Chapter 365: Chapter 334: Moonlight’s Predicament and the Giant Dragon Realm Hunting Plan

But he knew all too well that a battle of that magnitude was like two ancient behemoths locked in combat. With his current strength, he wasn’t qualified to meddle in a war between two Catastrophe Level powerhouses.

One wrong move, and the entire Black Stone Territory could be crushed to dust.

Greed was the original sin.

"There’s no need to raise an army over this."

Raylo made his decision.

"This undead incident is just a ripple from the radiation of their power. It won’t amount to much. Have Alex take some men to deal with it. Tell the villagers in the border settlements to be on high alert and to cremate all corpses. Reassure them, and this will all blow over soon."

"Yes, my lord."

Ed immediately accepted the order.

’The Witch Demon King and the Vampire Prince...’

’The storm stirred up by these two Catastrophe Level beings was now just a small ripple washing over his territory.’

’But who could guarantee that this storm wouldn’t grow stronger and eventually sweep everyone into it?’

「One month later.」

Just as Raylo had predicted, the undead disturbance on the Western Border didn’t cause any major waves.

Alex led a team, worked with the local patrols to cleanse a few graveyards where the dead had begun to stir again, and reinforced the rule that all corpses must be cremated. After that, everything returned to peace.

The war between the two Catastrophe Level monarchs seemed like a distant storm in another world. Apart from the few wisps of power that had initially escaped, it had no further impact on Black Stone Territory.

Life in the territory was stable and prosperous. The only thing causing Raylo any stress was his impending marriage.

Marquis Orlando had already sent a letter stating that he would personally escort his daughter, Miss Avril, to Black Stone Territory.

Although the Marquis had repeatedly assured him that he would guarantee their safety along the way, Raylo still dispatched Ed with a Knight squadron from the Thunder Dragon Knight Order and one hundred Pegasus Knights to receive them at Baisha Port.

This was both a gesture of respect for his fiancée and a way to display Black Stone Territory’s power and sincerity to the Orland Family—and indeed, to the entire Kingdom’s nobility.

Ed’s contingent had already been gone for three days. Based on the itinerary, they would arrive at Black Stone Castle in one month, escorting the bride.

The time left for Raylo was, conveniently, exactly one month.

Inside the council hall, Raylo stood alone before a massive sand table.

Sunlight filtered through the stained-glass windows, casting mottled patterns of light and shadow across his body.

"Awooo..."

A listless cry came from the side of the nearby fireplace. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

"Hungry again?"

Raylo walked over with a sense of resignation.

Moonlight lazily lifted an eyelid in response.

Raylo crouched down and rubbed Moonlight’s head.

He knew what the problem was.

Moonlight had recently consumed a large amount of the improved Dragon Blood Grass Growth Potion created by Master Barnaby. With its body growing so rapidly, it was in desperate need of High Tier Magical Beast meat to replenish the energy required for its development.

Ordinary Magical Beast meat could no longer satisfy their energy requirements, much like forcing a strong man to live on nothing but porridge—he’d never be able to stave off the hunger.

This was a problem that Raylo urgently needed to solve.

Raylo stood up. He already had a target and a solution in mind.

’The Giant Dragon Realm.’

He recalled the creatures he had encountered before in the Giant Dragon Realm.

’The Wind God Winged Dragon.’

They weren’t pure-blooded Giant Dragons but a powerful Sub-Dragon Species of Flying Magical Beast. However, they were enormous, possessed exceptional flight capabilities, and had a natural talent for Wind Magic.

Most importantly, their power was generally around Tier Five. They possessed a valuable Wind Magic Core, and the energy contained in their flesh and blood would be enough to keep Moonlight satisfied for a long time.

Furthermore, Wind God Winged Dragons were typically solitary, making them perfect hunting targets.

A bold plan began to take shape in Raylo’s mind.

「Three days later.」

「The Giant Dragon Realm.」

Two suns hung in the sky, casting down a scorching, brilliant light.

The air was thick with dense Magic Power and a primitive, ancient aura. Every breath felt like inhaling tangible Power.

Near the entrance of the Space Stone Wall, ripple-like distortions in the air slowly subsided.

Raylo’s figure was the first to step through.

Following closely behind him, Sun, the five-meter-long miniature Golden Dragon, emerged from the spatial tear.

As Moonlight had grown, the Transformation Technique had evidently become much more powerful.

The dragon’s body stretched, returning to its hundred-meter form.

Under the suns, Sun’s golden scales flowed with a molten radiance. Its twin horns were majestic, and its golden, slitted pupils scanned the surroundings.

