Chapter 1213: Precepts (6)

I stared at the red dot for a long time, just like the tiger.

Hwang Ji-ho broke the silence.

"What does that red dot mean?"

"Lord To-yeon recently mentioned seeing something 'disturbing' through the Moon Palace Meridian. It’s probably related."

Eun-ho frequently kept in contact with Ok To-yeon.

Before the school trip, Ok To-yeon, whose work with the association’s satellite management team had been increasing, complained to me about having less free time. She probably whined more to Eun-ho than to me.

"Did that damn Moon Rabbit look at this thoughtlessly? I can’t even get a proper explanation."

"Lord To-yeon sees a lot through the Moon Palace Meridian. Among them are many things that are very disturbing and nauseating. If Lord To-yeon were to look closely at them to think more specifically, her mind would likely become sick very quickly."

Eun-ho's words were accurate.

The range the Moon Palace Meridian can capture is the entire surface of the moon. The range it can view at once is wider than the celestial field of Cheon Dong-ha, ‘the Eye that Embraces Heaven and Earth,’ so for mental health, filtering is necessary. For the record, when Cheon Dong-ha and I use this celestial field, we minimize the load by abstracting and summarizing the information.

Ok To-yeon must have been subconsciously protecting herself by not thinking too deeply.

"Since she’s not conscious of it, it’s not wrong to interpret that she has no thoughts, as Hwang Ji-ho thought."

Still, among her whining ❀ Nоvеlігht ❀ (Don’t copy, read here) messages, there was some useful information, and Eun-ho neatly summarized what she heard.

"The villain is trying to bring about some changes with the school trip in mind. I’ve tracked the trends of the changes and the target locations."

"If you saw the changes, did you observe them with a time lag? I doubt Ok To-yeon even knows the date or time today, as she’s living without a care."

"I specifically asked Lord To-yun to have To-yeon observe Jeju Island through the Moon Palace Meridian over time. Any information that To-yeon couldn’t interpret was reanalyzed with a program written by Song Dae-seok. Hong Gyu-bin will send additional materials soon."

Though Ok To-yeon’s trust was at rock bottom, it seemed that Ok To-yun was trustworthy enough, as the tigers seemed convinced.

Soon after, Hong Gyu-bin sent a large attachment with additional data.

Eun-ho overlaid the map sent by Hong Gyu-bin with the scale of the map used during the meeting today to match the ratios and checked it. Most of the red dots overlapped with markings on the existing map.

[Hong Gyu-bin] We couldn’t make much out of the observations from the Moon Palace Meridian alone, so we used Dae-seok’s help. Everything here was processed by him.

[Hong Gyu-bin] If you look at the results, they are within the normal range, but after considering various factors like the environment and human elements, we pinpointed some unnatural readings.

The attached file contained the results of Song Dae-seok’s hard work over the weekend.

The data on the concentration of I-neungpa in the air, changes in temperature and geomagnetic force, and the worsening water quality didn’t give any clear direction, but Song Dae-seok had neatly summarized the conclusions so that anyone, even without the same insights as him, could understand.

Song Dae-seok’s first conclusion was that someone was artificially inducing the eruption of Hallasan.

"In Plmago, if Jun-yeol hadn’t stepped in, Hallasan would have been forced to erupt. Now, Song Dae-seok has discovered the groundwork being laid for it."

Song Dae-seok couldn’t explain who or how the eruption was being induced. But, based on the changes in observation values for certain locations and time frames, he pointed out where and when the interference had occurred.

Even though Song Dae-seok wasn’t using I-neungpa to observe Jeju Island, he had, purely through knowledge, logic, and insight, pierced through the villain’s delicate maneuvers. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

The reason the villain had tampered with the satellite management team and tried to ruin Ok To-yeon, who controlled the Moon Palace Meridian, became clear.

"Song Dae-seok in Plmago also figured something out and eventually got eliminated."

Though Song Dae-seok didn’t directly appear in the replay, he was indirectly mentioned regarding the satellites.

Song Dae-seok had tried to inform people, using Seong Guk-eon’s power, that he had found traces in the satellite data. He was treated like a satellite geek just trying to stir up trouble when he wrote online, and when he consulted with the association, he was ignored, so he had no choice but to rely on the awkward metal-armed Song Man-seok.

However, it wasn’t long before Seong Guk-eon was caught up in the villain’s plot, went missing, and was killed in the garden of Poong-baek and U-sa.

"And then Song Dae-seok, in the satellite nationalization debate, became a keyboard warrior but had no influence."

Song Dae-seok had little impact online, despite his knowledge and love for satellites.

In this world, just like in the real world, many corporations and organizations owned private satellites, so it was against modern common sense for the government to claim they would nationalize them.

The Ministry of National Defense’s claim was that they wanted "transparent satellite information management and security," which was nonsensical.

It was similar to using communication and security as an excuse to get countries to sell stakes, with the goal of getting a foreign business to turn its assets over to a domestic one.

Moreover, the Ministry of National Defense had no personnel or funding to manage the satellites but was still recklessly pushing the agenda.

They had previously sold off weapons donated by the association under the guise of administrative costs, and it was speculated that they intended to nationalize and then sell off the association’s satellites.

