Chapter 487: Ancient Transcendent Appeared
The guards of Chris, hearing this, quickly attacked the female elf, as she did start first.
Boom! Boom! Boom.
They attacked without hesitation, and it became clear there was no turning back. Kaelyn was also forced to quickly protect her friend, as even though her friend was wrong, she had to protect her people.
She moved.
And the moment she did, everything changed.
Scch— Scchh—
An invisible yet terrifying aura descended, and the expression of everyone watching changed instantly.
The soul-terrifying chill seemed to cover the land, and everyone felt their strength being suppressed.
Whether they were eternal gods or half-step transcendent beings, they were all somewhat suppressed and felt unable to use their strength.
"This."
The guard group of Chris was also in the same situation. They were all at the peak of the eternal god realm and even had two half-step transcendent guardians, but they all were suppressed badly.
"Stop this; it’s meaningless." And as she said that, her eyes turned pure white, and instantly a miles-long radius, along with everyone within the range, froze instantly.
The space seemed to solidify, and even the half-step Transcendents were locked in place, their bodies refusing to respond, struggling just to move a single inch.
Apollo and others who were quite far and didn’t get caught were watching all of this happening. While most of them were shocked by her power, Apollo was more interested in her mysterious power.
The ice that froze even half-step transcendent wasn’t simple. It wasn’t just the power of ice rules. There was something more.
Her mysterious spiritual force was mixed into it, strengthening it, refining it, and giving it a strange, almost living quality. It was as if every ice particle were alive, which was fascinating but equally terrifying.
The other warriors from different races have different expressions; many of them were terrified, while some found this exciting and wanted to face it here.
In that single moment she showed what she was made of and why she is the best. Before, many might have had doubts because they usually didn’t fight, but now they know why they are able to maintain their dominant position for eras.
Everything seemed to settle, control returning to the scene—
when suddenly the sky tore open.
A massive flying ship emerged from the void, descending from above and casting a shadow over everything below.
They were shocked, as first they didn’t notice it until it appeared right above them, and second, the aura of the ship was terrifying and ancient. It was definitely a machine of war and destruction.
This wasn’t over; one after another, dozens of such ships appeared in the sky, covering the sky and instantly making everyone feel difficult to breathe.
All the races, whether they were humans, elves, divine beasts or other races, all changed expression.
Then—
The entire God’s ruins began to tremble.
Before their eyes, the space ahead started to fracture, cracks spreading like a shattered mirror. Bit by bit, a vast, shadowy image of a colossal gate began to form.
It loomed in the sky, ancient and imposing. And in that moment, everyone understood. The time had come.
The gate... leading out of the God Ruins... was finally opening.
While the gate was slowly manifesting from the dozens of ships, slowly a different figure came out. Their aura was calm; they were mortal, but this immediately made everyone’s face fall.
Because they understood. Those were no mortals. They were beings who had surpassed everything present.
True Transcendents.
And now—they had finally descended, truly came out from their deep slumber within the god ruins.
All of the beings that came out have a very weird aura that wouldn’t be noticed first but became apparent after carefully feeling it. It was like they were not within the same world, or they were like errors of the universe that belong here.
Apollo naturally watched his expression become more serious as he felt the power within this ancient warship. Not to mention he felt terrifying auras whose strength he could not be sure of.
But as he watched the transcendent who came out, he noticed something, as it appeared that they seemed to not have fully regained their strength.
He wasn’t sure of it, but usually his instincts were right. This thought made him calm; if they cannot use their full strength, then it’s doable even if he faces supremes.
The group of transcendents were from different races, as it was clear different ships belonged to different factions, but what mattered the most was what they were going to do with the people from the present era.
The current era was weak.
With each passing age, the energy of heaven and earth had diminished. The world itself had grown thinner, less capable of nurturing true powerhouses.
And so, generation after generation, the number of supreme beings had declined.
Now ancient existences had returned.
Even if many of those warships belonged to familiar races—dragons, humans, divine beasts—that meant nothing.
Because between eras, even within the same race... there could exist an unbridgeable gap.
No one knew how these ancient powers would treat those of the present age. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Apollo glanced at the group of transcendents that came out. Among them, he felt the strongest was actually not a dragon, divine beast or any other race but actually was the human race.
His aura was vast and restrained, yet incomparably deep. From his estimation, he was at least at the peak of the third-order transcendent realm—perhaps even reaching the supreme level.
However, it was clear he had only recently awakened. His strength wavered slightly, as if not yet fully stabilised, hovering between the Third Order and the threshold of Supreme.
He seemed strongest on the surface, as his senses cannot fully penetrate the warship and tell how strong people are inside.
The ancient human transcendent quickly came to them. And quickly the leader of the human alliance stepped forward and bowed.
He was the strongest half-step transcendent of the human race. Even facing the ancient transcendent, he remained calm even though he was invisibly pressured by the ancient human transcendent.
