Game Invasion: 100x Evolution, From Weak to God
Chapter 91: Chrono Leap
If Caelum wanted to dismantle Wheel of Reversal, then he had to return to the future a thousand years later.
Trying to alter the future from the distant past was pointless.
For example, killing the ancestors of whoever would eventually create Wheel of Reversal in the future.
That would solve nothing.
Doing so would create a paradox.
If Wheel of Reversal were never created in the future, then how had Caelum been sent back a thousand years in the first place?
The logic simply collapsed.
Looking at it another way, the fact that Caelum had already been sent to the past by Wheel of Reversal was an unchangeable truth.
Which meant that no matter what he did in the world of a thousand years ago, Wheel of Reversal would inevitably still come into existence.
Only then did the logic remain consistent.
In other words, the future Caelum had seen and experienced was already a future that had been altered.
Everything he had done in the past had already become part of history.
The Jujutsu World did not possess parallel timelines.
Time here was a single straight line moving endlessly forward.
Only under rules like that could the world remain stable.
In short, if Caelum wanted to dismantle Wheel of Reversal, he needed to return to the future before events had fully solidified into history.
Only there could new possibilities still be created.
After piecing everything together, Caelum activated his technique.
"Origin Reversion Technique: Chrono Leap!"
Buzz.
In an instant, Caelum vanished from the world a thousand years in the past.
The scenery and people around him faded away with the flow of time as entire eras flashed by at incredible speed.
After a long while, the current of time finally stabilized again.
Caelum stepped out from Chrono Leap.
A passenger jet roared overhead, its engines rumbling through the sky.
A smile spread across his face.
He took a deep breath and sighed happily.
"A technological world really is better."
Skyscrapers.
Traffic.
The modern cityscape felt deeply nostalgic to him.
However, this was not the same point in time as when he had first entered the Jujutsu World.
This was ten years later.
The future had continued advancing even while Caelum remained in the past.
Since he had spent ten years there, the future naturally moved forward by the same amount.
Ten years later, Cursecraft Academy seemed to have recovered its strength.
Still, Caelum had no intention of returning.
There was no point.
At his current level of power, nobody could stop him.
Nobody could scheme against him either.
There was no longer any reason to hide or remain cautious. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Dismantling Wheel of Reversal would not be easy.
Long ago, a genius Sorcerer once hailed as the strongest had created the technique using her own soul and bloodline.
A technique of this magnitude naturally required an extraordinary process.
But that was not the important part.
The important part was that she had split her soul and bloodline into five pieces.
Then, through some unknown method, ensured those five fragments continued to be inherited across generations in a stable cycle.
That was the greatest secret of the Sorcerer world.
Before Caelum could dismantle Wheel of Reversal, he first needed to reunite those five fragments and revive the original Sorcerer herself.
Only then could he remove the technique from her.
It sounded complicated.
And it absolutely was.
If it were simple, it would never have become the ultimate secret hidden within the Jujutsu World.
An ordinary person likely never would have uncovered the truth.
Caelum was not in a hurry.
He had plenty of time.
Boom!
Thunder exploded across the sky.
Rain poured down in torrents.
A violent storm drenched the world beneath darkened clouds.
Deep within a remote forest on the outskirts of the city, hurried footsteps crashed through the rain.
"Hah... hah..."
A young girl with delicate features and determined eyes fled desperately at full speed.
Her breathing was ragged.
Her pale face looked especially fragile beneath the rain.
"She’s ahead!"
"Hurry!"
Voices echoed from behind her.
Despair filled the girl’s heart.
She had no idea why she had ended up in this situation.
Nor did she understand why these people were chasing her.
She was only an ordinary Sorcerer from the countryside.
She had come to Blackreach hoping for a better future, only to somehow become entangled in something far beyond her understanding.
"My luck seriously sucks..."
she muttered bitterly.
Bang!
Distracted for just a moment, she collided with something and fell hard onto the ground.
Looking up, she froze.
Someone was standing directly in front of her.
The girl’s expression changed instantly.
She tried to stand and run, only to realize her body would not move.
She was completely frozen.
Under her trembling gaze, Caelum crouched down and gently opened her left eye.
Her iris was a calm sky blue, pure and tranquil.
Within it existed an incredibly unique technique formed from the bloodline and soul inherited from a thousand years ago.
Caelum’s expression brightened as though he had reunited with an old friend.
"There she is!"
Several Sorcerers rushed in from behind.
The moment they saw the girl, relief crossed their faces.
Then they noticed Caelum standing before her.
Their expressions sharpened immediately.
"Who are y..."
Caelum casually waved a hand.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
All of them died instantly.
Blood mixed with rainwater as it flowed to the girl’s feet, staining the sleeves of her white clothes crimson.
Suddenly, she realized she could move again.
In the freezing rain soaked night, she heard Caelum speak for the first time.
The fear and panic inside her heart instantly settled.
"What is your name?"
"Seratra."
"Do you want to live?"
"Yes!"
The answer escaped her lips without hesitation.
Nobody wanted to die.
Caelum said nothing more and turned away.
The girl hurriedly stood and followed after him.
The next day.
Cursecraft Academy.
Inside the conference room, the academy leadership had gathered together.
Most of them were elderly men with white hair and frail appearances, as though they could collapse into their graves at any moment.
At the same time, these elders were all highly respected figures from the great Sorcerer families.
Their status and seniority within the Sorcerer world were terrifyingly high.
This was likely one of the clearest reasons so many Sorcerers viewed the Sorcerer world as rotten to its core.
The upper ranks were entirely controlled by conservative old relics.
The room felt lifeless.
Empty of energy.
The Astra Headmaster sat at the center seat.
He coughed twice, narrow eyes gleaming with the slyness of an old fox.
"The Death Eye has disappeared."
The room fell silent.
Only after a long pause did someone finally speak.
"The Life Eye, the Death Eye, the Curse Hand, the Rite Hand, and the Origin Heart. The other four remain within our respective families and under our control. Only the Death Eye has slipped away."
"Nobody expected the previous Death Eye bearer to die in an accident. We didn’t even have time to perform the extraction ritual. That’s why the Death Eye escaped our control."
"And because of that, it selected a new bearer."
"Risei-sama’s inheritance cannot be lost."
"The Death Eye must be returned to us."
