Gorgeous Female Tenants
Chapter 439 Catching a Ride
Ah Rong had no choice but to take off her headphones, a cold smile appearing at the corner of her mouth: "Listening to you two argue back and forth without conclusion is driving me crazy. Isn’t it just a meal? Since someone is inviting us to eat, let’s eat. It’s just a meal, what’s all this about collective action and unified operations, you two brainless individuals."
Xu Xiangbei and Gu Xiangyi both lost their temper and shouted together to the flight attendant: "Miss, another glass of red wine, please."
Three hours later, the plane arrived in Yanjing. Su Xinyu approached Gu Xiangyi once more, wearing his confident and proud smile: "We’ve arrived in Yanjing, Miss Gu. Have you considered accepting my invitation?"
Xu Xiangbei smiled at Gu Xiangyi. At the moment the plane landed, he stopped arguing with Gu Xiangyi because no matter what decision Gu Xiangyi made, he would respect it.
Gu Xiangyi glanced at Xu Xiangbei and with a smile said to Su Xinyu: "Thank you, Mr. Su, for your invitation, but sorry, we have important matters to attend to, so goodbye."
Xu Xiangbei and Ah Rong both showed surprised smiles, thinking Gu Xiangyi would accept Su Xinyu’s invitation, not knowing that Gu Xiangyi had long wanted to refuse it.
On the plane, Gu Xiangyi’s debate with Xu Xiangbei was purely for fun, to watch Xu Xiangbei get jealous and tense, which Gu Xiangyi found very amusing.
Su Xinyu looked disappointed, standing blankly in the airplane aisle. If not for his bodyguard urging him to deplane, he might have forgotten to get off.
After exiting the Yanjing airport, Xu Xiangbei smiled and said to Gu Xiangyi: "Thank you. Actually, even if you accepted the invitation, I wouldn’t be angry; I would respect your decision."
Gu Xiangyi didn’t speak, just shook her head and said disdainfully: "Fool."
Xu Xiangbei asked puzzled: "What fool? Are you talking about me?"
Gu Xiangyi ignored him and reached out to hail a taxi. Ah Rong raised an eyebrow and smiled: "You really are a fool; you don’t understand a woman’s heart. Actually, Gu Xiangyi made her choice before boarding the plane. I’m hungry, let’s find somewhere to have lunch." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Xu Xiangbei glared at Ah Rong reproachfully: "You women are such strange creatures. If you’ve already made your choice, why argue with me on the plane?"
Ah Rong looked at Xu Xiangbei with disdain: "Haven’t you heard, a woman’s heart is like the depths of the ocean? All women are not simple, including me."
Xu Xiangbei replied with vexation: "Are you a woman? Besides looking like a woman on the outside, what makes you a woman? No woman throws grenades at every turn like you do."
The airport was crowded, making it difficult to hail a taxi. A black stretch Lincoln slowly pulled up beside them, the window rolled down, and a driver in a black suit and gloves gestured for them to get in.
Xu Xiangbei looked at Gu Xiangyi in confusion: "Did you order a ride-share car?"
Gu Xiangyi looked at Ah Rong: "Did you call for this car?"
Ah Rong, holding her phone, appeared equally surprised: "Not me. Although I did call for a Didi ride, my car is half an hour away and I’m still deciding whether to call. Besides, who can get a stretch Lincoln, such a nice ride-share car? It’s unbelievable."
The car door slowly opened, and Su Xinyu cheerfully extended his hand: "Miss Gu, get in. Hailing a taxi, how embarrassing. Miss Gu, why didn’t you call a car to pick you up?"
It turned out to be Su Xinyu’s car. Gu Xiangyi hesitated, but Xu Xiangbei quickly pulled open the door and jumped in: "Hurry up, a free ride shouldn’t be missed."
Seeing Xu Xiangbei jump in first, Su Xinyu’s smile froze on his face, a layer of frost creeping over it.
After Gu Xiangyi got into the car, Su Xinyu regained his smile and looked at Gu Xiangyi tenderly: "Since you don’t have time for lunch with me, let me give you a ride. Just tell me where you want to go, and I’ll have the driver take you."
Gu Xiangyi smiled and replied: "To the Beihai Express Hotel near Beihai Park. Thank you."
Though Gu Xiangyi declined Su Xinyu’s lunch invitation, Su Xinyu was not discouraged. He persistently tried to get close to Gu Xiangyi by using various indirect approaches.
"Miss Gu, I’m a native of Yanjing. If you need a guide while touring Yanjing, I’d be happy to provide a free vehicle and be your guide."
Gu Xiangyi cautiously smiled without answering, and Xu Xiangbei responded for her, grinning slyly: "Mr. Su, you’re such a kind-hearted person. I’m really moved, there aren’t many good people like you."
After being interrupted by Xu Xiangbei, a trace of anger flashed in Su Xinyu’s eyes, and he looked at Xu Xiangbei with a sneer: "Sorry, I’m not familiar with you. My words were only for Miss Gu, so please don’t overthink it. Also, I didn’t invite you to get in the car, only Miss Gu."
Xu Xiangbei skittishly replied: "You really don’t appreciate good intentions, Su Xinyu. If I didn’t get in first, do you think Miss Gu would get into your lousy car? Ha, you’re a big fool."
As Gu Xiangyi was drinking mineral water, she was amused by Xu Xiangbei, causing the water to spray out, hitting the face of Su Xinyu’s bodyguard.
Gu Xiangyi apologized: "Sorry."
The bodyguard, with a cold face, took out a tissue from his pocket and mechanically wiped the water off his face.
Suddenly, deafening music blared from outside. Two Shamate teenagers on a motorcycle passed by the Lincoln, and seeing the stretch Lincoln, the Shamate teenagers screamed in excitement.
Su Xinyu looked outside at the brightly colored-haired Shamate teenagers with disdain, muttering: "Trash, these guys only know how to eat, drink, and play, driving around aimlessly, useless bums."
The Shamate teenager on the motorcycle’s back seat whistled roguishly, excitedly taking pictures of the stretch Lincoln with his phone.
Su Xinyu disdainfully told the bodyguard, his gaze sweeping over Xu Xiangbei indirectly making a veiled insult.
"Have those two pieces of trash move away from my car. This is a top-configured stretch Lincoln worth millions; if it gets scratched even a little, they couldn’t afford to pay."
The bodyguard rolled down the window, looking coldly at the Shamate teenagers and shouted: "Stay away from the car and no photos."
Seeing someone trying to drive them off, the two teenagers’ expressions changed. They were street-wise punks, fearless of anything, yet the bodyguard’s cold, intimidating aura overwhelmed them, knowing he wasn’t an ordinary person.
They flipped him off and revved the engine, silently riding away on the motorcycle until they vanished without a trace.
