Victor and Amber walked towards the World Awakeners Academy and looked at the man at the counter.

"Excuse me, we would like to register for the entrance examination," Victor said.

The man looked up and replied neutrally, "Hand me your Awakeners ID."

Hearing this, Victor froze for a second, and Amber frowned while looking at Victor as if asking what the hell an Awakeners ID was.

Victor calmly signaled her.

"Here."

Victor handed over the ID he had gotten from the Association, and the man nodded and scanned it. All the information about him immediately appeared on his computer screen.

"Y-You are the person who ranked first during the first wave of registration and the mysterious sword user!" the man exclaimed excitedly as he looked at Victor.

"Huh, am I that famous?" Victor blinked, caught off guard.

"Of course you are. Maybe you haven’t been paying attention to the internet, but at the beginning no one could surpass your score, and you were ranked number one."

"Of course, later, after players became stronger, they re-challenged their rankings in the Association and your rank fell lower. Many still believe that if you challenged again, you would claim the top spot once more."

The man at the reception said this and then continued, "According to the information I received, you got a direct invitation from the Academy, but you never replied."

"Is that so?" Victor mumbled.

Honestly, he had no intention of joining the Academy at first, but he changed his mind after receiving the Tier 2 Advancement Quest.

"You can directly skip to the final round. Here is your token."

The man handed him a metallic token.

Then his eyes turned toward Amber, who was in disguise, and his breath caught seeing her beauty.

He took a deep breath to calm himself down and asked, "Excuse me, ma’am, are you also here to register?"

Amber nodded and then said, "I am, but I don’t have an Association ID."

Hearing this, the man frowned and said, "Then unfortunately I cannot register you for the Academy. You must first get an Association ID."

"Hmm, isn’t there any way to skip that?" Victor asked with a frown.

The man looked at Victor and nodded.

"There is. You need to be a Warlock. If you have a Warlock bloodline, we can directly issue you an Association ID."

"That’s a very biased attitude toward Warlocks, wouldn’t you say?" Victor remarked.

The receptionist shrugged and replied, "There are thousands of Awakeners now, but only a handful of Warlocks. Of course there would be bias."

"Well, that actually works for me. We are both Warlocks," Amber said with a smirk.

"What!" the man exclaimed and looked at Victor and Amber.

Before he could say anything, Amber pointed her finger at the table, and black frost began to spread across its surface.

’Holy... this is an Ice Warlock bloodline, just like Player Olivia, who is second only to that mysterious Faceless... and this ice is a different color.’

The man’s eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets.

Then his head snapped toward Victor.

"You also awakened a Warlock bloodline?" the man cried out.

"I did indeed. I recently awakened one in the game," Victor replied.

"Can I see your bloodline? We will need to update your information," the man said.

"That’s fine, but first deal with the thing we are here for."

Victor pointed at Amber, who was looking at the receptionist with annoyance.

"S-Sure."

The man felt a chill run down his spine when he saw Amber’s cold eyes and hurriedly registered her before handing her an ID.

"You go ahead," Victor said to Amber, who nodded.

Victor then looked at the receptionist, sighed, and raised his hand. Flame wisps appeared above his palm—two different colors, one blue and the other white, hovering above his hand.

"Fire..."

"I will update the information," the receptionist said.

Victor dismissed the flames and walked toward the examination room where Amber was waiting.

As soon as the information was updated, the internet buzzed once again.

"Holy shit, that big shot who ranked the highest in the Association Rankings has awakened a bloodline!"

"Look, his ranking has already increased!"

"Don’t two of the top ten players also have flame-related bloodlines? I wonder who is stronger."

As Victor was walking toward the examination room, his expression turned cold when he saw two men blocking Amber’s path. She was on the verge of turning them into ice sculptures.

Then a smirk appeared on his face when he recognized the duo.

"Heh, I didn’t expect to meet these two again so soon," Victor said with a malicious smile.

"Hey, beauty, what’s your name?" Kevin asked with a smug smile.

Amber merely looked at him coldly, while Ethan watched with an amused smile. However, his expression changed when he saw a familiar face approaching them.

"Hey, Kevin..." Ethan said, alarm evident on his face.

"What?" Kevin replied irritably.

Then, when he saw Victor, his face turned pale with fear and his body began to tremble.

"Well, well, look who it is. With your ugly mugs, you dare hit on my girl?" Victor said with an irritating smile as he wrapped an arm around Amber’s waist.

Both of their faces immediately turned grim.

Victor smirked when he saw their jealous and angry expressions.

"This bastard..." Kevin clenched his fists in anger as he still remembered the humiliation he had suffered at Victor’s hands a few days ago.

"Hmph. I am much stronger than before. Do you dare fight me in the entrance examination?" Kevin challenged.

The entrance test for the academy was a bit different. The examinees could pick their opponents and spar against each other, while the professors would decide whether they were eligible to enter the academy.

"Pfft, you want to fight me? Are you that eager to get pummeled?" Victor mocked.

"You..." Ethan was enraged as he clenched his fists.

"Just say whether you’re interested or not," Kevin said coldly.

Seeing the confidence in Kevin’s expression, Victor raised an eyebrow and agreed.

"Sure."
