Chapter 210: The Ancient Coffin [Part-2]
The Ancient Coffin [Part-2]
"Interesting..."
Dario stood atop the jagged northern ridge, his pale robes fluttering under the violent winds sweeping through the Land of Silence. Below him, the world looked as though it had fallen into the end of an age itself.
Flames surged endlessly across the ruined earth. Rivers of molten fire crawled through shattered valleys while black thunder split the heavens apart again and again. Every collision between the four terrifying beasts shook the sky so violently that even distant mountains cracked apart under the pressure.
The roar of the Smoke Darke Lion echoed like ancient thunder.
Earth Kong smashed its iron rod against the shell of the old earth spiky turtle, producing a deafening shockwave that flattened forests in an instant.
And above them all, the wounded Inferno Swift Bird screamed furiously, its enormous body still leaking crimson blood from the horrifying sword wound carved into its side.
Dario narrowed his aged eyes as he stared into the battlefield.
"He’s here as well?"
The old man’s voice carried an unreadable meaning.
For a moment, silence lingered around the members of Sky Breaker Acedmy standing behind him. Even Magnus and Max could sense the strange shift in Dario’s mood.
Dario, who did not want to talk about this topic, suddenly became interested.
A cold glint flickered deep inside his eyes.
He might be afraid of Mike, but he wasn’t afraid of Leon.
The humiliation of being beaten by Respected Zeon all those years ago had become a thorn buried inside his heart. Even after centuries, he still remembered every detail clearly.
Back then, he had entered Celestis Academy arrogantly, believing himself invincible beneath the heavens. Yet before he could even finish his grand speech, Respected Zeon had beaten him so badly that he fled across the academy premises like a stray dog.
That memory had become a lifelong stain.
Now...
Respected Zeon was already dead.
And his student had appeared here.
Was this not fate handing him an opportunity?
Since Leon was Respected Zeon’s disciple, then naturally... the old grudge would fall onto him.
Dario slowly clasped his hands behind his back. His expression remained calm, but a dangerous coldness quietly spread from his body.
He had also heard about Leon heavily injuring Magnus with a single strike. However, he did not take it to heart.
Magnus was strong among the younger generation, but to Dario, he was still insignificant.
He could kill Magnus with a single slap.
His strength was nothing to him.
Even if Leon could defeat Magnus, it didn’t prove how terrifying he truly was.
Furthermore, Leon was still so young.
What kind of shocking achievements could someone of that age truly possess?
The more Dario thought about it, the calmer he became.
At that moment, Max suddenly stepped forward. His expression carried unusual seriousness as he spoke in a low voice.
"Senior Brother, Leon is indeed in the Land of Silence. He appeared last night. As soon as he appeared, he cut off half of the Inferno Swift Bird’s body and severely injured it. His strength is astonishing. I feel that there has been a tremendous change compared to last time."
"What?"
Dario’s pupils contracted sharply.
Even the surrounding elders looked stunned.
The winds atop the mountain suddenly felt colder.
Dario was extremely clear about the Inferno Swift Bird’s strength. Among pinnacle Realm beasts, it was infamous for its savage body and overwhelming destructive power.
Even old monsters of the same level would not dare underestimate it.
Yet Leon had injured it with a single strike?
That was absurd.
A terrifying thought flashed through Dario’s mind.
Could Leon have already stepped into the pinnacle Realm?
But the next moment, Magnus snorted coldly from the side.
"Hmph, it’s just a sneak attack. Anyone with a discerning eye can tell. In that situation, the Inferno Swift Bird was busy dealing with the Smoke Darke Lion and didn’t have the time to care about him, so it barely let him succeed."
His tone was filled with disdain, but beneath that disdain hid something deeper.
Fear.
Magnus still remembered that sword.
That terrifying pressure.
That suffocating feeling of death.
Even now, whenever he recalled Leon’s purple eyes calmly staring at him, his chest tightened involuntarily.
But he refused to admit it aloud.
After hearing Magnus’s explanation, Dario finally relaxed slightly.
"So it was a sneak attack? Hmm... no wonder."
His expression eased considerably.
However, he still did not completely dismiss Leon anymore.
