Chapter 14: Sky-High Citadel and the Trapped Heiress

The 10,000 blue mana crystals dissolved into a river of liquid starlight, aggressively sucked into the silver circuitry of the crystal cube. The marble pedestal groaned under the sudden, violent manifestation of cosmic gravity.

[ Commencing SSS-Rank Hidden Base Evolution...]

[Deploying Cosmic Energy... Process complete!]

[You have created the Sovereign Command Core: ’The Iron Citadel’ (Rank SSS)!]

[Current Status: Unanchored. Please select a physical structure within a 5-mile radius to bind the pocket territory.]

Min-jae casually picked up the floating, pulsing silver-and-black cube. It now felt weightless in his palm, humming like a tiny, domestic galaxy. He pulled up the holographic map of the Seoul Sector. If he wanted an empire that commanded respect and absolute tactical dominance, hiding underground wasn’t his style. He wanted to look down on the world as it burned.

His finger tapped the tallest landmark in the central district: The Lotte World Tower, a sleek, 123-story luxury skyscraper piercing the purple apocalyptic sky.

"Anchor the core to the top fifty floors of the Lotte World Tower," Min-jae commanded internally. "Merge the pocket dimension."

[Target selected: Lotte World Tower (Upper Sector).]

[Anchoring complete! Activating the Absolute Law Defense Grid... Mirroring host’s ’Eternal Vajra Deity Body’ and ’Vajra Ward’. The upper tower is now completely immune to all physical, magical, and mental damage from unauthorized entities!]

"Let’s go," Min-jae said, tossing the core into Chae-won’s void inventory. "We have a palace to claim."

Ji-a rested her heavy obsidian-silver spear against her shoulder, a sultry, thrill-seeking smile playing on her lips. "A luxury skyscraper in the middle of a warzone? Min-jae, your taste is just as arrogant as your fighting style. I love it."

The Void-Forge Iron Dreadnought roared back up the concrete ramp, its tracks effortlessly chewing through the debris of the titanium door. Thanks to the Phasing Ram trait, Min-jae drove the massive black machine straight through the crumbling city grid, ignoring traffic jams and phasing through the occasional collapsed concrete overpass at 90 miles per hour.

Within fifteen minutes, the towering silhouette of the glass skyscraper appeared through the thick green fog. The bottom floors of the building were in absolute chaos. Thousands of Level 6 Grey Orcs and Level 8 Hell-Hounds were throwing themselves against the lower glass walls, their teeth and claws scraping against the reinforced structure.

But Min-jae didn’t care about the ground floor. He drove the Dreadnought straight toward the private underground executive elevator shaft, which immediately recognized the SSS-Rank Sovereign core’s signature, opening a clean, unobstructed path straight to the 100th floor.

The elevator climbed at supersonic speeds, the digital display rocketing upward until the heavy metal doors slid open with a soft, vacuum hiss.

The 100th floor was a massive, sprawling ultra-luxury penthouse suite, featuring 360-degree floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the entire burning metropolis. But the air inside was thick with tension, smelling faintly of high-end perfume, expensive leather, and... fresh blood.

"Ah... who’s there?!" a sharp, melodic voice gasped from the center of the penthouse lounge.

Min-jae stepped out of the elevator, his hands casually inside his pockets, his obsidian eyes locking onto the figure standing behind a overturned mahogany desk.

Standing there was a young woman who looked to be exactly his age— around nineteen— but she looked like a literal princess trapped in a modern nightmare. She was breathtakingly beautiful, with an ethereal, doll-like face, large, expressive sapphire-blue eyes, and soft, cascading platinum-blonde hair that fell perfectly over her shoulders. She wore a shredded, pristine white silk designer dress that clung to her voluptuous, hourglass curves, revealing a tantalizing glimpse of her smooth, pale thighs and a narrow, remarkably slender waist. Her chest heaved heavily with ragged breaths, her porcelain skin smudged with a streak of soot that only enhanced her vulnerable, captivating allure.

In her trembling, manicured hands, she held a glowing, ancient golden bow, an arrow of pure light notched and aimed straight at Min-jae’s forehead.

Min-jae’s system instantly flared to life, scanning her data.

