From the Metropolis to the Strongest in the Cosmos
Chapter 157: Earth’s Crisis Resolved
After extending the invitation to Li Yang, Candy turned his attention to the rest of Earth.
"Li Yang, your planet has a rather large number of oceanic mutated beasts," Candy instructed. "Beia, Lu Tower... go and deal with them. However, you only need to eliminate a portion of them. Leaving the rest behind to temper the people of Earth will be for the best. Only through trials can one achieve faster development."
Some life-bearing planets would deliberately cultivate dangerous creatures to train their younger generations.
A life of comfort and ease does not produce many powerful individuals.
"Yes, Lord Candy."
Beia and the others nodded.
They headed straight for the various continents. With a wave of her right hand, Beia instantly conjured streams of fire that spread out in all directions, with her at the epicenter.
The buildings and other structures remained completely unaffected by the flames; only the oceanic mutated beasts shrieked in agony.
Wherever the flames passed, the powerful King Level oceanic mutated beasts on land died one after another, their bodies turning to ash, utterly powerless to resist.
In less than twenty seconds, a vast area was completely cleared.
All the oceanic mutated beasts on land had been annihilated, with only those still in the ocean remaining.
"So powerful! Is this the true strength of these aliens?"
"Wiping out all the oceanic mutated beasts on land with a wave of her hand... These beings must be true Deities."
"Our Earth had no contact with the Cosmos before, so our development has been slow. Our strongest are only at the Law Realm. But out in the Cosmos, there’s the Longevity Realm, Star Lords, and more."
"In the future, Earth will definitely have experts of that level too!"
Everyone on Earth who witnessed the aliens’ power was utterly stunned.
The oceanic mutated beasts that had threatened the entire planet were now as weak as ants, possessing no power to resist. They were swept away as easily as trash.
Beyond their shock, they were even more grateful to Li Yang.
If it weren’t for Li Yang, Earth would never have earned the respect of these powerful aliens; it might even have been directly managed and ruled by them.
"Alright, Li Yang. From now on, Lu Tower and the others will be in charge of matters on Earth. I’ll be heading back now."
As a Star Lord, he was only here to conduct an inspection. Once it was over and he had submitted his report, he would depart immediately, with no intention of wasting any time on Earth.
Inviting Li Yang had been a casual gesture. The Li Yang of today had potential, but that was all.
After speaking, Candy’s figure flickered and instantly reappeared beside the aircraft, the movement too fast for the eye to follow.
Li Yang watched in silence, his heart filled with yearning.
’A Star Lord...’
’A being with a lifespan of one hundred thousand years. When will I ever reach that realm?’
Just then, Soul Ink seemed to sense Li Yang’s envy and said in a calm voice, "Li Yang, you have no reason to be envious. With your Thunder Star Beast clone, reaching the World Realm will be a breeze, to say nothing of becoming a Star Lord."
Hearing this, Li Yang couldn’t help but ask, "Soul Ink, at my current cultivation speed, how long will it take for me to become a Star Lord?"
Soul Ink thought for a moment before replying, "You’ve just broken through to the Law Realm. It will take you about three to ten years to reach the Longevity Realm, and fifty years to become a Star Lord."
"Fifty years?"
Li Yang was taken aback. "That long?"
"Li Yang, you need to understand that fifty years is an incredibly short time for any Cultivator. Being able to break through to the Star Lord Realm in just fifty years is a remarkably short period."
Soul Ink said, exasperated, "Stop looking at things from an Earthling’s perspective. Those in the Longevity Realm have a lifespan of ten thousand years. To be able to break through after a mere fifty years... you should be waking up from your dreams laughing."
The vast majority of Earthlings don’t live past one hundred. Even King Level Cultivators live for a little over a hundred years at most.
Therefore, Li Yang likely felt that fifty years was a very long time.
But in Soul Ink’s eyes, such a duration was trivial. For some powerful experts, fifty years would pass in the blink of an eye during a single session of secluded cultivation.
Li Yang nodded and took a deep breath.
’By the time I become a Star Lord, Earth will surely be completely different, won’t it?’
Behind Candy, Baluka and the others followed closely.
Baluka glanced at Li Yang, a deep-seated resentment visible in his eyes.
Earth had been almost his, but now he was forbidden from interfering in its affairs and could only follow Candy away.
’How the hell did that useless Jin Mola handle things? Decades, and he still couldn’t get a clear picture of the situation on Earth? What an absolute waste!’
Baluka seethed with uncontrollable rage as he thought of Jin Mola.
’Even if Li Yang was going to break through, had they discovered this genius sooner, they could have eliminated him in time!’
’Just an Early Law Realm practitioner. As weak as an ant in his eyes.’
’But it was precisely because of this ant that he would not be getting those Purple Brilliance Crystal Stone mine veins.’
Though his heart was filled with resentment, he ultimately followed Candy into the aircraft.
HUMMM...
The surrounding space trembled, and the aircraft vanished without a trace, as if it had merged with the void itself.
After Candy and his group left, five people remained.
One was Beia. The other was a middle-aged man named Lu Tower, who had a thick, lizard-like tail, blue skin, and a height and facial structure similar to an Earthling’s. With his strength at the Peak of Longevity Realm, he was one of the two individuals Candy had left behind to assist Earth’s development.
The other three, all at the Peak of Law Realm, were their assistants.
"Li Yang, from now on, Earth is free to develop as it sees fit. If you need help with anything, you can ask me directly." Beia remained silent, but Lu Tower turned to Li Yang with a smile.
Li Yang had just been personally invited by Candy to join the Milky Way Galaxy’s branch of the Human Race Saint Hall, so of course Lu Tower dared not underestimate him.
With Li Yang’s Talent, it wouldn’t be difficult for him to reach Lu Tower’s level in the future.
Lu Tower’s role was to assist Earth’s development, which meant he couldn’t directly interfere in its affairs. However, if Earth encountered any difficulties or needed something, they could go to him directly.
"Then we’ll have to trouble you, Lord Lu Tower," Li Yang said directly.
He and Shen Xuan exchanged a glance before Li Yang spoke up. "Lord Lu Tower, there are ore deposits on several planets near Earth. We’d like to sell them in exchange for resources to develop our planet."
"Oh? Ore deposits?"
Hearing this, Lu Tower nodded. "We’ll need to go and verify them, and record the data. If you want to sell, I can help you send this data out and contact those within the Milky Way Galaxy who specialize in the mining business. We can get them to come and cooperate on the excavation."
His role was only to assist; the Human Race Saint Hall would not get involved in resource extraction itself. Therefore, Earth would need to find other partners.
Hearing this, both Li Yang and Shen Xuan were delighted. "Thank you, Lord Lu Tower," they said.
"Haha, it’s a small matter," Lu Tower replied with a smile.
They immediately boarded a spaceship and set off for Mars.
