That Ruin creature looked like a moving building, its body structure abnormally stable. The explosive creatures could only destroy parts of its body, and it had no obvious vital points.

To completely destroy it, Lin Ye would need at least twenty explosive creatures.

One time was fine, but if multiple large Ruin creatures appeared, it would affect the stability of the Parasitism Network.

Lin Ye fired a shot directly in that direction. There was a considerable distance between him and that Ruin creature, but that wasn't much of a problem for him.

Some spiritual energy nodes appeared ahead of the bullet. As the bullet passed through, those nodes not only accelerated it but also altered its trajectory.

In other words, as long as it was within the Parasitism Network's coverage, Lin Ye could hit his target no matter which direction he shot.

He just needed to let the bullet fly for a while.

Number One bullet accurately hit the Ruin creature, and white powder exploded inside its body. This disrupted the creature's bodily stability. Combined with the effects of the collapse rune engraved on the bullet casing, the Ruin creature quickly disintegrated completely.

A golden chest was teleported next to the Ruin creature's corpse, and an Explosion Butterfly grabbed the chest and flew toward the truck.

Lin Ye put away Dark Dawn, and the chest quickly arrived at the truck. This chest wasn't locked either, and inside was a complete set of blueprints for manufacturing a humanoid creature.

This humanoid creature gave Lin Ye a feeling somewhat similar to those Ruin creatures, just more complete than they were.

Lin Ye had no intention of making this kind of humanoid creature. He was past the stage where he needed to replicate blueprints. Now, he could simply learn the techniques he could use from them and ignore the flashy, impractical parts.

In the distance, a heavy-duty truck entered the Parasitism Network's coverage. Lin Ye had seen this truck before.

The heavy-duty truck stopped not far away, and the man walked over carrying a weak, pale-faced little boy.

He stealthily glanced at the trucks and the production line manufacturing Number One Substance, along with the now-closed portal. As long as he wasn't an idiot, he could guess what had happened here.

This shocked the man greatly. He had thought Lin Ye would at most make a clean getaway from over there. He never expected Lin Ye to have directly overturned the opposition and brought back so much loot.

"Sir, this is my child. Can you take a look at his condition?"

The man spoke nervously.

"Alright, you really did bring me a patient that even I find hard to handle."

When the boy entered the Parasitism Network, Lin Ye had already grasped the situation inside his body.

"Although the dosage is small, his body has already merged with that substance that would cause his body to collapse. Unless I give him a new body, I can't remove the stuff inside him."

The main issue was that the boy's body was too weak. Lin Ye couldn't use overly extreme methods on him.

"...Is there really no way?"

The man had only heard of elixirs that could clear abnormal states, but such elixirs were usually extremely valuable—far beyond what he could afford.

"Consider it a return gift for that map. Besides, he won't use much of it anyway."

Lin Ye took out that bottle of shower gel from his loot space and dripped a strand onto the boy's head.

Watching the boy convulsing on the ground, the man knelt helplessly beside him. He wanted to do something but couldn't do anything.

Flakes of shimmering, fiery ashes fell onto the boy's body. Lin Ye activated the World of Ashes, using the biologically active ashes to fill the gaps inside the boy.

He didn't really want to do this. These ashes were no safe medicine; they were world-born substances fused from various Rule Fragments. Using such matter to form a body might be worse than just swapping bodies.

"Thank you so much for your help!"

Seeing the boy gradually improving, the man said excitedly.

"You might be celebrating too early. I used ashes to fill the gaps in his body. These ashes are matter produced by the fusion of multiple rules—rules related to dangerous Planes. You should understand what that means."

Lin Ye didn't name those dangerous Planes, afraid he might scare the man.

"...There's no helping it. This is already pretty good. At least he has a chance to live."

The man was more optimistic than Lin Ye had expected.

"It's actually not that big a deal. As long as he can become a tenth-order spiritual energy user, he should be able to live a normal life... Forget that, I need your help with something. Can you contact nearby truck drivers?"

Lin Ye had thought of a plan involving truck drivers earlier when installing the Number One Substance production line. But this plan required a driver familiar with the area to carry it out.
