Chapter 554: Life Born

As Liora’s finger pointed toward it, the Divine Dragon’s body was slowly torn apart. Its indestructible scales, skin, and bones looked powerless under the attack of the cosmic dust.

In the end, only a cluster of golden light remained where it had once stood.

As Liora moved her hand and pointed elsewhere, that light transformed into a stream and shot toward its destination.

It was a world.

Floating around the star representing the Dragon Law, it took the shape of a giant floating continent.

As the light descended and merged with it, the originally barren continent started to change.

A small speck of light flashed at its center. As its radiance receded, the object beneath it was revealed.

It was an egg.

Taller than an ordinary human and covered in intricate patterns, it looked like an ornament rather than the offspring of any being.

Moments later, a cracking sound reached Liora’s ears.

The egg trembled. A deep fracture appeared and quickly spread throughout its surface.

Then came a second crack, a third, and a fourth...

A few moments later, the entire egg exploded, revealing the creature attacking from within.

It was neither a human nor a bird.

Instead, it was a small dragon.

Its body was silver and only a few meters in height and length, resembling a miniature version of Ysset.

As soon as the silver dragon was born, it raised its head toward the sky and spoke some incomprehensible words.

Yet as they reached Liora’s ears, those mumblings turned into actual speech.

"My name is Osir Yageur Baur..."

As it solemnly announced its True Name, the baby dragon seemed to resonate with something greater.

From Liora’s perspective, this call had let it establish a connection with the Dragon Law.

A silver ray of light shot out from the star. It descended onto the continent and enveloped the baby dragon, drilling into its body and flesh.

The mythical creature’s power skyrocketed.

From possessing the aura of an ordinary Little Devil, it rapidly advanced into a Lesser Devil being.

Feeling its strength soar, the silver dragon let out what it considered to be a thunderous roar.

For a moment, it seemed to believe it could tear through the heavens and command the entire world.

Its majesty rose to its peak, as though it were the Ancestor of all Dragons and the God of Creation.

Even the Dragon Law above seemed to shine a little brighter in response to its roar.

Then...

The baby dragon dug a cave underground using its claws, crawled inside, and promptly fell asleep.

Seeing the slumbering dragon and recalling its previous majestic expression, Liora couldn’t help but feel speechless.

However, she knew it was not necessarily the dragon’s fault. The continent was currently barren. Other than the dragon itself, there was nothing there.

Even if it wanted to showcase its power, there was no one it could fight to do so.

Moreover, as she focused her gaze on it, Liora realized that the other party was not merely sleeping, but was attempting to digest the Dragon Law’s blessing.

Seeing this, Liora lingered no longer.

Her phantom shattered into fragments, and her consciousness retreated from the Cosmic Sea, snapping back to reality.

She carefully examined the changes brought about by this event.

"The Dragon Law has become one-hundred-millionth stronger...", she concluded.

At the same time, Liora sensed that she could call upon the baby dragon’s strength and use it as her own.

Although this was meaningless for the time being—as the power of a single Lesser Devil was insignificant to an Archdevil, let alone her—the potential it represented was extraordinary.

She already carried the power of the worlds themselves. If there were countless creatures residing within them and she was able to call upon their power, how strong would she become?

At that moment, Liora seemed to have realized how to strengthen this Cosmic Sea, and in turn, herself too.

The method was actually quite familiar. Not only to herself, but to every being born in the Demon World.

"The Cosmic Sea still follows the principles of Predation. Strengthening it has the same exact requirements: Swallow! Devour! Plunder!"

"Plunder other talents to give birth to more stars and worlds! Devour other creatures to bring life to these worlds! Swallow everything in your way in order to grow stronger!"

While Liora was contemplating her future path to power, the battle between two beings still raged.

Both her Blood Clone and the Elder had traveled across the entire continent several times, causing the destruction of several forbidden areas along their way.

Unfortunately, the outcome was as expected.

Although the Blood Clone devoured millions of demons and repeatedly used Snake of Time to recover, it was unable to sustain the war for long.

Following a slash from the Human Emperor Projection, the Blood Clone’s body was neatly cleaved in two.

Although it quickly recovered, that blow also sealed its fate.

The moment it regenerated, another sword slash followed. Its body shattered and recovered again, only to be torn apart once more the very next moment.

Again and again. Within seconds, the Blood Clone had perished thousands of times.

Several breaths later, its body exploded into pure blood that scattered in every direction.

It tried to squirm but remained motionless, evidence that Liora’s consciousness within it had been wiped out.

Yet the Elder felt no joy for this achievement.

She realized that she had been tricked!

The other party had never been real from the very beginning. All this time, what she had been chasing was nothing more than a mere clone.

Recalling how she had sacrificed the Imperial Capital and several cities along the way to sustain the Human Emperor Projection’s power, the Elder’s expression turned ugly.

It darkened even further when she received a message that a change was taking place in the Human Shrine.

At first, she was merely furious at being deceived.

But as she investigated the changes within the demi-plane and sensed that someone had taken away the Human Emperor’s "gift," her face twisted with fury and hatred.

Her aura shot into the sky. The Human Emperor projection did the same, as though mirroring her inner emotions.

"How dare you?!" the Elder’s furious voice echoed throughout the Blood Forest Realm, reaching every corner of its lands, including the demi-planes and countless hidden spaces within it.

Her eyes burned with hatred and bloodlust.

Without the slightest hesitation, the Elder turned around and rushed back toward the Human Temple.

While on the way, the golden scepter in her hand continuously moved. She was no longer planning to hold back.

Even if she had to sacrifice the entire continent, she had to kill the Otherworld Demon and recover the Human Emperor’s blessing!