"However, even if it’s a sneak attack, to be able to heavily injure a terrifying existence like the Inferno Swift Bird with one strike, this Leon is still quite capable."
The old man stroked his beard slowly.
The flames from the distant battlefield reflected inside his eyes, making him look strangely sinister.
After thinking about it carefully, Dario became even more curious.
This new Division Master of Amethyst Summit Division was praised by the outside world almost like a god descended upon the mortal world.
Some even called him the Purple Sword Monarch reborn.
What kind of person was he truly?
Was he merely another arrogant genius inflated by rumors?
Or...
Something more dangerous?
Dario’s lips curved faintly.
"Let’s go and meet him. It’s fine if he’s really strong, but if he isn’t..."
A chilling smile slowly appeared on his aged face.
"...hehe... then don’t blame me for being rude."
Magnus’s eyes instantly lit up after hearing this.
His earlier frustration vanished completely.
He firmly believed that as long as Dario personally made a move, Leon would absolutely be suppressed.
After all, Dario was only half a step away from entering the pinnacle Realm fully.
In the entire Forsaken Domain, there were only a handful of people capable of opposing him.
Leon?
A mere junior.
How could he possibly survive?
Magnus lowered his head slightly to hide the vicious smile forming on his lips.
"Hmph, kid, just you wait. You’ll cry today."
Beside him, Max silently observed Magnus’s expression and sighed inwardly.
He already understood exactly what Magnus wanted.
Revenge.
Humiliation had twisted Magnus’s heart completely.
But unlike him, Max had personally witnessed Leon’s calmness and terrifying composure. That man did not resemble someone easy to provoke.
Especially after last night’s sword strike...
Even now, Max still felt chills remembering it.
Unfortunately, he could not stop Dario.
He could only pray silently that Dario could truly suppress Leon.
Otherwise...
Things might spiral beyond anyone’s control.
At this moment, on the other side of the Land of Silence.
The battlefield still raged without pause.
The air smelled of ash, blood, scorched stone, and lightning.
Every breath felt heavy.
Leon sat quietly atop a broken cliff overlooking the distant battle. His midnight robes embroidered with thin amethyst patterns fluttered gently in the hot wind. Long black hair rested over his shoulders while his purple eyes calmly reflected the chaos ahead.
Behind him stood Fairy Fiona, Jadis, Harry Taylor, and the others.
Everyone looked exhausted.
After all, they had watched four pinnacle Realm beasts fight through the entire night without rest.
Yet those monsters still showed no signs of slowing down.
Another terrifying explosion erupted in the distance.
BOOM!
A wave of heat rushed toward them violently.
Harry wiped sweat from his forehead and groaned tiredly.
"Senior, how long do you think they can fight for?"
The poor boy’s eyes were practically lifeless.
Watching such a terrifying battle all night had completely drained him mentally.
Yet the four giant beasts above were still fighting endlessly as if they possessed infinite stamina.
Leon did not immediately answer.
He quietly watched the battlefield for a moment.
The old earth spiky turtle endured another brutal strike from Earth Kong while lightning from the Smoke Darke Lion tore across the sky. Meanwhile, the wounded Inferno Swift Bird continued screeching like a maddened ancient demon.
Only after observing carefully did Leon finally speak calmly.
"The strength of the body is endless at this level, and the recovery ability of the Perfect Physics is extremely strong. Unless it’s an absolute suppression of strength, it’s very rare for a victor to be decided in a short period of time."
His voice remained steady and clear despite the deafening battlefield.
Harry listened extremely seriously.
His father had taught him cultivation since childhood, but Harrier Taylor mostly focused on practical combat.
Theory?
That man barely understood it himself.
Harrier Taylor’s philosophy was simple:
If punching didn’t work once, punch harder.
What made things even more absurd was that brute force had genuinely made him famous across the Forsaken Domain.
Harry still found that magical.
He scratched his head awkwardly before asking another question with complete sincerity.
"Then won’t they be tired?"
The moment those words left his mouth, Fairy Fiona could no longer hold herself back.
A soft laugh escaped her lips.
Even Jadis nearly choked on his tea.
Several nearby cultivators turned around with strange expressions.
Leon himself wore an expression that practically screamed:
"I don’t know this person."
It was embarrassing to bring this guy around.
