Chapter 167: Chapter 167: Rapid Improvement

Of course, the opponent was a virtual person from the martial arts hall. Even on Easy Mode, their combat experience was quite good. They were by no means a complete rookie with zero fighting skills.

So, it was only natural that Li Yang was no match for it.

"Again!"

Taking a deep breath, a glint of battlelust flashed in Li Yang’s eyes as he charged forward once more!

His lack of combat experience was his greatest weakness! But he could rapidly overcome that weakness in this martial arts hall!

For three hours, Li Yang fought relentlessly in the combat space, only to be killed by the virtual person time and time again.

At first, he would die within three minutes.

By the end of the three hours, it took the virtual person a full ten minutes to kill him.

In just a short time, his combat experience had grown by leaps and bounds!

"Haha, this combat space in the Primordial Martial Arts Hall is amazing."

Despite being killed once more, Li Yang showed no signs of frustration. Instead, his face was filled with excitement.

He had gained more combat experience in these three short hours than in the past several months combined!

Checking the time, Li Yang decided to log out for a while to process what he’d learned over the past three hours.

As his consciousness returned to his body, Soul Ink’s voice immediately rang in his mind. "So, how was it, Li Yang? Did you get your butt kicked over and over in that combat space?"

Li Yang didn’t want to talk about it and immediately changed the subject. "Soul Ink, has anyone ever cleared Hell Mode in the combat space?"

’That highest difficulty, Hell Mode, must be incredibly hard to beat.’

"Of course. The Cosmos is filled with countless life forms; there are bound to be combat geniuses!"

Soul Ink said calmly, "Those geniuses possess heaven-defying comprehension of laws and godlike combat skills. Over the eons, there have been innumerable people like that."

’Innumerable...’

Li Yang felt a pang of helplessness. He was still struggling with Easy Mode.

"Don’t be discouraged, Li Yang. Your Earth is so underdeveloped, and you’ve been cultivating for such a short time. If you keep training, your abilities will keep improving. One day you’ll clear Hell Mode too, haha..."

At the end, Soul Ink couldn’t help but burst out laughing, clearly amused that Li Yang couldn’t even beat Easy Mode.

Ignoring Soul Ink, Li Yang processed his combat experience, then re-entered the Primordial Martial Arts Hall in the Virtual World!

"Time to fight!"

Earth wasn’t safe. For now, it was developing under the assistance of a branch of the Human Race Saint Hall, so no one else dared to make a move against it.

However, this assistance had a time limit.

Otherwise, was the Human Race Saint Hall supposed to aid in the development of all the hundreds of thousands of inhabited planets in the Milky Way Galaxy? The very idea was absurd.

To say nothing of the countless galaxies like the Milky Way within the territory of the Human Race.

The period of assistance for Earth’s development was twenty years—long enough to gauge a planet’s general trajectory.

Therefore, Earth had to increase its strength within these twenty years!

Otherwise, once the Human Race Saint Hall departed, Earth’s weakness would mean it would be at the mercy of other inhabited planets.

Now that he had a way to rapidly improve his own strength, Li Yang was determined to seize it.

...

For the next ten days, as they traveled to the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, Li Yang fought frantically inside the Virtual World’s martial arts hall, and his combat experience skyrocketed.

BANG!

In the combat space, Li Yang’s figure darted about as he battled the virtual person in a life-or-death struggle. His own aura had diminished significantly, but so had his opponent’s.

At one point, Li Yang suddenly exploded with power, his right hand clenched into a fist that he abruptly shot forward.

His fist slammed viciously into the virtual person’s chest, the terrifying force completely shattering its heart.

At the same moment, the virtual person’s right leg kicked him in the chest.

His own aura plummeted, leaving only a sliver, but the virtual person’s aura vanished entirely.

"Haha, after ten days, I finally managed to kill the virtual person on Easy Mode."

A wide smile spread across Li Yang’s face.

To go from being killed by the virtual person in under three minutes when he first started to now successfully killing it in return—it was a testament to how much he had progressed in just ten days!

’Since cultivating the Soul Chapter, my senses have become incredibly sharp. During a fight, I can quickly identify and correct any of my own shortcomings. This must all be the effect of the Soul Chapter Cultivation Technique!’

After he broke through to the Law Realm, the Soul Chapter Cultivation Technique had emerged from the mysterious small sword. He had been practicing it in his spare time over the past few days.

As he cultivated, Li Yang noticed his rate of improvement accelerating, especially in his combat techniques—or, one could say, his aptitude for learning.

Once he identified a weakness, he could correct it in a remarkably short time.

That was why he’d managed to clear Easy Mode in just ten short days.

"Li Yang."

As he was lost in thought, a voice suddenly called out.

Li Yang hurriedly logged out of the Virtual World.

He opened the door to his rest chamber and found Lu Tower standing outside.

"Li Yang, we’ve arrived at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. Our ship will be landing within the Saint Hall’s domain."

They would be arriving directly at the Milky Way Galaxy branch of the Human Race Saint Hall.

Li Yang nodded and waited.

Finally, the vessel emerged from the strange dimension of space and reappeared in a new location.

Before them stood an immense, black palace. Its surface was covered in strange, complex-looking mystic runes.

Stowing the vessel, Lu Tower said with a smile, "Li Yang, you are now a member of our Milky Way Galaxy branch of the Human Race Saint Hall. Let me take you to get registered."

Li Yang followed Lu Tower and completed the registration process, after which he received an Identity Token. This Token signified his status as a member of the Milky Way Galaxy’s Human Race Saint Hall.

"Li Yang, you are now a member of our Milky Way Galaxy branch of the Human Race Saint Hall. Your strength is still too low, so we won’t be making any demands of you. You will be free to develop on your own."

In reality, every faction recruited geniuses. Reaching the Law Realm at eighteen certainly made Li Yang a genius, but there were plenty of others on his level—and even many who were far more monstrous!

Previously, Candy had simply extended a direct invitation to Li Yang. Here at the Milky Way Galaxy branch of the Human Race Saint Hall, he wasn’t considered top-tier, so it was impossible for them to provide him with a large amount of resources directly.

His Law Realm strength was too low, so they couldn’t require him to do anything either.

"However, our Saint Hall has many affiliated organizations in the Milky Way Galaxy, the largest of which is the Galaxy Auction House. If you want to trade or purchase any resources, you can go directly there. You’ll have a slight advantage when trading, and you’ll also enjoy a ten-percent discount on all purchases."

"A ten-percent discount?"

Li Yang’s eyes lit up when he heard Lu Tower’s words.

’The largest auction house in the Milky Way Galaxy is actually managed by the Human Race Saint Hall’s branch? And as one of the geniuses they’re cultivating, I get a discount there?’

This was obviously excellent news for him.