“Even though they say they’re going to privatize water, electricity, and medical services, don’t you think it’s strange that they would nationalize player satellites, which cost more, without following procedure?”

But the government in Plmago cleverly used people’s psychology, focusing on the terms "privatization" and "nationalization" to create public support by pushing the narrative that "nationalizing important artificial structures like player satellites is the right thing to do, the government is finally acting, and we need to remove selfish, irrational players and take back the satellites."

Soon, the Korean Player Satellite, Player SAT-K, which had become state-owned, was sold off less than three months later, though the buyer and price were never reported.

With help from the nearby nations’ satellites, the association managed to extend their monitoring range and barely kept functioning, but by then Plmago’s end was approaching, so it hardly mattered.

[Hong Gyu-bin] Yi-shin... this week, the third-year students from Eungwang High are going on a school trip to Jeju Island.

[Hong Gyu-bin] I believe Je-gal Jae-geol is also leading class 0 to Jeju Island.

[Hong Gyu-bin] Are we lacking people?

As I was lost in thought while looking at Song Dae-seok’s report, Hong Gyu-bin sent another message.

Though he didn’t say it directly, it seemed like Hong Gyu-bin was worried about what might happen in Jeju Island. Since Je-gal Jae-geol was accompanying the students, it was understandable. If something happened, Je-gal Jae-geol would prioritize the students’ safety over his own life.

I understood Hong Gyu-bin’s concern, but supporting as a member of the association was more helpful than directly intervening.

[Me] The power in Jeju Island is sufficient.

[Me] Please do what the association can handle.

Hong Gyu-bin didn’t respond immediately but soon agreed.

[Hong Gyu-bin] Alright, I guess I should prepare for overtime.

[Me] Yes, please prepare.

[Hong Gyu-bin] You never even say I can rest, huh?

I ignored Hong Gyu-bin’s message and refocused on Song Dae-seok’s report. His second conclusion was that a large-scale spatial distortion would occur within Jeju Island.

Tuesday morning.

The entire family gathered in the lobby of the Red Lion Building to send off Yeom Jun-yeol for his school trip.

Though it was a short 3-day, 4-night trip, those who knew what awaited him found it hard to let him go.

Out of a desire to have him stay in this safe place a little longer, the family exchanged long farewells with Jun-yeol.

"Jun-yeol... do you really have to go?"

One of the Red Lion members spoke.

Agreeing with him, a few members of the Dragon Clan and Red Lions nodded vigorously. If Jun-yeol decided not to go on the school trip, they were ready to follow his decision.

But Jun-yeol shook his head without a second thought.

"If I were the only target, maybe I would have made that choice. Then, if I stayed behind, the villain wouldn’t have any reason to attack Jeju Island, and everyone could enjoy the trip safely."

"Jun-yeol! Don’t say it like it’s your fault!"

"Yes, I know. This is all because of the villain. Neither I, Dong-ha, nor anyone from Eungwang High did anything wrong."

Jun-bang-yeol’s cry was met with Jun-yeol’s smile, which made the family feel their hearts soften unknowingly.

After hearing the joyful words from the Dragon Clan’s benefactor, Jo Yi-shin, Jun-yeol looked more cheerful and confident than before.

As the family finished their goodbyes, they noticed Jun-yeol about to leave.

"The Dragon King is cheering for you, Jun-yeol! And so am I!"

Yoon Yeo-rang, the current priestess of Hwang, stood at the front, representing the priestesses.

Jun-yeol compared the bright cheerfulness of Yoon Yeo-rang with the suspicious farewell of the former priestess of Hwang in his mind.

He couldn’t understand how he hadn’t realized that the former priestess had abandoned the Dragon Clan. There was such a stark contrast between the two.

The warm energy surrounding Yoon Yeo-rang was like that of the Dragon King.

"Jun-yeol, it’s expected to be clear for the entire trip. But there’s something odd about the sky over there. Someone might try to make it rain on purpose."

"Yeo-rang, thank you."

Some people gasped at Yoon Yeo-rang’s words, but Jun-yeol nodded without hesitation.

He had already anticipated that someone might try to suppress his powers by making it rain.

Jun-yeol looked at the other priestesses standing by the Dragon King.

The former temporary priestess, Oh Hye-ji, had been replaced by the official priestess, Nook-yi.

She was the former Hong priestess, who had left the Dragon Clan due to Hwang’s manipulation but had returned.

And standing there was the former Hong priestess, who had now become the priestess of the Dragon Palace.

‘It’s completely different from before.’

All the priestesses had changed, and Jun-yeol knew much about it.

Jo Yi-shin had kept his promise and revealed everything without keeping secrets.

Jun-yeol said his final farewells to his family, making sure to give them all a proper farewell before stepping out.

"I’ll be back soon."

Jun-yeol left the Dragon Clan’s territory for his school trip.

As Yoon Yeo-rang had said, the weather was very clear.

Though Jun-yeol couldn’t see them, a specially selected group of bodyguards was accompanying him, prepared for today’s events.

Jun-yeol tried to sense their presence, but the bodyguards were trying to remain undetectable. He entered the air limousine heading for Eungwang High.
