Gorgeous CEO Fell in Love with Me
Chapter 577: War Breaks Out!
Mansite stood quietly outside the house, looking calm, as if he was not worried about his men encountering an ambush after entering the room.
Lin Fan was indeed puzzled, not knowing where Mansite’s arrogance came from.
It wasn’t long before he saw two of his subordinates running out of the room in a hurry, and they rushed to Mansite, saying quickly, "Report to the deputy leader, Dean Mary has died!"
"What?" Mansite was taken aback.
Lin Fan was also shocked!
The two dared not hesitate and rushed into the room, where they saw Dean Mary sitting quietly with her legs crossed on the bed, her head drooped, blood at the corners of her mouth, and a dagger stuck in her chest; her clothes were stained with fresh blood that still dripped slowly, indicating she hadn’t been dead long.
No wonder the figure outside the room remained unmoving; it turned out she was already dead. However, besides Mary’s corpse, Lord Moses was nowhere to be seen!
Mansite hurriedly touched Mary’s pulse and found it beyond saving. He sighed helplessly.
"What is this?"
Lin Fan’s eyes landed on a silk cloth beside Dean Mary, and he immediately grabbed it to take a look; it turned out to be Dean Mary’s suicide note.
It stated her mistakes, her guilt towards the Lord, and her willingness to atone using this method. Clearly, Mary had committed suicide, not been murdered!
However, at the bottom of the letter, there were two clear words, surprisingly reading "Nick!"
Lin Fan’s pupils immediately narrowed tightly!
"What does this mean?" Mansite asked, puzzled by Lin Fan’s expression.
"My people told me earlier that Lord Moses had a close relationship with Count Nick. Clearly, the word ’Nick’ definitely refers to Count Nick," Lin Fan said grimly.
"One of the emperor’s four guardians, Count Nick?" Mansite was taken aback.
"Yes, it’s him!" Lin Fan nodded.
"Damn it! I didn’t expect him to be mixed up with the blood clan people!" Mansite cursed, clenching his fists.
"Lord Moses isn’t here; it’s very likely he fled to Count Nick’s house. Gather all your men in Paris; I’m afraid Count Nick’s home is already heavily guarded tonight, and a fierce battle is inevitable!" Lin Fan said.
"Hmph! I’ll show them the power of my Holy Knight Order!" Mansite snorted coldly, immediately turning to instruct the subordinate beside him. The subordinate, after receiving the order, took out their phone to make a call!
Then, Mansite took a deep look at Mary’s corpse and said, "She died for a worthy cause; set this house on fire. Cremation is the earliest way to conceal this, and it’s her best burial."
"Yes!"
A guard nodded. After Lin Fan and Mansite exited the house, they pushed the candle inside!
The house, made entirely of wood, ignited instantly upon contact with fire. Moreover, with the wind tonight, the flames grew stronger, and soon the entire room turned into a fireball!
"Damn ruthless!" Lin Fan clicked his tongue.
But as Mansite said, this was the best burial for Mary. If this incident became public, even in death, Mary would be scorned by the world; this way, her reputation could remain intact!
"Let’s go! We head to Count Nick’s castle!"
Mansite shouted, hoisting up his giant sword, as imposing as a mighty general, exuding an aura of dominance!
Lin Fan did not hesitate, following right behind!
At this moment, a row of cars was already parked outside the Asura Institute. Lin Fan and Mansite sat in the front car, driven by a member of the Holy Knight Order, while others got into the remaining vehicles one by one.
Vroom vroom vroom~
Soon, the engine roar broke the night’s silence; beams of light stacked together like a fiery dragon, as cars tore through the night, rapidly heading towards Count Nick’s castle!
The wind grew stronger, howling like ghosts and wolves. Without skyscrapers in the suburbs acting as barriers, the fierce wind gust unabated. The clouds in the night sky churned incessantly, seemingly brewing a storm!
Under the frenzy of acceleration, an hour later, a line of cars finally arrived not far from Count Nick’s castle. At this point, three cars and a relatively small truck were parked there.
After Lin Fan and the others’ car steadied, ten youths dressed like Holy Knights immediately exited the opposite car. Seeing Mansite, they respectfully called out, "Honorable Deputy Leader!"
"Unload the items from the car," Mansite immediately instructed.
"Understood!"
A subordinate answered, quickly organizing colleagues to start working. Shortly afterward, five large black leather cases were unloaded from the truck, and the members of the Holy Knight Order promptly opened them, assembling various parts!
Clearly, this was not their first time doing this; trained and proficient, within a short while, five pieces of equipment, resembling materials and mirrors but shaped like a scoop, emerged silver and complete, each with an already bright bulb in its center!
"What are these things?" Lin Fan asked in amazement, as this was his first encounter with such bizarre contraptions.
"Tools designed specifically to deal with the blood clan," Mansite replied.
"The church really racks its brains over dealing with the blood clan!" Lin Fan sighed.
Mansite didn’t respond, but after taking two binoculars from his subordinate, handing one to Lin Fan, they began observing the situation inside the castle.
Inside, occasionally, a line of patrolling guards passed by; many others were hidden, heavily fortified, with an estimated over fifty people, if they rushed in recklessly; they’d be surrounded and might get roasted alive!
However, Lin Fan noticed these weren’t Count Nick’s guards; their attire was unusual, and they carried no firearms, revealing them as blood clan individuals!
"Didn’t you eliminate the Paris blood clan division? How are so many blood clan people appearing here?" Mansite looked at Lin Fan, puzzled.
"Looks like Lord Moses called for reinforcements; they have over fifty, while we’re only thirty strong. Tonight’s battle will be tough!" Lin Fan spoke gravely.
"Hmph! Those who offend my church shall die; none of these monsters shall leave alive tonight!" Mansite declared domineeringly.
Then, Mansite made a strange gesture; the Holy Knight Order members beside him immediately formed two lines, and the crisp noise of "shua shua shua" echoed, as they raised their weapons, their gaze as sharp as swords, ready for battle,
Immediately thereafter, with another sweep of Mansite’s arm, the two rows of Holy Knight Order members advanced towards the castle without a hint of hesitation!
