Chapter 392: Their Worst Nightmare.

While Solenne was delivering the message, Thoren was making sure the Scorpion Clan understood the gravity of the message.

His message was not a bluff.

It was not a request.

It was not a plea.

Hell, it was not for an alliance.

But a command.

Others might not be able to demand what they rightfully wanted from the Scorpion Clan, but he would.

They might have pushed his sister to the limit and chased her to the end of the world.

Not him.

He commanded death.

Why should he fear death?

The Scorpion Clan thought they were terrifying.

Scary.

But they were wrong.

Too wrong.

He was more than scary.

He was more than fear.

He is despair.

Their greatest nightmare.

He would make them realize what they called home was nothing but their prison. Their intimidating army was nothing before him.

He would make sure.

Sure enough that they would be too scared to come out.

Too scared to close their eyes.

Sleep would become a luxury they would not be able to afford.

They would be too scared to leave their home.

Too scared to walk on their wide, magnificent streets.

The water they prided themselves on having would become poison in their eyes.

They would pray and beg for this nightmare to be over.

But it would not, not until they fulfilled his command.

This was his pledge to them.

And he was damn sure to fulfill it.

And standing on top of a dune, Thoren watched coldly as the third Scorpion Town was being razed down by his undead army.

An army solely made of undead Scorpion Men.

In the lead were the three Level 37 undead Scorpion Men. They were the vanguard.

His blade.

His sword of Damocles.

To confront the Scorpion Clan and their king, he knew he had to go all out. Flip the board, scatter the rules, and make everyone follow his.

And the plan was already in motion.

The board was already flipping, but the Scorpion Clan and the Slave Trade Guild were still in their slumber.

Inside the town, screams rose and fell like a broken song.

The Scorpion Men who had once looked down on humans now ran through their own streets in terror.

Some tried to fight.

Some tried to flee.

Some dragged their families toward hidden tunnels, only to discover undead Scorpion Men already waiting at the exits.

The three Level 37 undead Scorpion Men tore through every defense with brutal efficiency.

Their claws ripped apart shells.

Their stingers pierced through their backs.

Their heavy bodies smashed through walls, gates, and wooden fences as if nothing could slow them down.

The weaker undead Scorpion Men followed behind them, flooding the streets like a death tide wearing the faces of fallen kin.

Five minutes later, all the Scorpion Men inside the town had already been slaughtered. Their corpses scattered everywhere on the street and outside the town.

Fresh blood flowing on the muddy road like a wailing ghost.

Without any change in his expression, Thoren walked toward the town and cast his undead skill.

[Undead Summoning]

[Bone Manipulation]

Immediately, the fallen Scorpion Men rose back to their feet, joining the undead legion.

The dead town stood again, no longer for the Scorpion Clan for the undead.

Looking at the thousands of undead Scorpion Men, Thoren smiled faintly.

They called him Grim Reaper, and now, he was showing the gravity of such a name.

With the third Scorpion Town gone, Thoren did not dilly dally. He began his journey to the fourth town.

His steps were steady.

Calm.

He did not summon his undead mount, nor was he in a hurry to get to the fourth Scorpion Town.

He was biding his time.

Waiting...

The longer he waited, the more his undead army would grow.

That, to him, was quite a bargain.

Behind him, the undead Scorpion army marched in silence.

The sound of their many legs brushing across the crimson sand echoed like dry bones scraping against stone.

...

....

In front of the Scorpion City, everywhere was terrifyingly silent. Every guard held their breath, their hands tightened on their weapons.

The previously injured Guard Captain stood by the side with an ugly expression. Even though he wished to tear the human woman to pieces, he knew he was no match for her.

More importantly, with the elder present, he dared not leave his post.

"So what is this message of yours?" the Scorpion Elder asked with a cold sneer.

His presence made the air around him tremble vehemently. His muscles bulged under his elder robes. His scales glistened with pride.

He was close to two meters in height, looking down on the human woman.

Unbothered by the Scorpion Elder’s disdain, Solenne’s expression remained blank.

"The Grim Reaper asked me to tell your king that he wants access to your clan library and ancient archive," she began slowly.

When the Scorpion Elder heard this, his disdain could not help but deepen. Even the Scorpion Guards behind him could not help but sneer.

To them, the words were absurd.

Ridiculous.

Insane.

A human wanted access to the Scorpion Clan’s library.

Not just the outer records.

Not just common scrolls.

But the ancient archive.

The place where their clan’s forbidden histories, bloodline records, ruin maps, and ancestral secrets were preserved.

For a human to even mention such a place was already enough to deserve death.

"This is not a request nor a plea. This is a command." She continued.

The sneers around the city gate slowly faded.

"He said he wishes for you not to accept his command. But then, you can watch as every one of your clansmen is turned into his undead servant."

"With every second you hesitate, one of your clansmen is being killed and turned into his undead servant."

"He said he is coming for you. For your city."

"And when he does, you will not have this opportunity again."

The final sentence fell like a blade.
