Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence
Chapter 299 - 293: Coal Ball’s New Space-Cleaving Skill
Watching the Earth-shaking Bear Dragon below—trapped, roaring in frustration, yet unable to even touch its opponent—Raylo couldn’t help but feel a little sorry for it.
Coal Ball was clearly using it as a punching bag to test its new Power after its breakthrough.
The battle below continued.
The Earth-shaking Bear Dragon was already covered in wounds, its movements growing more sluggish from blood loss.
But Coal Ball seemed to have grown tired of this game of cat and mouse. It blinked, creating a distance of several dozen meters, and hovered in mid-air, facing the panting behemoth from afar.
It had no intention of using its claws and teeth again.
The little guy intended to test out a more powerful "new skill" it had just mastered.
When the Earth-shaking Bear Dragon saw its opponent stop, it thought its chance had come.
Its eyes turned bloodshot as it unleashed every last bit of its remaining Power. With a world-shaking roar, its massive body charged toward Coal Ball like a rampaging Mammoth Giant Elephant.
Its ferocious, unstoppable momentum seemed ready to grind everything in its path to dust.
However, in the face of this desperate final charge, Coal Ball simply lifted a front paw calmly.
There was no heaven-shaking convergence of Magic Power, no dazzling visual display of Magic.
HUMMM!
A strange, low hum resonated through the air.
In front of Coal Ball, space itself seemed to ripple like the surface of water. Several invisible waves materialized from thin air and shot forward at incredible speed.
It wasn’t wind, nor was it any kind of energy blast.
Wherever the ripples passed, the normally stable and Solid structure of space was torn like fragile paper, creating fleeting, deep-black fissures in the void!
Space Slash!
Raylo’s pupils contracted. Even the Golden Dragon Sun beside him, its molten-gold eyes filled with an unprecedented gravity.
The Earth-shaking Bear Dragon clearly sensed the danger, but it had absolute confidence in its defenses.
An earthen-yellow halo flared to life across its body, and a spectral image of a thick rock wall seemed to materialize over its gray-black Scale Armor.
It charged fearlessly, straight into those seemingly insignificant ripples!
There was no deafening impact.
The spatial ripples, as light as a breeze skimming across water, passed silently through the Earth-shaking Bear Dragon’s enormous body.
The charging Earth-shaking Bear Dragon froze mid-stride. Its immense inertia made it slide forward for several more meters before it came to a complete stop.
Everything fell still.
After the deadly ripples vanished against a distant rock face, leaving behind several bottomless gashes, the body of the once-imperious Earth-shaking Bear Dragon... from head to tail, along several perfectly straight lines, slowly...
...slid apart into several pieces.
The cuts were as smooth as glass. Not a single drop of blood spilled until the severed sections of its body crashed to the ground. Only then did crimson blood erupt like a bursting dam, staining the ice and snow beneath it.
A single, fatal blow.
A dead silence fell over the mountain peak.
Raylo swallowed hard. ’I knew Coal Ball would get stronger, but I never imagined it would be this strong.’
’This isn’t just simple Magic anymore. It’s the most fundamental, most brutal application of the Law of Space.’
’To sever space is to sever all things.’
Its revenge complete, Coal Ball threw back its head and let out a clear, powerful roar that echoed through the mountains.
It shook the non-existent dust from its body, and with a single beat of its wings, transformed into a streak of black light, flying toward Raylo and the others.
It landed lightly on Sun’s broad head and walked straight up to Moonlight. Retracting its terrifying killing intent, it gave two affectionate "awoos" and nuzzled its head against Moonlight. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Immediately, a silver radiance bloomed from Moonlight, enveloping Coal Ball.
In a flash of light, the majestic, cheetah-sized Space Dragon vanished. In its place was a pitch-black cat, yawning lazily.
This black cat, however, was a size larger than before, and its fur was even more sleek and glossy.
Coal Ball turned around, curled the tip of its black tail, and meowed at Raylo. Then it lifted a paw, pointing toward a half-hidden, snow-covered cave on the cliff face below.
Raylo understood instantly.
"Sun, let’s go down."
The Golden Dragon let out a low rumble in agreement, its massive body slowly descending.
The wind kicked up the ground snow, creating a miniature blizzard. When the flurry subsided, the hundred-meter-long Golden Dragon had landed steadily beside the corpse of the Earth-shaking Bear Dragon.
Up close, the sight of the Giant Beast’s death was even more stunning.
Several mirror-smooth surfaces perfectly sectioned its massive body, the texture of the flesh and muscle at each cut clearly visible.
Looking at the scene, Raylo once again felt the absurdly terrifying power of Space Magic.
"Coal Ball, collect it."
Raylo gave the order.
This Earth-shaking Bear Dragon was a treasure trove. Its Scale Armor, bones, flesh, and even its Magic Core were all top-tier Magic Materials. It would be a true waste to leave them.
The black cat perched on Sun’s head leaped down gracefully and padded over to the corpse.
It tilted its head at the mountain of severed pieces, then opened its mouth.
There was no sound, nor any flash of light.
A pitch-black vortex appeared, generating an invisible suction.
The corpse segments, weighing several tons in total, along with all the blood that had gushed out and stained the snow, were pulled in as if by an invisible giant’s hand and completely swallowed by the vortex.
In just a few moments, all that remained on the spot was a blood-soaked depression in the snow, without even a hint of the smell of gore.
"Alright, let’s go take a look inside."
Raylo patted Sun.
Sun let out a low growl.
It glanced at the cave entrance, which was minuscule to it. The meaning was clear.
’I can’t get in.’
Before Raylo could speak, Moonlight stood up.
It paced in front of Sun.
"Awoo!"
Moonlight cried out, lifting a front paw. A soft globe of silver radiance lit up in its palm, as if it were holding a miniature moon.
The light drifted gently forward, completely enveloping Sun’s hundred-meter-long body.
Radiance flowed and runes flickered within the light.
Enveloped in the silver light, the Golden Dragon’s enormous body began to shrink at a rate visible to the naked eye. As it contracted, its tough golden Dragon Scales made a pleasant, metallic scraping sound.
A moment later, the light faded.
The sky-blotting Golden Dragon was gone. In its place stood a "mini" Golden Dragon, about eight meters long, covered in brilliant golden scales, its form still agile and majestic.
Sun swished its tail and stretched its body. This wasn’t the first time it had been transformed by Moonlight’s Magic, so it felt no discomfort.
At this size, it could enter the cave with room to spare.
Moonlight looked at its masterpiece with satisfaction, then took the lead and walked into the cave.
Coal Ball followed close behind, looking rather impatient.
