Gorgeous CEO Fell in Love with Me
Chapter 579: Nemesis of the Vampires
Seeing the scene, Lin Fan and Mansite showed no surprise; everything was within their expectations.
"Haha! It’s actually Vice-Captain Mansite of the Holy Knight Order. It seems God favors me, allowing me to kill you tonight and take your heads back for a noble reward!"
At this moment, a boisterous laugh was heard, and a tall, burly figure instantly appeared on a hollow balcony on the second floor.
With flamboyant red hair and a strong scent of blood, it was none other than Lord Moses!
"Indeed, you’re here!"
Upon seeing Lord Moses, Mansite’s face immediately darkened, and he shouted coldly, "Lord Moses, how dare you kill a dean of my church. Such a deep hatred can only be appeased with your blood to honor Dean Mary’s spirit!"
"That old woman is dead?" Lord Moses was taken aback.
"That’s right! Her death is related to you." Mansite shouted.
But quickly, Lord Moses recovered, to him, Dean Mary was just a pawn to satisfy his desires, so he didn’t care and sneered, "It’s good that the old woman is dead. She kept demanding I call her beautiful, and I’ve longed to kill her!"
"You’re courting death!"
Mansite’s eyes immediately turned blood-red!
No matter what, Mary was part of the church, and Moses’ insult to her was an insult to the church. As the church’s most loyal follower, how could Mansite not be enraged upon hearing this?
If looks could kill, Lord Moses would have been slain countless times by Mansite’s gaze!
"Mansite, everyone here is mine; do you think your ragtag bunch is a match for me? Haha! What a joke!" Lord Moses laughed arrogantly.
"You’ll only know if we’re a match after a fight!" Mansite bellowed, swinging his right arm and forming a peculiar gesture with his hand—a special signal of the Holy Knight Order!
In fact, every major power has its unique gestures representing meanings like attack, defense, retreat. Even NBA players use hand signals for coordination, sometimes even eye signals.
When in battle, shouting orders to your teammates might not be heard as they are focused on combat.
Moreover, shouting orders can be overheard by the enemy; if you shout retreat, the enemy might block the exit, trapping you. Hence, most forces have hand signal codes!
Ha ha ha~
Suddenly, thirty members of the Holy Knight Order shouted in unison, their powerful voices resonating like thunder!
Swish swish swish~
Following that came a series of sword-drawing sounds, as thirty Holy Knights swung their mighty swords towards Lord Moses, their momentum overwhelming, with icy cold gleams slicing through the air like shooting stars!
"Reckless! Ghost Guards of the Vampires, heed my command, annihilate them!" Lord Moses coldly sneered and ordered.
Roar roar roar~
Deafening roars erupted, and the entire castle boiled over!
These Ghost Guards hesitated not for a moment, rushing ferociously towards Lin Fan and his companions while roaring.
"Form the array!" Mansite shouted calmly and immediately!
"Form the array..."
A voice echoed the shout from behind!
Five members of the Holy Knight Order equipped with mirror-like gear hurriedly placed the equipment on the ground, forming a circle. Then, they quickly turned on the fully charged bulbs.
Swish swish swish~ swish swish swish~
The materials on the equipment were reflective, and as the bulbs lit up, countless glaring beams shot out, resembling an artificial sun, instantly illuminating the entire castle courtyard!
Vampires are naturally afraid of sunlight and high temperatures, so they dare not operate during the daytime, living in cold, dark places lest they be melted and evaporated by the sun and heat.
Although these five pieces of equipment can’t compare to the sun, the dazzling beams still elicited painful screams from the Ghost Guards, making them stop in their tracks!
"Damn it! I didn’t expect the church to have so much equipment; truly the nemesis of vampires!"
Lin Fan couldn’t help but click his tongue, thinking how effective this was and considering researching it so that he wouldn’t be clueless when encountering vampires again!
"What is that thing?" Lin Fan asked Mansite.
"It’s called the Bright Mirror, a gift from God to our church followers, the biggest nemesis of vampires!" Mansite replied.
"That’s really a good thing, find a way to get me one to try out!" Lin Fan smiled.
"Sorry, someone not of the Holy Knight Order cannot borrow it!" Mansite ruthlessly refused.
"Damn, what a stingy bastard!" Lin Fan said displeased.
Though mighty, even Lord Moses struggled to open his eyes when faced with the Bright Mirror, muttering, "Damn it. It’s the Bright Mirror."
"Lord Moses, today is the day of your death!" Mansite shouted.
"Hmph! Killing me is not that easy!" Lord Moses coldly said.
"Then we’ll see!"
A cold gleam flashed in Mansite’s eyes as he swung another "attack" gesture!
"We are God’s followers, representing all light in this world. As God’s descendants, we shall eradicate all darkness! Kill!"
An order rang out from a member of the Holy Knight Order!
"Kill kill kill!"
Followed by a thunderous shout from the thirty-plus members, they seemed invigorated, as if transformed into killing machines!
The front-line Holy Knight Order members donned special glasses, wielding their enormous swords and charging towards several Ghost Guards.
Blinded by the Bright Mirror, the few couldn’t see, wailing in pain, unaware of the impending danger. In a moment, they were mercilessly pierced through the chest by the Holy Knights’ giant swords, dying instantly!
Then, other Holy Knight members quickly put on special glasses and attacked rapidly. The castle courtyard echoed with screams as the giant swords slashed madly.
The Holy Knight members were completely unaffected by the Bright Mirror’s reflective light, turning the battle into a merciless massacre against the tormented Ghost Guards!
Swords descended one after another, the sword winds howling, the blood spraying, staining the ground!
Yet the Ghost Guards had their countermeasures. Some in the front used their bodies as shields to block the blinding light, while those behind hid and advanced.
However, such a method, though preserving them temporarily, resulted in heavier casualties, as the frontline Ghost Guards, under the Holy Knights’ ferocious attack, had their bodies pierced repeatedly, becoming riddled with holes like a beehive!
