More bodies landed, and Zach noticed them crash.

He didn’t know if they were part of the test. All he knew was that they were there for him, and not especially in a good way.

He would have to act smart and fast.

He had now created an all-new talent thanks to the Tier 2 abilities.

His Molecular Talent was strong. He could control mana on a molecular level.

The reason he instinctively attacked Gadmoda when his molecules rearranged back was because of one singular desire: to survive. His molecules didn’t need as much coordination.

He could function much better with this talent. If things got worse, he could ultimately lean on the Mass Talent as well.

More even crashed.

He was surrounded.

The rifts only spat out more mages.

One after the other. All with presumably the same purpose.

All sent to take him down.

He would resist. This would prove—

’I’m cornered,’ Zach thought.

His best bet would be to use the intuitive abilities of the Molecular Talent.

You have to remember the talents that Zach evolves using the system have no number system. All these talents could, in theory, perform a variety of spells.

It all would depend on the user. In this case, Zach’s creativity.

"Molecular Talent," he chanted.

He immediately atomized and reassembled himself. Staff in hand, he blasted one of the mages.

"Wow, that’s cool," he noted.

"I hope he’s not dead," he added.

Zach was surrounded. He didn’t know how to react.

He did, though.

"Molecular Talent," he chanted.

His body atomized, and then he reassembled. This time, his molecular structure split.

There were now ten of him.

One by one, they appeared behind the mages who previously surrounded him and blasted them.

The staff was passed between them in a rather comedic fashion, especially when you considered how small they were.

Zach had just handled a full circle on his own.

This new tier was proving to be very useful. It just cost a lot to sustain.

Not a whole lot, but since he was only C-rank, it did strain him.

’I have to be careful to—’

He thought of Gadmoda, but he was already restrained again.

She was back.

She had gotten to him.

"Molecular Talent."

He was immediately beyond her grasp.

Others came in.

He was now surrounded by a bunch of mages, presumably B-rank, C-rank, maybe a few A-ranks, but one thing was certain.

This woman before him was S-rank.

You would usually expect them all to fight over who would end him in order to claim the victory or something.

They were all on the same side. Different factions, but one goal.

Who dealt the final blow didn’t matter.

Things were getting intense.

’I’m going to rapid fire,’ Zach thought.

He was going to spam his talents before he went down.

No, he wasn’t going down. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

He thought of his brother.

He thought of Roe and the old man.

Just then he began to pant.

It was stress. Mental fatigue.

The talents were rearranging his anatomy.

This was the pushback.

Just then, he thought of something he hadn’t in a while.

His mind flashed back to when he gained the God Tier System.

He reflected on the statue.

The name finally came to him.

It was now obvious.

He simply smiled. There was nothing he could do about that, but this? He knew what to do about this.

"I’ll stand my ground. I’ll finish this test. I’ll get that staff," he proclaimed.

He wasn’t going down.

This was what he believed.

"Molecular Talent," he chanted.

And so he began to spam the ability.

He was going to take them all out.

His body would atomize and reassemble with another attack ready instantly.

Beams were sent flying from all directions.

None from the other mages.

This was all Zach.

He was seemingly everywhere.

He spread himself thin.

He would assemble himself and then attack.

His staff was no good anymore.

It was costing too much mana.

He activated one massive attack, combining two talents.

He wasn’t creating an all-new talent.

He was just testing out an idea.

"Winter Talent," he chanted.

An icy mist was immediately summoned.

This affected how the others could fight.

"It’s just your sight. Use your mana reading ability to counter his move. Sense him!" one team leader shouted.

This couldn’t work.

The properties of the Winter Talent nullified mana-sensing abilities, among other things.

They couldn’t locate him.

"Mass Talent," he chanted.

He ran through them.

Punch after punch, the mages fell.

They were no more durable than ants thanks to his talent.

A single punch was all it took.

Sometimes the punch was even overkill.

The mist had begun to lift.

He didn’t have as much mana, so it wasn’t particularly the best it could have been.

Just then, before he would lose his advantage—

He couldn’t be sensed, and he wasn’t about to let them sense him now.

"Diamond Talent," he chanted.

His hand hit the ground, and from it, large shards of pure diamond emerged, striking everyone in the field.

They were all torn up.

All dead.

All but one.

Gadmoda.

She and she alone remained.

"It’s a shame this is the fate that awaits you, kid," she said as she walked towards him.

"Not yet," he said.

You could barely hear Zach, but he wasn’t giving up.

"Roe," he said with a smile.

"Roe," he said more intensely.

"His name. The statue was Roe!" he shouted.

He was clearly drained, but that didn’t stop him.

He was still going to charge on.

He ran straight up to Gadmoda.

She readied for an attack, preparing her staff and aiming at the sluggish Zach approaching her.

Just then, he fell.

She lowered her staff.

It was over.

Dead from exhausti—

"Molecular Tale—"

He chanted.

He immediately went molecular.

Gadmoda immediately reacted. She knew this spell could let him appear and reappear at will.

He had used it on her quite a bunch. The others, even less.

She anticipated the attack.

It never came.

Zach didn’t go molecular.

The strain he’d placed on his body had caused the talent to go haywire.

He went atomic.

There was no reversing this.

The wielder of the God Tier System was dead.

Gone.

If Professor Fate was telling the truth, then the divergence had been taken care of.

[Zach — Former wielder of the God Tier System].

[Status — Deceased].

[System setup complete].

[Welcome, Roe.]

The system initiated.

[Congratulations on awakening the God Tier System.]
