The moment Joshua saw the Iron-Tier Beasts appear, he knew if he didn’t want the village to be destroyed, he had to go all out even if it ended up killing him.

He looked at Oliver, Randy, John and the fifth Awakened of the village, Mike. Almost at the same time, they also looked over and when their eyes met, they knew what Joshua was about to do.

The Iron-Tier Dark Beasts growled in rage, and the bone plating on their skull, around the neck and on the upper parts of legs shone with a black glow as they readied to attack him with all their power.

Joshua threw his spear which appeared the next instant before one of the beasts and pierced its head cleanly through.

The beast let out a soft growl before the glow in its eyes dimmed down and it fell to the ground.

Swoosh!

Joshua hadn’t stopped after launching his spear and continued rushing toward them. He dodged the second beast’s attack, pulled his spear out of the first beast’s corpse and stabbed at the second beast several times, his hand and spear moving so fast that they became a blur.

When Joshua stopped, the second beast had several holes punched throughout its body, including its head.

Bang!

Immediately after, he spun on his heels, kicked the ground and rushed toward the Beast Eren had stopped momentarily.

Bam!

Eren was sent flying through the east exit and fell inside the village near Luna.

The beast let out a roar and was about to rush over to finish him when Joshua arrived behind it.

The beast sensed him and its tail whipped out at him.

Joshua didn’t try to dodge, just tilted his body a little so it would land on his upper back instead of his head or shoulders.

"Argh!" The tail tore his shirt and left a deep and long wound on his back which sent sharp pain shooting throughout his body and made him stiffen for a moment.

Before the beast could fully turn around and face him, he recovered and stabbed out with his spear.

Unfortunately, the reddish glow had thinned out by half and his strikes weren’t as lethal. So, he failed to kill it immediately.

"Fuck!" He cursed in frustration and engaged it in prolonged battle.

"He is alive. Bring him to safety." he shouted at Luna, who freed herself from the beasts and dragged Eren up the wall.

She then looked inside the village and the scene of multiple dark beasts rushing deeper made her heart clench.

But she didn’t have the luxury to mourn the losses about to happen because the battle hadn’t ended. So, she began firing arrows, killing every beast she could.

"Arghh..."

It was then she heard Eren groan behind her and looked over, "You alright?" she asked.

"You alright?" I heard Luna’s voice and saw her looking back at me while shooting arrows at the beasts entering the village from the wall.

’She saved me?’ I thought, then while fighting the pain in my chest, I nodded and asked, "Yeah. What happened to that Iron Tier Dark Beast?"

"Uncle Joshua is fighting it." saying this quickly, she added, "Stay here," and jumped down while pulling out a short sword.

I took a deep breath, then with a thought, took out one of the Healing Potions from the system inventory and drank it in one gulp.
