Global Game: Developing a Knight Clan
Chapter 387 - 46: The Giant Demon Empire’s Olive Branch, The Allied Army Concept
It was no wonder some of the Deities were losing their composure.
Matty ignored the unsettled Giant Demon Deities and continued:
"So, does everyone know how many Divine Favored there are in the Star Empire?"
"Five million!"
"That’s right. The current number of Divine Favored in the entire Star Empire is maintained at five million."
"Furthermore, I can tell you unequivocally that every last one of these Divine Favored is a Transcendent."
"Out of five million Transcendents, one million are High Tier. And all of these High Tier beings were cultivated during the period when the Star Empire was founded!"
"Having said this, all of you should understand the implications, correct?"
After Divine Matty displayed the charts detailing the quantity and quality of the Divine Favored, all the Giant Demon Gods fell silent.
"This joke isn’t funny in the slightest."
"Minister Matty, are you certain all your data is accurate?"
"The cost of cultivating this many High Tier Transcendents in such a short time... Even if the Deities of the Divine Council Hall exhausted all their accumulated resources, it might not be possible!"
"Are you sure this group was created solely by that Dragon God?"
A Powerful Divine Power Deity from the Department of Faith and Propaganda spoke up.
"I am certain!"
"Lady Gwendolyn, I even believe that if the Star Empire is given another three hundred years, the number of its Saint Tier and above beings will absolutely increase exponentially!"
Divine Matty’s expression was completely calm.
But now, the Main God seated on high, Penelope, the head of the Divine Council Hall, could no longer hold back. She frowned and spoke.
"So, Minister Matty, what are you trying to tell us by saying all this?"
"Are you suggesting that the entire Empire, His Majesty, and all of us should become vassals to this Star Empire with its terrifying Potential?"
Facing the somewhat accusatory tone of Main God Penelope, Divine Matty bowed calmly and said:
"No, Your Excellency."
"What I mean to say is that the scale and speed at which these Divine Favored are cultivated is clearly impossible for a single deity to achieve."
"Not even for an Ancient Species!"
"Unless that Dragon God has completely stopped caring about the growth of his own Power."
"Therefore, I believe there must be other ’gods’ behind this Dragon God!"
"I am very sure of this. In fact, you can all see for yourselves the scene when I signed the contract with this Dragon God."
As Matty spoke, they waved a hand and switched the projection back to the scene of them signing the Main God Contract with Lince.
In the image, the contract floated before the Giant Dragon, but in the next moment, it was pulled by an unknown force, soaring high into the air before vanishing completely.
The Deities were all stunned by this scene.
At this moment, the figure to the left of the high seat, Prime Minister Main God Moridun, suddenly spoke as well.
"It seems we’ve underestimated the Star Empire civilization after all."
"Minister Matty was not lying about this matter. After all, that Contract Scroll was a manifestation of my own Divinity."
"When the contract was being forged, I did indeed feel a peculiar power signing it with me. That power most certainly did not come from the Dragon God who was present at the time."
"Hmm, I recall the Star Empire has an allied civilization, do they not?"
"I’ve heard it’s called the Oakland Civilization?"
At this, Main God Moridun suddenly looked at Matty.
"Yes, Your Excellency Moridun. From what I’ve gathered from various sources, the Oakland Civilization does indeed seem to be the world where the Dragon God originally resided," Divine Matty said. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
"So, do our people have a chance to visit that world? Perhaps even make contact with that world’s Deities?"
Main God Moridun inquired.
"Unfortunately, Your Excellency, I don’t think that’s possible."
"The Deities of the Oakland Civilization are currently members of the Star Empire’s Pantheon."
"And the Star Empire’s Pantheon is not open to outsiders. Their Deities are not even permitted to have private contact with any Outer Gods."
"This is a rule of the Star Empire’s Pantheon. I believe it would be best if even we did not try to break the rules set by that Dragon God."
"Besides, I feel that trying to uncover the Dragon God’s secrets would only sour the relationship between our two sides. For now, knowing this much is sufficient!"
At this point, Divine Matty’s tone shifted.
"Furthermore, I’ve said all this merely to inform you, Your Excellencies, that the mystery of the Star Empire and its Dragon God far exceeds our imagination!"
"The Empire should maintain the greatest possible friendship in its dealings with them."
"In fact, in my opinion, this is definitely not a bad thing for our Empire. It could even be a very good thing!"
Matty’s words won the approval of many Deities in the Divine Council Hall.
Meanwhile, Emperor Tobien of the Empire and his two right-hand Main Gods conferred privately via telepathy for a while. Ultimately, they decided on a plan.
The plan was this: to deepen their friendship with the Star Empire, Emperor Tobien had decided to invite the Star Empire to join the Tobien Empire in conquering a newly discovered civilization!
Once this civilization was conquered, the Giant Demon Empire planned to divide all its spoils with the Star Empire based on their respective contributions.
Of course, in reality, the Giant Demon Empire merely wanted to use the joint conquest of this civilization as a foundation. Their true goal was to establish a world where both sides could freely interact and share resources.
The purpose was to facilitate deeper exchange and even strengthen the bond between the two civilizations.
As for profits and the like, the Giant Demon Empire wasn’t concerned with them this time!
The civilization chosen by the Giant Demon Empire for this joint conquest would naturally not be too weak.
It was a Middle Demon High-Energy World, a world that should, by all estimates, contain at least one Star God or Ancient Species.
In any case, the Giant Demon Empire had only recently discovered this civilization, so they had not yet fully scouted it for information.
But the information they currently had was sufficient.
After all, if the Star Empire were to participate, based on what they knew of its power, any potential problems should be minor.
Besides, the Giant Demon Empire would be contributing its own strength as well.
And so, the invitation was sent out from the Giant Demon Divine Council Hall.
An ambassadorial delegation was even sent to the Star Empire.
Finally, news returned.
The Star Empire had agreed. They even quickly dispatched their own ambassadorial delegation to the Giant Demon Empire to begin discussing the details of the war between civilizations.
