Extra's Pov: The Goddess Wants Me To Conquer Milfs
Chapter 48: Breakthrough
Eventually logan didnt know how he drifted off to sleep once more.
When he woke up, daenerys was no where to be found.
He shifted his attention to snow who was lazily sitting on the table.
As though it could feel his gaze, snow glanced up lazily and shook its head.
"Even you feel pity for me..." logan said, a wry smile apeareing on his face.
He went to the kitchen and quickly prepared a light breakfast.
When he was done, he tossed a piece of toast towards Snow, however the little guy just slapped the bread away and began waving hsi hands about, explaining to logan what it consumed.
"Meat?"
Snow shook its head.
"How about fish? I heard cats love those?"
Snow still shook it’s head.
Logan shook his head after being unable to make a complete statement with the little creature.
"Are you hungry? You havent eaten anything since you arrived."
The cat shook its head, signalling that it wasnt hungry yet.
With that logan was relieved and no lonegre paid attention to the little guy, he would discover what the cat was interested in later on.
With that, he pushed the thought aside
His day went on as usual.
He continued increasing his proficiency with the coin toss origin technique.
At the same time, he continued deepening his mastery of the spatial telekenesis.
Logan’s day passed smoothly in this fashion.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, logan’s heart began racing slightly.
The time he dreaded the most since his arrival at the state was gradually approaching.
Logan frowned slightly as he glanced up at the skies through the window.
The sun was finally vanishing.
Now, the moon, lonenly with a hint of melancoly, gradually walked higher into the skies.
Logan glanced at his surroundings and frowned slightly, then got back to training.
Whatever happened, he would handle it.
Time passed gradually, the cool night breeze gently swaying through the night.
Shivering slightly the cat vanished from it’s location and apeared atop the bed then covered itself with the blanket.
Logan remained still, continously practicing his techniques.
An hourpassed, then another, then another...
Logan occasioanlly glanced at the clock on the wall.
The time was 2:00 am and Daenerys still hadnt arrived.
Another hour passed in silent tension.
Logan was no longeer able to focus on practicing,
He began pacing around slightly, his steps even and light in the night.
Anotehr hour went by and he walked to the window and glanced up at the skies...
Still nothing.
Gradually, the skies began brightening...
The sun cast its warm glow accross the skies, brightening it and chasing the moon away.
Logan furrowed his brows thoughtfully.
Daenerys hadnt arrived the previosu night.
He didnt know what to feel. A part of him was filled with expectations and anotehr part of him dreaded betraying Evelyn once more.
"At least I’m relieved she didnt come." Logan exhaled slightly, then returned to practicing.
...
Five days passed in a flash.
It was saturday. The next day, sunday was the time for the entrance examination.
With the accumulation over the past five days, logan was finally at the edge of a breakthrough.
A young man could be seen sitting with his eyes closed as the air around him rippled slightly.
His brows furrowed slightly.
Deep within him cracks began apearing on the surface of his origin core as though it was expanding.
The core continued expanding, the gradual accumulation of origin energy over the past days finally enabling him to increase his strength drastically.
Finally, a shattering sound echoed.
Logan’s core shattered, then began condensing. Each fragment replicated itself and began forming a new origin core.
This was one of the quantitative changes brought about by an increase in origin rank, one’s core would be at least double what it was previously.
Logan furrwoed his brows, concentrating intensely on the process.
Gradually, his origin energy continud surging, his core forming completely.
Snow watched from the side, a curious glint in its eyes as thoguh it was seeing something strange for the first time.
Before long, a smile finally apeared on logan’s face.
[congratulations, master, on the successful breakthrough!]
Astra echoed in logan’s mind.
Logan was pleased and excited about the breakthrough!
’Astra, display my new stats.’ He asked astra, wanting to see how much he had increased.
[For every increase in one’s rank, there is an increase of 20 stat points to each stats, with the exclusion of charm.]
Logan listened to astra’s explanation as the new stats appeared in his line of sight.
[Master: Logan Weaver.]
[Rank: Origin Apprentice.]
[lifespan: 0.3]
Strength: 60
Agility: 57
Stamina: 57
Charm: 36
Endurance: 51
Free Attribute: 0
Origin energy: Awakened.
Origin Paths: Ability Awakener, Summoning
Origin Ability: Space affinity.
System points: 2050.
[System Space: SSS-rank Sword]
Logan furrowed his brows slightly as he noticed something.
"Astra, I thought one’s lifespan incresed with an increase in origin rank?"
[that is right, master. However, that only happens because one’s life spark is increased, in your case your life spark is almost nonexitent, you are currently running on a borrowed lifespark, hence it’s impossible to increase your lifespan with an increase in origin rank.]
Logan sensed the sadness in Astra’s tone and grew thoughtful.
He pondered slightly on his current situation.
Another reason he was eager for a breakthrough was to see if breaking through would fix his situation, but now it seemed that couldnt be the case.
Logan sighed but wasnt too dispointed.
He glanced at the remaining stats that had been increased by 20 and was pleased inwardly.
’With these stats, passing the entrance examination should be a breeze.’ Logan thought internally.
He had to dominate the rankings!!!
There was no need to hide his true strength.
Tomorrow after the reveal of his sss-rank origin ability, and going on to win the entrance examination, he felt it would be enough to get him the attention of the principal.
He had to obtain as much support as he could to increase his strength and resurrect evelyn!
Logan stood up, and his body cracked like fireworks were exploding outwards.
He stretched, feeling the drastic increase to his strength.
He glanced at the mirror in his room.
He had grown taller, his muscles even more visible.
His body now seemed perfectly sculpted as though they had been sculpted by the gods.
His jawline was sharp and defined, giving his face a refined, almost aristocratic edge. His light white hair, slightly tousled from training, framed his features with an ethereal glow under the morning light.
Below them, a pair of deep dark blue eyes shone with quiet intensity—eyes that seemed to hold both the vastness of space and an unyielding resolve.
Logan stared at his reflection for a moment, clenching and unclenching his fist. The breakthrough had not only strengthened his body but refined it further. He looked... different. More commanding.
’Good,’ he thought. ’The stronger I appear, the better.’
He turned away from the mirror, his newly enhanced physique moving with natural grace. Tomorrow’s entrance examination awaited, and he had no intention of holding back.
