had recognized. They were the girls that gave him a judgmental stare earlier and left without a word.

Clearly, they went to tell Vaan about "her" boyfriend’s cheating, which Vaan found quite amusing.

"We caught you red-handed!" one of the girls said while pointing at Alex.

"You even have kiss marks on your neck!" another girl declared.

"Admit your crime, you fiend!"

"If you don’t want Vaan, give her to me!"

"Damn it! I hope you slip on a banana peel!"

Alex could only shake his head at those who were clearly jealous of him because they were still single.

He calmly walked toward Vaan, held his hand, and gently pulled him away from the angry mob.

"Guys, it’s not my fault if I’m attractive," Alex said calmly. "Please do your best to become as popular as me."

He even winked at the angry mob before taking Vaan away.

Vaan just played along, allowing Alex to take him to his room.

But the moment Alex opened the door, he saw Princess Xenia, Chuck, and Mary sitting on the bed and hugging each other.

The three seemed to have finally come to an understanding and were enjoying this moment together.

Alex and Vaan blinked once, then twice, before firmly closing the door to give the three some private time.

"Hungry?" Vaan asked.

"I’m starving," Alex replied.

"Cafeteria food?"

"Lead the way, My Lady."

Vaan chuckled and dragged Alex toward the cafeteria, passing through the common room and winking at the students gathered there.

He was genuinely happy that his friends seemed to be improving their relationships with each other, just like a chariot that was moving across all the obstacles that blocked their way.