[Scanning Target: Han Seo-yoon (Age: 19)]

[Identity: Sole Heiress to the Han-Seng Mega-Conglomerate (Rival to Daesung).]

[Innate Talent: Artemis’s Sovereign Grace (Rank S)]

[Description: Grants 300% accuracy and unlimited light-elemental ammunition. Pierces through demonic armor parameters.]

[Hidden Evolution Path Found for Target!]

[Evolving to Rank-SSS: ’Primordial Goddess of the Stellar Hunt’ (Requires 50,000 Mana Crystals).]

Min-jae’s lips curved into a cold, highly intrigued smile. Han Seo-yoon.

In his past life, she was known as the "Starlight Empress," the most coveted and untouchable female sniper in the global sector. Not only was her destructive range unmatched, but her family’s immense wealth and remaining resources before their collapse had made her a prime target for every corrupt faction on Earth. To think she was trapped in her family’s own private corporate penthouse.

"Lower the bow, princess," Min-jae said, his tone entirely flat, unbothered by the S-Rank arrow of light pointed at his skull. "If you release that string, the arrow will just bounce off my forehead and explode your own skull. I don’t have time to clean your blood off my new penthouse floor."

Seo-yoon’s sapphire eyes widened, her fingers trembling against the golden string. She had spent the last three hours watching her private security detachment get slaughtered by a Level 10 Gargoyle Elite that had crashed through the upper roof. She was terrified, exhausted, and cornered. Yet, looking at the handsome, impossibly calm young man before her, an unexplainable wave of safety washed over her panicked mind.

"Y-You’re a human..." Seo-yoon whispered, her lower lip quivering slightly as her gaze drifted to the two stunning women stepping out from behind him.

Ji-a narrowed her violet eyes, a dangerous spike of territorial jealousy flaring in her chest as she took in Seo-yoon’s voluptuous curves and striking beauty. She stepped up right beside Min-jae, the crescent tip of her spear humming. "Min-jae, she’s an Archer. Good utility, but highly fragile. If she doesn’t drop the weapon, let me pierce her through."

"Wait! Please!" Seo-yoon cried out, her proud, aristocratic defenses completely crumbling. She dropped the golden bow, her knees giving out as she collapsed onto the plush rug, her large blue eyes pooling with tears as she looked up at Min-jae with absolute, desperate submission. "The monster... it’s on the roof terrace above us! It killed my father’s guards... it’s trying to break through the reinforced ceiling! If you kill it... I will give you everything! My family’s remaining secret supply vaults, my loyalty... anything! Just save me!"

[ Target ’Han Seo-yoon’ has initiated an emergency rescue allegiance request!]

[Current Loyalty/Trust Metric: 45% (Desperate/Captivated).]

[Would you like to accept her into your party system? (Party Size can expand via the Iron Citadel core!)]

Min-jae walked over to her, stopping right in front of her kneeling figure. He reached down, his fingers gently gripping her chin, forcing her to look up into his cold, dominant obsidian eyes. The sheer physical proximity made Seo-yoon’s heart race violently, her face flushing a deep, sultry crimson as she felt the suffocating aura of absolute power radiating from him.

"I don’t care about your family’s status, Seo-yoon," Min-jae said, his voice a low, seductive baritone that sent shivers down her spine. "In this new world, you belong to me now. Your body, your talent, your bow. Agree to my terms, and I’ll turn you into a goddess who hunts monsters ."

"I agree..." Seo-yoon gasped, her breath catching as she completely surrendered her soul to his presence. "I am yours."

’Screech.!’

Before the system ding could even process, the reinforced glass ceiling above the penthouse shattered into a million pieces. A massive, ten-foot-tall Gargoyle Elite with stone-hard gray skin, crimson leathery wings, and razor-sharp obsidian claws tore through the roof, landing heavily on the marble floor with a primal, bloodthirsty roar. Its Level 10 Calamity aura suffocated the room, its eyes locked straight onto the vulnerable, silk-dressed heiress.

Min-jae slowly let go of Seo-yoon’s chin, turning his head toward the beast with a look of supreme, icy annoyance.

"Ji-a, shield the girls," Min-jae commanded, stepping directly into the path of the lunging monster. "I’m going to show our new archer exactly what happens when something tries to touch my property."