"The air here smells wonderful. I feel like this is our true home," Sun’s deep voice rumbled.

The ground trembled slightly as the Hill Giant Kado emerged, leading fourteen other Hill Giants.

These Giants, each over ten meters tall, followed silently behind Raylo. Every step they took was heavy and powerful, and they carried enormous Wolf Fang Clubs on their shoulders.

Compared to before, they now understood the meaning of the word "discipline."

They didn’t linger long in this place.

「Two hours later.」

They arrived at a towering mountain peak fifty kilometers from the entrance to the Space Stone Wall. The mountain itself was like a sharp sword stabbing into the sky, treacherous and steep.

Raylo’s party was currently hidden in a vast primeval forest at the foot of the mountain.

The trees here were dozens of meters tall, their immense canopies blotting out the suns and casting mottled shadows on the ground, providing them with perfect cover.

Through a gap in some giant ferns, Raylo observed the distant, cloud-piercing peak.

Kado and his kin, meanwhile, had spread out, half-crouching behind massive trees, blending in with the surrounding rocks and woods.

Time passed in silence.

"SCREEE!"

A high-pitched, piercing shriek, sharp enough to tear eardrums, split the sky.

Raylo’s pupils contracted as a massive black shadow dove down from the clouds at the mountain’s summit.

It had a wingspan of nearly a hundred meters, its huge membranous wings covered in tough skin rather than feathers.

A long neck supported a ferocious head with a sharp, deadly beak.

Its body wasn’t covered in scales, but in a layer of coarse, leather-like skin, grayish-brown in color.

’A Wind God Winged Dragon!’

It circled once in the air, displaying unparalleled flying skill, before diving like a bolt of lightning into the dense forest below. A moment later, it shot back into the sky, clutching a Magical Beast resembling a wild ox in its beak. Blood dripped from the ox, drawing a red line through the air.

Raylo’s gaze was locked onto the Wind God Winged Dragon.

He watched it fly back to a massive cave on a cliff face halfway up the mountain.

Over the course of the morning, Raylo observed four different Wind God Winged Dragons entering and exiting the cliff face.

Some went out to hunt, while others seemed to be merely patrolling their territory.

Without a doubt, this was a Wind God Winged Dragon nest.

And according to the information the system had previously provided, a type of Magic Plant that was highly beneficial to the Dragon Race—Dragon Breath Grass—also grew on the cliffs of this mountain.

This grass contained pure Attribute Energy and was a primary ingredient for crafting various draconic potions.

’Food and Alchemy Materials, killing two birds with one stone.’

Raylo recalled the topographical map of the area in his mind, marking the Wind God Winged Dragons’ flight paths, hunting habits, and patrol intervals one by one.

The hunting plan was set.

He couldn’t attack the nest directly. That would provoke a swarm attack from all the Wind God Winged Dragons. Even with Sun and Kado, it would be a brutal, bitter fight, and the potential losses would outweigh the gains.

In this dangerous world, what he needed was precise, efficient, and swift hunting: lure the Wind God Winged Dragons out of the nest and defeat them one by one.

"Sun. Kado."

Raylo said in a low voice.

The Golden Dragon and Kado focused their attention on him at once.

"We’re changing locations."

Putting away his spyglass, Raylo turned and led the team, silently withdrawing from the observation point.

The group headed northeast.

A twenty-kilometer journey wasn’t far for this special contingent.

Sun flew at a low altitude, using Wind Magic to minimize the turbulence from its massive wings. Its golden body skimmed over the sea of trees like a fleeting shadow.

Raylo followed close behind, riding on Baofeng’s back.

Kado and the Hill Giants ran along the ground. Their stamina was astonishing, their strides huge and steady, allowing them to cross gullies and streams as if they were level ground.

Along the way, they witnessed a mere sliver of the Giant Dragon Realm’s ecosystem.

There were house-sized beetles, Herbivorous Magical Beasts that looked like moving hills, and gigantic pythons over thirty meters long that poked their heads out of swamps.

Every creature radiated a powerful and savage aura, filling this land with both opportunity and lethal danger.

Finally, Raylo’s destination came into view.

It was a relatively low hill, about two hundred meters high. Compared to the surrounding peaks that were easily over a thousand meters tall, it was unremarkable.

The hill was covered in dense vegetation, mostly hard iron-thorn trees and thickets of shrubs. The summit was a pile of jumbled rocks, which conveniently blocked the view from the top of the hill.

The location was perfect.

Raylo vaulted off Baofeng’s back, surveyed his surroundings, and nodded in satisfaction.

"This is the place."
