Chapter 438: Mutated World of Heart

The techniques that Liora went through were of several types. They differed in functions as well as in the difficulty of learning.

Soul Knife was the simplest among them, being basically an ordinary attack that could target the enemy’s soul.

Though rare for many power systems, it was nothing out of the ordinary.

Liora would not have valued it even if she were just a Lesser Devil, much less now that she had created her Throne Prototype.

For her, such techniques were useless.

Yet, some techniques truly opened her eyes.

They seemed to directly point to the essence of the power system despite their relatively weak power.

Although they were just some basic techniques, they were extremely valuable to her.

The power of a technique was not always the decisive factor when determining its value.

Its creator’s abilities, experiences, and the heights they stood at while they were creating them were as important, if not even more.

For example, if Liora and a True Devil were to both create a True Devil Technique of the same level, it would be obvious which one would be more precious.

As Liora shifted through these techniques, she had the same feeling.

Although these techniques were not powerful on their own, the insights and concepts they contained were quite impressive.

In such a condition, Liora didn’t know how time passed.

Tomb after tomb cracked open, and its contents were revealed to her, turning into nourishment for her comprehension.

Time blurred.

The tombs grew increasingly fewer. As a result, the techniques in her mind had reached a three-digit number.

Before long, only a single tomb remained in the dark void.

It was the largest and most majestic stone tablet, and the difference from the other tombs was massive. This one occupied more than half of the void by itself.

This technique was clearly on a completely different level.

This tomb was likely to contain the technique left behind by the owner of the palace, an Ancient Devil-level being and the master of another power system.

Liora would have been excited if she had had the chance to go through this in the past.

But at the moment, her eyes remained strangely calm.

Without the slightest hint of emotion in her gaze, her consciousness dove deeper and embraced the last tomb.

The latter exploded with a thunderous bang.

Countless symbols that seemed to directly unveil the truth of the world emerged and followed the connection between Liora’s consciousness and her body.

Liora instinctively digested their contents, though their meaning was too complex for her to understand.

However, this ultimately did not matter.

The moment the last technique disappeared, the dark void began to crumble.

The inheritance palace in the outside world trembled, and a light shot towards Liora’s head. It enveloped her and enhanced her comprehension, making her seem as if she had suddenly attained enlightenment.

Liora paid it no heed. She concentrated on the technique she had just obtained and became immersed in its contents.

As more and more of it was digested, another transformation seemed to be taking place inside of her.

The insights she had obtained earlier were all combined.

The soul body seated inside her soul space opened its eyes.

They were indifferent, just like the ones of her real body, and they surveyed the space around them with an aloof gaze.

The rapidly expanding soul space, the Throne at the center of the dark void, as well as the ultimate emptiness besides her and this object.

A glimmer flashed across her eyes.

The next moment, Liora calmly stretched her hand and pointed at the space in front of her.

Her fingertip caused a ripple in the void itself.

The air vibrated briefly before the aftershock spread through the soul space.

As it did, the dark void transformed.

A trace of life appeared within it as the elements began to tumble.

Earth elements fell down and turned into ground beneath Liora’s feet, allowing her to step on it. Wind elements transformed into the air and allowed her to breathe.

Water elements gathered into several bodies of water, such as lakes and rivers, while the Fire elements flew towards the "ceiling" and settled into a giant sphere. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Within a few seconds, a world seemed to have emerged within Liora’s soul space.

The earth itself, seas, air, and even a sun had appeared.

The different elements resonated with each other.

New changes started to take place as soon as they settled.

Grass began to grow. White clouds filled the now-blue sky.

At the same time, creatures were born from nothing.

Buzzing insects that munched on the newly-grown grass and flapped their wings, colorful fish that gathered into a school in the water, singing birds whose forms whistled through the sky...

Liora watched this all take place.

Her consciousness seemed to have transformed into the Will of this world, able to observe everything in it with just a thought.

It took a little while for the changes to be completed. Or rather, for the changes to stop being so radical.

After all, Liora sensed that the soul space was still expanding, at a rate that was faster than ever before.

It was only then that Liora’s indifferent expression retreated.

Clarity emerged in her eyes once more, and the world below was reflected in her pupils.

Excitement surged in her heart.

She might not have realized what happened before, since she had entered a strange state and had almost no control over her body.

But now that everything was over, she understood what caused these changes.

Shockingly, Liora had opened her World of Heart, reaching the apex of the power system she had just come into contact with.

No! Not only had she opened her World of Heart, but a bizarre mutation seemed to have occurred!

"The World of Heart is originally an illusory concept. Even if one succeeds in opening it up, it would at most exist in their mind."

"But my World of Heart seems to be different..."

Liora exhaled softly and surveyed the world around her.

She could sense that her World of Heart had completely merged with her soul space. The two had turned into one and the same.

She didn’t know why this had occurred or what this would mean for her future.

Yet, she could sense that her soul space and the World of Heart were now deeply connected with each other.

As long as one was strengthened, the other one would also receive feedback and improve.

Thinking of this, Liora turned her attention to the creatures below.

To other people, these creatures might have looked perfectly normal.

But in her eyes, their nature was illusory and fake.

These beings were not real creatures, but merely a creation of her mind.

If she wished, she could choose to erase them with just a thought.

Yet, Liora could also feel that these creatures were becoming increasingly real as her soul space expanded.

If given time, they would really transform and turn into real beings with their own consciousness and independent thinking.

Liora had a strong hunch that if that were to happen, the benefits she would receive would be far beyond her imagination.
