When he arrived at the meeting spot, a familiar figure came bounding toward him, just as he’d expected.

The Elf Dragon joyfully pounced into his arms and began happily licking his face, its own way of expressing its delight.

"I’ve been waiting for you for a long time."

Just then, Alina’s soft voice drifted over.

Su Xuan’s gaze shifted to find her sitting by the lake, elegantly enjoying her afternoon tea.

"Sorry I’m late."

Su Xuan walked over to Alina’s side and slowly sat down.

"So you want to see the Elf Queen? And you came to me to find out where she might be in her leisure time, is that it?" Alina accurately surmised his entire plan.

"Yes."

"I can tell you where and when the Elf Queen will be, but you have to agree to one condition." Alina smiled, propping her cheek on one hand and giving Su Xuan a playful look as she made her demand.

"What condition?" Su Xuan was curious. ’What kind of condition would the Princess of the Elf Kingdom possibly propose?’

Alina didn’t answer right away. Instead, she raised a slender finger and waved it gently through the air.

In the next moment, a curtain of night seemed to fall around them, isolating their small area from the outside world. Even the Elf Dragon was shut out.

Su Xuan’s eyes narrowed at the sudden appearance of this private space.

’What does Alina want to ask? Why all the secrecy?’

Just then, Alina asked, "Can you let me see it?"

"What if an Elf sought Power and fell into darkness simply to avenge a friend? Do you think she could be forgiven?" Alina asked, still drawing.

All the while, her gaze would occasionally dart toward Su Xuan, always, whether intentionally or not, drifting toward a certain spot.

"I suppose it depends on the specifics. As long as she hasn’t done anything truly heinous, I think she could be forgiven," Su Xuan continued.

Upon hearing Su Xuan’s answer, Alina’s paintbrush paused. A smile touched her lips. "I understand what you mean."

"’Don’t tell me you...’" Su Xuan frowned, suspecting that Alina herself had become a Dark Elf.

"Don’t jump to conclusions. I am eternally loyal to the Elf Queen. The one who fell into darkness was a friend of mine," Alina quickly explained.
