Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me! - Chapter 281: Under the Moonlight
Kaiser caught her before she could even take off.
His knee struck her abdomen with brutal force.
She spat blood, a thick jet that splashed onto the ground.
"Wait—!"
He grabbed her by the hair, wrapping his fingers around the strands and slammed her down onto the ground.
The impact cracked the stone beneath her head, impact lines radiating outward around her.
She tried to summon another sword, her trembling hand still gripping the hilt.
He struck her arm.
Another crack, sharper this time.
"AAAAAHH! YOU BASTARD!"
Her blade fell to the ground.
Every blow he delivered grew more violent, more savage.
But every movement was also wounding him.
The skin on his arms tore further, the cracks widening. His muscles trembled under the strain, twitching with spasms. The energy of Sundering Eclipse was tearing his own body apart from the inside, a constant pain that should have brought him down.
Yet he did not slow down.
Katrina tried to form a new ice blade with her good hand, mana beginning to condense in her palm.
Kaiser struck her in the face.
His fist smashed into her cheek with a wet sound. Her head slammed violently against the ground.
She tried to crawl backward, her fingers clawing at the stone to pull herself away.
He caught her by the ankle and hurled her against a broken wall a few meters away.
Her body hit the stone with a sinister crack.
She struggled back to her feet, leaning against the wall to stay upright.
"*cough* Fuck... After everything I’ve sacrificed... For..."
Blood streamed from her forehead, her mouth, her nose.
She tried once more to block, raising her hands in front of her in a desperate gesture.
But this time she couldn’t manage it anymore.
Every strike landed.
Every blow wounded her more, hammering Katrina’s body with the savagery of a predator.
[Fusion progress: 20%]
[Critical bodily instability detected]
Blood flowed over Kaiser’s entire body, streaming down his arms, dripping from his chin, soaking his pants... He was unrecognizable, bathed in Katrina’s blood.
But his gaze remained fixed.
"Sundering Eclipse!"
The energy around him exploded.
A circular shockwave spread in all directions, raising a cloud of dust and debris. His long hair floated in the turbulent air, framing his face in a dark halo.
The Eclipse tattoo on his back glowed so intensely it was visible, casting light onto the ground behind him.
The blade-shaped aura around his amputated left arm became denser, more solid, almost material. It emitted a deep vibration, a continuous hum that shook the air.
<Fourth Movement: Full Moon>
The air was sliced.
A gigantic crescent of energy was born from his motion, silently hurled toward Katrina. It grew as it crossed the space, widening, intensifying...
[Fusion progress: 50%]
The slash crossed the space without a sound.
Katrina remained frozen.
For the first time since the beginning of the fight, for the first time since she had gained her power, for the first time since she had sworn to avenge her fiancé... she understood that she was going to die.
Her body no longer responded. Her techniques would be useless. This blade of pure energy was beyond anything she could face.
And at that moment...
She saw a silhouette.
A figure stood far away, at the edge of her field of vision. A masked silhouette, dressed in dark clothes, then it vanished...
A silhouette she knew... Her lips trembled.
"Isaak..."
The slash was so sharp it severed the mana around her, tearing through the energy flows like a blade through silk.
Her magic disappeared instantly. Her frost wings disintegrated into fine dust. The connection to demonic mana was brutally cut off.
The energy blade passed through her body.
Silently...
A moment later, Katrina fell to the ground.
***
Kaiser looked at Katrina’s body.
His attack had been perfectly clean. The Fourth Movement: Full Moon had passed through her flesh, her bones, her mana, meeting no resistance whatsoever. Katrina’s body now lay on the broken ground, motionless, neatly cut into two parts that were already beginning to drain of blood.
"Finally..."
She raised her eyes to the sky.
Her gaze, still filled for a moment with surprise and incomprehension, slowly emptied. Then the light left her pupils, and her face relaxed into an almost peaceful expression.
Silence gradually returned to the battlefield.
The wind continued to blow between the ruins, raising swirls of fine dust. Fragments of ice and stone lay scattered everywhere around them, some still smoking from residual energy. The impact of Kaiser’s technique had deeply gouged the ground for dozens of meters, creating a glowing scar in the earth.
Kaiser remained standing for a few more seconds.
His body trembled uncontrollably.
Fine cracks ran across his skin, like ceramic about to shatter. They slowly widened, lengthening along his arms, his torso, his face, releasing wisps of cutting aura that scorched the air on contact. The energy of Sundering Eclipse was escaping from him through these fissures, as if his body could no longer contain it.
[Fusion progress: 60% !]
Kaiser frowned slightly.
"Huh? What’s this fusion thing? Whatever."
His legs suddenly gave out.
He collapsed heavily onto the ground, his body hitting the stone with a dull thud. Pain coursed through every part of his being. His muscles were destroyed, torn apart by the energy that had flowed through them. His bones were cracked, some probably broken. The power he had used far exceeded the limits of his A-rank warrior body.
He had always known.
By using New Moon and Full Moon, he had already accepted this outcome.
He was going to die...
The only reason his heart was still beating was the immense aura of Sundering Eclipse circulating through his body. That energy was artificially keeping him alive, pumping through his veins, his organs, his brain... all while continuing to destroy him from the inside, second after second.
Kaiser stared at the night sky.
The moon shone above him... Its silver rays filtered through the scattered clouds, drawing shifting patterns across his blood-covered face.
His breathing slowed.
"Why is it... when you’re dying... you feel so peaceful..."
He exhaled softly, a long breath that seemed to carry away part of his tension.
"So free..."
His eyelids grew heavy, irresistibly drawn downward. The pain gradually faded, replaced by a pleasant coolness.
He was about to close his eyes when a small movement caught his attention.
A sand butterfly passed in front of his face.
The fine grains of sand formed fragile, almost transparent wings that slowly beat in the night air.
Kaiser blinked, thinking it was a dying hallucination.
Then a voice rang out in the distance. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"Kai!!!"
Kaiser turned his head slightly, an inhuman effort in his state.
A figure was running toward him, splashing through the puddles. His eyes widened slightly.
"Kleopatra... what are you doing here?"
