God's Imitator
Chapter 521: Member Introductions
The last person following Lu Bingjun into the community hall was a young man with messy hair, who looked a bit sleep-deprived and seemed a little unclear about the current situation.
However, after his gaze swept over everyone in the hall, he suddenly showed a very surprised expression: "Hey? Qin Cheng! Why are you here too?"
Following his gaze, the crowd noticed a thin young man wearing narrow-framed glasses who also appeared somewhat surprised. He had been sitting by the window chatting with another player but stood up to greet the newcomer.
"Shengjie, long time no see. It must have been about five or six years since we graduated from high school."
The other person nodded: "Yeah! In the blink of an eye, it’s been five or six years."
Lu Bingjun was a bit surprised: "Oh? You two know each other? Perfect, why doesn’t everyone do a self-introduction and get to know each other?"
Everyone sat down around the long table.
Lin Sizhi’s gaze quickly scanned over, confirming that the number of people in the community had indeed become 14, causing the number of chairs around the table to change as well.
The two young men who had greeted each other naturally sat together.
Lu Bingjun sat at the top of the long table, continuing to lead the conversation.
"This time, our Community 2 has welcomed five new members, both new and old players. On behalf of Community 2, I warmly welcome everyone!
"Some new players might not know anything about the New World, but don’t worry, I will arrange for old members to guide and introduce you one-on-one, privately, later.
"The first thing now is to get to know each other since from today onwards, we will be comrades entrusting our lives to each other in the Walkway.
"Let me introduce the old members of Community 2 first."
The situation now was different from when Lin Sizhi first entered Community 17.
Everyone in Community 17 was entering the New World for the first time and didn’t know each other, so they introduced themselves in order of their numbers.
But in Community 2, the nine players were all survivors from the first phase, who knew each other, and it’s evident that Lu Bingjun holds a leader-like position in the community.
Thus, the introductions of the old members were all done by Lu Bingjun.
Lin Sizhi also roughly noted down the basic information about these players.
Number 2, Yao Yuan, male, 28 years old, company employee.
Number 3, Deng Xiao, male, 31 years old, fitness coach.
Number 4, Wen Wan, female, 27 years old, e-commerce.
Number 5, Lu Bingjun, male, 42 years old, company executive.
Number 6, Geng Yuxia, female, 59 years old, individual business owner.
Number 7, He Qinyun, female, 30 years old, product manager.
Number 8, Ye Lin, female, 34 years old, blogger.
Number 10, Zheng Chunhua, male, 44 years old, middle school teacher.
Number 11, Zhou Wanlin, female, 35 years old, administration manager.
These were the players who were already in this community during the first phase.
In addition, there were five new players who joined.
Number 1, Qin Cheng, male, 25 years old, medical student, new to the New World.
Number 9, Shen Bowen, female, 29 years old, mechanical engineer.
Number 12, Lin Sizhi.
Number 13, Lu Qi, female, 23 years old, university student, new to the New World.
Number 14, Huang Shengjie, male, 25 years old, unemployed, new to the New World.
Among the five newcomers, both Lin Sizhi and Shen Bowen had experienced the first phase of the game but joined the current community as newcomers due to their original communities being disbanded and reorganized.
Meanwhile, players Qin Cheng, Lu Qi, and Huang Shengjie were truly new players, at least judging by their behavior.
Huang Shengjie and Qin Cheng were high school classmates and knew each other in reality, but from their description, they went to different cities to study after high school graduation, losing contact.
Meeting again as new players now was hard to tell if it was a stroke of luck or misfortune.
After hearing the self-introductions of the five new players, Lu Bingjun looked at Qin Cheng with some interest.
"You’re a medical student?"
Qin Cheng nodded.
Huang Shengjie chimed in: "Qin Cheng was the top scholar in our high school! I always thought it was a waste of talent for him to study medicine. Someone like him should be building airplanes and rockets!"
Lu Bingjun nodded approvingly at Qin Cheng: "Doctors are a scarce profession here. Keep up the good work and perform well."
He then looked at Lin Sizhi and Shen Bowen—two players who had participated in the first phase but were clearly unfamiliar with the current community and its players.
"Do either of you have any questions? Feel free to speak freely."
Clearly, new players Qin Cheng, Lu Qi, and Huang Shengjie were new to the New World and although they had tons of questions, these were mostly informational and easy to answer.
They wouldn’t impact the existing community ecosystem.
But for veteran players like Lin Sizhi and Shen Bowen, who had their own habits and understanding of community building and the Walkway games, they were subjects needing special attention.
An ’experienced outsider’ failing to integrate smoothly into the community would undoubtedly cause more harm than a new player.
Lin Sizhi thought for a moment and asked, "What type of game was your first game? What was its name?"
Lu Bingjun answered, "A full-participation Allocation Game called ’Flower Brick Poker.’"
Lin Sizhi then looked at Shen Bowen, who claimed to be a mechanical engineer and indeed exuded a unique aura typical of female science and engineering professionals.
Shen Bowen said, "It was also a full-participation Allocation Game, ’Puzzle Poker.’"
Lin Sizhi nodded and said, "The game I participated in was ’Blood Poker.’"
Everyone quickly realized the implications behind this.
Shen Bowen mused, "This means we are from at least three different ’regions.’"
During the first Allocation Game, the Walkway mentioned ’full participation,’ which at that time included all players from Communities 1 to 20.
But evidently, there was more than one ’region’ constituted by Communities 1 to 20.
Thus, the first Allocation Game that each region participated in was different.
Lu Bingjun looked at the big screen: "Retrieve the rules for ’Flower Brick Poker.’"
However, the expected rule introduction didn’t appear on the big screen; only a simple line of text did.
[No corresponding game found.]
Lu Bingjun paused for a moment, then said, "Check all game rules."
Normally, a specialized page similar to an encyclopedia should appear at this time, with the game names on the left and the specific rules for each game on the right.
This page should compile all games that have appeared so far.
But currently, the page was empty, containing only one line of text.
[No relevant records found.]
Lu Bingjun paused for a moment, quickly realizing the reason.
"After entering the second phase, all game records from the first phase were cleared?
"...Well, let it be forgotten, and we can start afresh."
