Seeing the last line of the Evaluation, Zhang Yi finally understood why this Celestial Rong Seedling had used Plant Whispering to find the Wood Elf Scout, Richard, and tempt him with the promise of an enhanced bloodline, all just to leave its original location. This was a Wood-Attribute Elf Ancient Tree. Once it matured, it could naturally produce Life Essence to help the Wood Elves enhance their bloodlines.

As for the potential of this Celestial Rong Seedling, Zhang Yi could tell that it was in no way inferior to the Sun Ancient Tree seed he had previously bestowed upon the Fire Elves. Since the Fire Elves already had their own Elf Ancient Tree, Zhang Yi certainly wouldn’t favor one over the other. He had been searching for high-quality Magic Trees, hoping to use Holy Blood to create an exclusive Elf Ancient Tree for the Wood Elves. Unfortunately, the several types of Magic Trees he found in the Zhang Yi Divine Realm failed to meet his standards. Even if transformed with Holy Blood, their potential would be too low and incomparable to the Sun Ancient Tree seed bestowed upon the Fire Elves. It would be a complete waste of a drop of Holy Blood.

For this expedition, the great God of Nature had instructed the Wood Elves to search for trees with great potential. As long as a tree’s quality and potential exceeded his expectations, Zhang Yi was willing to spend a drop of Holy Blood to transform it, allowing the Wood Elves to have their own Elf Ancient Tree. And now, things were perfect. The Wood Elves no longer needed to search; they could immediately have their very own Elf Ancient Tree.

After returning from this expedition, Zhang Yi could use the two drops of Holy Blood he had recently obtained to accelerate the Spiritual Intelligence growth of these two Elf Ancient Trees.

I can get it all done just in time before the final exams!

Otherwise, the two Elf Ancient Trees would remain in their juvenile stage, muddled and unaware, completely unable to display their true effect.

By using these two drops of Holy Blood and investing a large amount of resources, Zhang Yi could directly mature the Spiritual Intelligence of these two juvenile Elf Ancient Trees, turning them into Elf Ancient Trees with adolescent-level Spiritual Intelligence. While possessing Fourth- or Fifth-Level Power, they would be able to produce Life Essence. The production of Life Essence signified that a stable path had finally been established for his Clan to advance within the Zhang Yi Divine Realm. They could now progress through the simple accumulation of time, without needing to engage in war.

After dealing with this matter, Zhang Yi had the Wood Elf Scouts place the Wood-Attribute Elf Ancient Tree in their temporary camp, to be taken back to the God of Nature’s Divine Realm when the three-day expedition ended.

After night fell on the continent, most candidates chose to let their Clans rest. Only a small number whose Clans had night vision chose to take advantage of the darkness and go on a killing spree, continuously seizing Black Iron Treasure Chests.

Although both the Elves and Dwarves in Zhang Yi’s Clan possessed night vision, the great God of Nature had issued the command to rest. Aside from the scout teams sent out to continue searching for other tribes and the locations of Treasure Chests, the rest of his Clan rested for the night.

When they awoke the next morning, the scouts who had been out overnight had already returned to report the local situation to Elf Corps Commander Feiyana. Upon learning that there were six Black Iron Treasure Chests and two Silver Treasure Chests nearby, she immediately issued a command. First, the army would split into three groups to target the Black Iron Treasure Chests in sequence. After securing all six, the army would then divide into two forces that afternoon to strike at the locations of the two Silver Treasure Chests.

Just like that, on his second day on the fragmented continent, Zhang Yi obtained another six Black Iron Treasure Chests and two Silver Treasure Chests.

The six Black Iron Treasure Chests contained:

[Talent Crystal—Explosion (0.01%)]

[Talent Crystal—Earth (0.01%)]

[Talent Crystal—Lightning (0.01%)]

[Talent Crystal—Growth (0.01%)]

[Talent Crystal—Summon Wind (0.01%)]

[Talent Crystal—Shatterstone (0.01%)]

The two Silver Treasure Chests yielded [Talent Crystal—Water Force (0.03%)] and [Talent Crystal—Thunder and Lightning (0.03%)]. Although the attributes of the Talent Crystals from the Black Iron and Silver Treasure Chests differed slightly, they were mainly of the Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, and Lightning elements.

As for the Talent Crystals linked to the Top-Level Laws that Zhang Yi wanted—such as Time, Space, Life, and Death—he hadn’t seen a single one.

But that’s to be expected!

The Talent Crystals offered as rewards were simply too precious. If Zhang Yi’s school weren’t Golden City No. 1 Middle School—the best school in all of Golden City—any other institution’s best reward would have been a Five-Star Divine Domain Card.

Besides, even if the school had placed the Top-Level Talent Crystals Zhang Yi wanted on this continent, they would only be found in Golden Treasure Chests. Silver Treasure Chests just wouldn’t cut it.

Furthermore, if Zhang Yi, as a Demigod, refined these Talent Crystals, it would be of great benefit to him. After studying at school for the better part of a semester, he had mastered over twenty Divine Arts, with at least one for each of the various element types. For every attribute-type Talent Crystal he refined, his mastery of the corresponding Divine Art would deepen.

Secondly, refining these Talent Crystals was equivalent to mastering new types of Divine Arts without needing to spend any time studying. The interweaving application methods of Divine Arts that shared an attribute but had different casting methods could bring him new inspiration. This saved him time, increased his foundation, and laid the groundwork for his future promotion to True God—truly killing multiple birds with one stone.

If I were to complain about not getting any Top-Level Law Talent Crystals, I would be truly insatiably greedy!

In fact, if the long-standing rumor hadn’t been confirmed as fact in mid-November, Golden City No. 1 Middle School probably wouldn’t have dug into its accumulated reserves to create this mock exam.

This semester, Golden City No. 1 Middle School had indeed managed to secure an extra slot for the University Alliance Training Camp from other schools. It was important to understand that school funding in the Blue Star Federation’s Yanhuang Region was determined by several factors. While annual allocations were partly based on a school’s scale and faculty strength, the lion’s share was determined by the number of students sent to the University Alliance Training Camp and their performance there, as this was the primary basis for the appropriations.

Golden City No. 1 Middle School was probably trying to use this opportunity, after securing a fourth slot, to have all four of its students perform well in the camp this semester. Their goal was likely to turn this temporarily acquired slot into one granted annually by the Education Bureau. Otherwise, the school would never have spent so much this semester to offer such a large number of Talent Crystals as rewards.

However, regardless of the school’s decisions, this time, it was the exam candidates like him who were the real winners.
