Chapter 226: Private Study Session

The Monday classes continued with a slow pace as usual, making most students feel like time was being stretched eternally.

In the end, the closing bell rang across the school building, followed by audible sighs and suppressed squeals of the students.

Hazel closed her notebook the moment the instructor left the class, then placed it in her bag.

She needed to leave early so she could make some preparations.

Before she stepped out, she looked at the whole class and said.

"The group study will start tomorrow. Still, I’ll endeavor everyone to still study tonight. There is no time to waste."

Soon after she left, the others dispersed in groups. Fortunately, it seemed they had matured a bit after spending a full semester in the academy.

Instead of chatting idly as they usually would, they were discussing about their weak subjects while they returned to the dormitory.

Even Jose was actually being serious with his academics.

Although life in the academy was sometimes very complicated, no one could deny the freedom they enjoyed. Especially now that the limiters were inactive.

These qualities were enough to make anyone reluctant to be expelled.

"Kaiser. I want to see you."

Mordica suddenly approached Kaiser, standing before him with her arms folded.

The remaining students in the class all fell silent. They had never witnessed this purple-haired ice queen initiate a conversation with anyone, so when she spoke, it was extremely surprising.

Kaiser looked at her, trying to read her expression.

However, the girl didn’t let him. She immediately turned around, then left the class to wait for him outside.

The blue-haired boy shrugged internally, then stood up with his bag. Without saying a word, he left the class too.

Mordica was waiting for him right outside the class, and as soon as he appeared, she began leading the way out of the school building.

They didn’t say a word to each other, only walking side by side.

Some other students who were passing by noted the duo, as they were quite infamous among the first-year students.

Finally, after stepping out of the building, Mordica glanced at Kaiser and asked.

"Are you good in Biology?"

The question was simple, but left Kaiser puzzled. He turned to her curiously.

"You’re having problems with it. What part exactly?"

The girl’s expression twitched, but she kept a straight face as she answered.

"Nirad Biology. Human and animal biology pose no difficulties to me."

"I see," Kaiser nodded.

Generally, Nirad Biology was a broad section under Biology that most students had trouble with.

Unlike Human and Animal biology, this section specialized on studying the structure, body, and behavioural patterns of Nirad creatures.

Unfortunately, Nirad creatures weren’t like normal animals here on Earth. They were more complex and even distorted some of the biological laws that several genius scientists had proved right in the past.

Therefore, it wasn’t surprising for students to have issues with that section of biology.

"So, can you provide assistance? I can pay you."

Kaiser didn’t reply immediately. He continued walking with her, then glanced at a yoghurt stall by the sidewalk.

Now, there was a different clerk working there.

"I want a vanilla super yoghurt."

Clearly not expecting that request, a trace of surprise flashed in Mordica’s eyes. After confirming that he wasn’t joking, she walked to the stall and bought the cup-sized yogurt from the female clerk.

Kaiser accepted it with a nod, then said.

"It’s settled then. You can just join my group when Hazel creates it."

Surprisingly, the purple-haired girl disagreed.

"No. I want a private teaching. I can’t stand being together with the others."

Kaiser glanced at her in amusement. He hadn’t expected her to be even more reclusive than the Hazel of the first semester.

"Alright. I’ll spare you some extra time. But it comes along with a condition."

Mordica’s eyes narrowed. "What condition? Don’t suggest anything absurd like wearing a particular cosplay costume or anything."

Hearing her words, Kaiser paused and looked at her in bewilderment.

How did she even think of that?

Chuckling to himself, he began drinking the yoghurt.

"It’s nothing absurd. But I want you to attend the last study session I’ll be taking for my group."

She folded her arms, her gaze piercing. "Is there something you want to achieve by making me attend your study session with others? Also, you seem confident that you’ll actually get people who would be willing to learn from you."

Kaiser just shrugged. "I’m pretty confident that there would be three to four students who are willing. I can at least predict that much."

Mordica gave him a long look, then shook her head.

"Is that so? As expected of someone from that clan. You’re always planning ahead."

Adjusting the straps if her bag, she said. "I agree to your condition. However, I’m starting tonight. You set up the location."

Without waiting for his reply, she hastened her steps and walked away.

Kaiser stopped, yoghurt in mouth as he watched her move quickly.

"Girls are really... very bold these days."

He had just been complaining inwardly about Adela, yet Mordica had just shown up with her own request, surprising him again.

’Well, it’s not bad. At least they managed to surprise me.’

And that in itself, was very interesting.

A chuckle slipped from his lips again, becoming a third today.

Perhaps Maya was right—a person’s ’color’ wasn’t all there is to them.

......

Mordica returned to her room, hanged her bag by the shelf, then took off her uniform.

Concealed beneath the royal blue suit and white shirt was a body worthy to be worshipped by men.

Even more outstanding than Ysabella, Mordica’s figure and beauty was jaw-dropping.

This was only natural as witches had a special charm and were always seen as humans with bodies like that of an imaginary succubus.

The girl stared at herself in the mirror, her expression unchanged.

Then, her phone vibrated. She went ahead to pick it up, expecting a game notification. As an avid fan of games, that was the only type of notification she had ever received.

Surprisingly, it was a message from Kaiser. The moment she read it, her expression cracked.

"He wants to teach me... in my own room?!"
