Chapter 389 - Hot Right Now

At the dining table.

Michael and Amanda are having a chat while having their lunch.

Amanda chewed on her food and swallowed before saying, "You guys are having an MT this early in the semester? We didn't have MT that fast back in the day.

"I know, right? And I just got back from my recent trip and now, I'm leaving again for another trip next week" Michael answered with a laugh.

"Anyway, where will your MT be held?" asked Amanda as she took a mouthful of food.

.

Michael looked at her and said, "An island off the coast. An offgrid island that only has the basic necessities, but it has internet connection thanks to it being just a couple of miles away, North from Mine Tech's Island HQ and..."

Hearing Michael's description of the island, Amanda's eyes brightened up and she said, "I know that place! It's called Coral Island because of the surrounding beautiful reefs around the island"

"It's called Coral Island? Is that place good? It sounds like you've been there before" Michael said seeing his girlfriend's reaction at the mention of the island's name.

Amanda gave him a thumbs up and said with excitement, "Of course! It has white sandy beach and along with the amazing coral reef around it that houses a variety of fish species makes it a popular destination!"

Unlike Amanda, Michael was a little doubtful with what she said, "A popular tourist destination? How come I've never heard of it then?"

Amanda shook her finger before Michael and said with a playful smile on her face, "I'm not kidding, It is a tourist destination, but the place is only known to those experienced backpackers, daredevils, or just curious individuals, and even if the public knows about it, no one would dare to go unless they're in a large group"

Hearing her, Michael just rolled his eyes with a laugh saying, "Just get to the point babe"

"Well, that place is indeed beautiful but also very dangerous because of the mini jungle behind the buildings that were built there" said Amanda with a chuckle.

Michael snorted and said, "Like how dangerous?"

"Well, first off, there's komodo dragons living on the island, there's also sharks, saltwater crocodiles and obviously snakes. There's also boars there, which is pretty surprising to say the least" replied Amanda as she stood up from her seat with her plate in her hands and placed it on the sink.

"Komodos? Some live on the island?" Michael said, as he also stood up and handed the dishes to Amanda while a little skeptical with Amanda's mentions of the animals living on the island.

"Yeah! I went there with Jenny and a couple of friends and we saw a couple of them" answered Amanda while doing the dishes.

Micheal then tilted his head to the side as he just shrugged his shoulders and left the kitchen and made his way over to their living room before crashing on the sofa and he opened the TV before he started browsing the Auction Site on his phone.

Michael started auctioning off the items he had gotten on his journey, and by doing so, the items he had put into listing quickly attracted the attention of many players around the world.

Pearl Nation, at one of their local Guild Headquarters.

Chronos Guild.

A young man was scrolling through a particular site when a sudden notification quickly grabbed his attention, and when he saw what it was about, he quickly called out to someone.

"Bise Presidente! Look at this! That player that you told me to look out for listed a lot of items on the auction site again!"

Following that, a long haired guy with tattoos all over his body came over beside him and bent down as he looked at the computer screen.

"Whoa, this guy is really sick! I wonder where he's getting these items from?" the young man couldn't help but excitedly ask the moment the guy called Bise came over to his side.

The guy called Bise Presidente or Vice President didn't look at him and instead focused his attention on the screen as he continued to scroll down through the items with the help of the mouse while saying, "Don't sound so surprised now, Martin. This is why I wanted you to look out for any items related to this guy. You might not know this, but this person called Shadow is the leader of the Guild called Revenants"

Hearing the latter's words, Martin's eyes couldn't help but light up and said, "Oh my days! Revenants? Are you talking about that mysterious guild that acts like they are some kind of a hitman organization inside the game!?"

Bise rolled his eyes with a snort saying, "What do you mean some kind of? All of these bastards are Assassins wh, why do you think they are so hard to catch even when they have made a lot of guilds as enemies?"

After their short talk, Bise started placing bids on the items that Michael had listed on the website.

And the same scene is happening at a lot of Guild Headquarters around the world.

Blackskull Headquarters.

"Why are we even buying items from him sir? Aren't Shadow in our most wanted list?"

"What do you know? Apart from large guilds, he's one of the capable people who are able to get a lot of rare and powerful items. Just imagine his face when we use the items he had sold to us. It would certainly be entertaining to see his face when he dies from the items he once owned!"

"That's good thinking, team leader!"

The team leader rolled his eyes and said, "This is why I'm the team leader and you're not!"

Flame Rose Guild's Studio.

"Michael should be selling his items to us instead of auctioning it off! It would be a disaster if it landed on the hands of his enemies!" Dana said while furiously bidding on items on the website along with her fellow guild members inside the studio.

"Didn't we try telling him before? That dude doesn't care. In fact, those people are his walking ATMs! He'd just kill them if they really try to hunt him down, and all of their items they had bought from him would just return to its rightful owner if they die" said their cousin, Maverick, with a laugh as he too joined the bidding war.

Surprisingly, Dyland and his sister, Athena are also present in the studio.

"Mav's right, I talked to him about this matter before, but dude doesn't care at all. In fact, even if they wanted to hunt him down, they wouldn't be able to. You guys should know first hand how dangerous the place he is at right now. It just shows how amazing he is that he could survive on his own until now," said Dylan with a laugh.

"Don't forget Aron too, that little cutie's power is too abnormal!" Athena chimed in.

"Right, how could we forget that little guy!? It's magic spells are comparable to those Wizards at the top of the rankings!" Dana's eyes lit up as she talked excitedly about Michael's pet companion like it was hers.

And the others just rolled their eyes at her chatter about Michael.

The items that Michael had auctioned off caused a bidding war on the website that even news stations caught wind of it and reported about it later in the day.

It wasn't the first time Michael listed a lot of items, but this batch was clearly different from the previous ones because their quality is the best that even the stats of a Rare item is better than some Epic rank items in the market, which made a lot of guilds fight over them!

Ring~! Ring~! Ring~!

Looking at the surge of notifications on his phone, Michael couldn't help but laugh:

"Wow, these people are nuts! Just imagine if I actually listed those couple of Epic items I had gathered along"

"F*cking ballers!"

Hearing the commotion in the living room, Amanda called out from the kitchen saying, "What? What's happening that makes you sound so happy?"

Michael laughed and yelled back, "It's because of items that I just listed, they're hot right now babe! I'm going to be raking a lot of greens after auction ends"

Suddenly thinking of something, Amanda's face brightened up and said, "Are they items you got in the Wildlands!?"

"Yeah, why!?"

"Don't sell the items useful to me, got it!?"

"I know~!"
