Chapter 324 - Fire and Water

A couple of weeks ago inside the game.

When Sonya left the village that night, she didn't immediately leave Everwinter and instead flew towards the direction of Wildlands, and stopped when she reached Snowy Forest that borders the Wildlands and the outer ring of Everwinter where the village is located.

Sonya landed on a mountain top and transformed back to her human form as she arrived before a wide cave on top of the mountain that's surrounded by snow and lush vegetation.

And on the mouth of the cave was a man with a short beard who hurriedly ran towards her with a face full of delight.

"My queen, it's been a long time since you came for a visit"

Sonia looked at the rough-looking man that looks like a gangster smiling at her and smiled, then she walked past him and made her way towards the cave as the man hurriedly followed after her.

"Ragnar, a group of humans will be coming here soon"

"Humans? Why would they come here, my queen?"

Ragnar has a look of confusion on his face, as he knew how weak humans are except for a few, and even if they are skilled adventures, those Grey Orcs living in the mountain range that acts as a border that divides the Wildlands and the outer ring would certainly slaughter any trespassers, and now hearing that a group of humans would be making their way here, baffled him.

"My queen, are these humans so important that you even bothered to personally come here?"

Ragnar looked at Sonia as he really couldn't understand why she had come all the way here just to tell him that as she could've just sent one of her servants and informed him.

Sonya stopped in her tracks and turned her head towards Ragnar with a grin on her face.

"Of course, one of them is the Sage only disciple and another one is the Night King's inheritor. You don't want me to tell you what will happen if something happens to them in your territory, right?"

Ragnar was quickly frightened as his face started to turn pale, as any of those people mentioned are capable of killing him without even breaking a sweat.

"Relax, you just need to make sure those monster tribes under you don't attack them"

Sonya laughed as she patted Ragnar's shoulders before making her way further inside the cave abode, while Ragnar just stood on his spot with a dumbfounded look on his face as he just watched Sonya walked further away from him.

"My queen, wait for me! I'll prepare some tea for you!"

Ragnar recovered from his daze and quickly rushed inside with an icy trail behind him.

Inside the mountain was a large space fit enough to build a house with a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a dining room.

And in the kitchen that's decorated like how a human's kitchen looks like.

Sonya calmly sat on a stone chair that is connected to the ground as she drank her tea while waiting for Ragnar who had quickly left after serving her a cup of tea.

Outside the cave, Ragnar is talking to a group of monsters that consist of werewolves, werebears, golems, a flying serpent, a huge eagle, a forest troll, and many more as there are at least twenty different kinds of monsters standing obediently before Ragnar as they listened to what he is talking about.

"Do you guys understand? Don't attack them, okay?"

"But my lord, what if they attack us first?"

"Then fight back with the intent to kill, just make sure to not attack them first, do you bastards understand?"

Ragnar looked at the leaders of every monster tribe living in the Snowy Forest with a bearing of a leader.

Most of the monster that lives in the Snowy Forest doesn't have the ability to protect themselves in the Wildlands where the large tribes that live there are constantly at war for lands and resources, so they instead fled towards the Snowy Forest and under the protection of the Lord of Forest, Ragnar.

He's one of the rarest dragons that live in existence, an Ice Dragon.

In fact, he's probably the only Ice Dragon in existence.

"We understand lord"

"Good"

Ragnar then turned around and made his way inside his abode, while the monsters looked at each other, some with hostility along with a competitive gaze.

After all, not every monster that lives in the forest lives peacefully, they also fight against each other for the benefit of their tribes just as long as it doesn't descend into a tribal war.

"Done?"

"Yes, my queen, but why are the humans heading to the Wildlands? There haven't been any human sightings in almost a century in this land, and if they head to the Wildlands, then...they might all die"

Sonya stood up as Ragnar quickly stood straight in attention thinking that she might have further orders for him.

"Because this a test for them, being those people's disciple, they shouldn't be weak, right? After all, the continent is not so peaceful right now"

"Yes, you're right"

Sonya then smiled as she started laughing, and Ragnar looked at her, perplexed.

"But their true purpose is heading towards Mount Rasborg, you'll know why when you see them..soon"

Then Sonya left the cave and transformed into a one hundred meters long dragon with glistening pale white scales, and flew off towards the direction of the mainland.

Present.

Ragnar is standing at the edge of a cliff as he looked at the group of humans walking along the dense forest with wary steps.

"So that's what she meant, and it's surprising though, they actually got past through the blockade of one of the Grey Orc tribes. They might be one of the weaker tribes, but even the Sharval Kingdom in the mainland would certainly have troubles facing them, but they are certainly a sneaky and troublesome group of humans"

Ragnar quickly figured out what Sonya told him before she left because he quickly felt something familiar on them, especially towards the man who took out an egg from out of nowhere.

'But...being the Sage disciple, shouldn't he have just ask Millie to hatch the egg? After all, it's just a Fire Drake's egg, any female dragon could hatch...wait...is that?'

'No way!'

Ragnar couldn't believe it, because he can feel two different, potent elements coming from the egg that the man is holding in his hands.

"An offspring of fire and water? That's impossible! I've seen dragons and drakes from two different elements, but two from opposing elements? That's amazing, so that's why they're heading to Mount Rasborg, only the largest and hottest volcano in the continent would be able to hatch it"

"Of course, they can also head to the Ice Caps where the Water Dragons live, but that's just wishful thinking as that place can't be reached by any ship"

Ragnar's curiosity became peaked as he wondered how a creature from two opposing elements would turn out, but it would undoubtedly become a fantastic creature.

"But that egg would certainly invite trouble though, I don't know how he did it, but he better make sure he doesn't take that egg out when they reached the Wildlands, or the Fire Dragons would certainly sense the egg and destroy it, those racist bastards"

Ragnar shook his head as he jumped down from the cliff and landed on top of a tree and started jumping from tree to tree, lurking around the group of unsuspecting humans.
