"Guo Wei, where do you think you’re going?" 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Zamuhai and Hamu led over eighty men in relentless pursuit.

Guo Wei’s mount, Red Boy, was a fine steed capable of covering a thousand li, but unfortunately, it was getting on in years. Having not made many long journeys recently, it simply couldn’t outrun the warhorses of the Turkic Kingdom.

But Guo Wei wasn’t panicked.

On the Thousand-Mile Plain, he saw a small tribe ahead and rode Red Boy to charge swiftly toward it.

"Does he intend to hide in there?"

Zamuhai frowned.

"He might be planning to take hostages to make us let him go."

As Hamu spoke, he asked one of his men, "Banu, what tribe is that up ahead?"

"Reporting to Commander Hamu, that’s a splinter group of the Aika Tribe—just the old, weak, sick, and disabled who couldn’t make it in the main tribe and were driven over here."

A man named Banu replied.

"Since they’re all just burdens, there’s no use in keeping them around. Ignore them. We must capture Guo Wei alive!"

Zamuhai no longer felt any restraint.

"YAHHHH!"

The eighty-odd men, dressed as horse bandits, let out shrill cries as they charged toward the small tribe ahead.

The small tribe was instantly thrown into chaos, its people terrified. Fortunately, a village elder managed to restore order, quickly getting everyone into a defensive posture.

But how could they possibly stop Zamuhai and his men?

A few of the stronger men tried to raise the cheval de frise at the entrance to block the way, but they were shot dead from a distance with arrow shafts by Zamuhai’s men. The eighty-plus riders charged into the tribe unimpeded, a mighty torrent of men and horses.

"SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!"

"SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!"

But just as the group entered the tribe, six feathered arrows shot out from within.

"PTHWACK!"

The six figures at the front, each with an arrow in their chest, fell from their horses and were trampled to death by the riders behind who couldn’t stop in time.

"It’s Guo Wei!"

"SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!"

Zamuhai saw a figure darting about inside the tribe—it was Guo Wei. He hastily drew his bow, nocked an arrow, and fired repeatedly at him.

Unfortunately, the tribe was full of tents and obstacles. Guo Wei’s Body Technique was superb, and the arrow shafts from Zamuhai and his men all missed their mark.

"SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!"

In contrast, Zamuhai’s group was large and crowded at the tribe’s entrance, effectively turning them into living targets. Every arrow Guo Wei fired claimed a life.

"Damn it! Guo Wei, get out here!"

Enraged, Zamuhai spurred his horse and charged in Guo Wei’s direction.

Hamu closed in from another direction, simultaneously shouting to his men, "Spread out! Surround this place! Don’t bunch up!"

"SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!"

"SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!"

Guo Wei leaped onto a tent and fired arrow after arrow at the scattered soldiers at the entrance. His Archery was magnificent, his perception god-like. Not a single shot missed; every arrow was fatal.

"ROAR!"

Zamuhai locked onto Guo Wei’s figure. He used his Long Spear to fling a wooden cart, smashing it down toward Guo Wei on the tent.

"SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!"

Guo Wei fired three quick arrows at Zamuhai. By the time the wooden cart came crashing down, he had already vanished from the tent, which was smashed to smithereens by the impact.

"Over there!"

Zamuhai charged behind the tent, but Guo Wei was gone. His expression twisted. He had fully unleashed his six-layered Dharma Aspect, yet Guo Wei’s Archery was so formidable that the third arrow had broken through his defenses. It shattered his Qi Phase Scale Armor and his Divine Image Small Vortex, leaving a cut on his cheek.

"HYAH!"

Guo Wei, riding Little Red Horse, charged out from the back of the tribe. He glanced at his now-warped Great Bow, tossing it aside with a sigh. ’If I had the Storm Divine Bow,’ he lamented, ’I never would have had to split up with Lin Guang and Hei Hu!’

Guo Wei had originally planned to use the tribe as a battleground to harry Zamuhai’s group, using his Archery to pick them off one by one.

Unexpectedly, Zamuhai and his men were too bloodthirsty.

They didn’t even spare the tribespeople. Though Guo Wei hated the Turkic, he was not one to slaughter the innocent. Moreover, the people of this tribe were all old, weak, sick, and disabled. Watching their homes be torn apart by Zamuhai’s soldiers, some even trampled to death, Guo Wei could not bear it.

"Guo Wei, where do you think you’re running!"

Just then, Banu led a small squad around from the tribe’s entrance, charging toward the rear. They happened to run right into Guo Wei as he was charging out from the back.

He immediately led his squad to charge straight at him.

"HYAH!"

Guo Wei charged downhill on Little Red Horse.

Banu first fired three consecutive arrows at Guo Wei, but all were blocked by Guo Wei’s Lotus Spear. By the time he tried to draw his bow again, Guo Wei was already upon him.

He had no choice but to drop his Great Bow and raise his nearly two-meter-long Horse-Cutting Saber, intending to meet Guo Wei in a head-on charge.

"ROAR!"

Banu didn’t hesitate for a moment.

He unleashed all five layers of his Dharma Aspect.

The power of the Divine Image erupted, and his Dantian Qi Sea rumbled. As a warrior of the Andre Mansion, he was daring and highly skilled. His Archery was superb, and his overall strength surpassed Samba’s by an unknown number of times. He was one of Hamu’s strongest masters.

"WHOOSH!"

Yet, as Guo Wei charged, his Spear Technique delivered a forward Thrust. Banu felt as if his entire body was a single, massive opening, and he had no idea how to even wield the Horse-Cutting Saber in his hands.

All he saw was a blur.

A spray of blood erupted.

Then he fell into darkness and pitched forward.

"PTHWACK!"

Banu had brought over ten men with him, but their strength was far inferior to his. As Guo Wei charged through, no one could stop him. He knocked them all from their saddles with his Long Spear, killing each one with a single strike.

"SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!"

Just then, four feathered arrows flew toward him. It was Hamu.

He had led his men to flank from the left, but Guo Wei had emerged from the right, causing him to miss. Luckily, there was an archery tower inside the tribe. After climbing to the top, he quickly spotted Guo Wei circling around the back toward the exit.

"WHOOSH!"

Guo Wei sensed the danger.

He unleashed the Flying Leaf Lotus Spear Stab.
