A few minutes later, the large vehicle left the company. Now it’s moving towards the border. I’m curious to look toward the unsafe route.

The mafia gangs are targeting people. They could be unprotected people, but I don’t think they would target a goods vehicle.

The black-haired man’s name was Matt. He didn’t speak much earlier, but now he has started a conversation. He wanted to know about the masked man.

Seeing that, I began the conversation as well. Matt didn’t have any ill intentions. He thought the masked man was one of the visitors from another country.

The friendly conversation lasted for a few minutes. Then, Matt started giving advice.

"There are criminals active on the unsafe route. If anyone asks you, you should tell them that you are a staff member of the company as well."

"Then they will ignore you," Matt said.

Hearing that, I agreed with him because I don’t have time to waste. I needed to get to the border and find a person named Raymond.

Only he can save the little girl. But there is a feeling in my heart that I have taken on a big task. It’s not going to be easy.

2 hours later,

The flying vehicle hummed through the heart of the main city. The towering buildings, infrastructure, and spires started fading away.

The further the vehicle traveled, the fewer buildings I noticed. It showed that I had almost left the main area of the city.

Now I’m entering the dangerous route. The air route is not busy anymore; there are fewer vehicles.

There are no more government vehicles to monitor the place. A fierce wind started buffeting the vehicle.

Seeing that, I understood why they had taken a large vehicle. But strangely, I didn’t feel any change in the environment.

The mana is still dense and pure, except the concentration of earth-related mana is higher.

"System, what’s going on?" I asked myself.

[Ding! The host has entered a special place.]

[Ding! Residues of an ancient earth magic spell were found.]

The system voice sounded in my mind. My heart set off storms. No wonder the place was different. The area was not truly desolate, but it was beaming with rich earth elemental magic.

Matt had been observing the reaction of the masked man. He knew the feeling. Many visitors were stunned by this wondrous place.

He said, "It’s a special place. In ancient times, someone used this place to meditate. When the Ancient Wizard left the place, it remained like this."

Hearing that, I was not surprised. Only the Ancient Wizard could leave behind such wonders.

"You have to be careful of one more thing. The criminals here are not weak. They are strong earth elemental wizards," he said.

"I will keep that in mind," I replied.

He continued to drive the vehicle. It didn’t take long for the path to become narrower. There are no more vehicles behind or ahead of us.

We are the only ones flying in the airway. This situation surprises me. I’m observing the scene through the window.

There are no more buildings. Instead, vast empty land covers both sides of the streets. Seeing that, I’m stunned. No wonder the place is not safe.

There is no one here. Who could protect the travelers? The government is approving the work of the wizard families.

Don’t tell me the members of the families are part of the government as well. When this thought appeared in my mind, I felt a chill down my back.

I calmed my heart. The more I travel the city, the more I come to know about it.

Suddenly, Matt slowed down.

He sees two armored black flying cars ahead. They are used by one of the criminal gangs.

At the same time, I saw this scene as well. My eyes gleamed with a twinkle. I used the system to probe.

[Ding! Six Supreme wizards were detected.]

[Ding! They are hostile and greedy.]

The system voice sounded in my mind. I shifted my gaze towards Matt. He was sweating.

"What happened?" I asked.

"They are not the group we usually pay a toll to," Matt said in a trembling voice.

Hearing that, my expression hardened. Don’t tell me we are facing danger right now.

The doors opened. Four wizards exited the cars. They were wearing brown magic cloth. Their faces and heads were covered; only their eyes and noses were visible.

Matt was a Supreme Wizard himself, but he was panicking right now.

"Let’s go back. I’m not going ahead." After saying that, he turned the vehicle.

Seeing that, I was stunned.

"Wait," I uttered.

But he didn’t seem to be listening to me. The next second, I made a decision. I opened the door and rushed outside.

I stood in mid-air. Matt didn’t stop; he drove away at full speed. The four wizards turned towards me. There were two more in the driver’s seats.

"Hi, can you guys take me to the border?" I asked.

"Ha... Ha... Ha..." one of them immediately burst into laughter.

But the other three were silent. They had tried to probe the strength of the masked man and failed. They were in shock.

They couldn’t process it. They were afraid that they had met a Magic Lord.

"Yes, you can come with us," one of them said.

Hearing that, the first person’s laughter stopped. He didn’t know what was going on until someone whispered into his ear.

Only then did he show panic.

"Okay," I said.

Then I went with them. The other two in the driver’s seats were confused, then they too understood the masked man was a Magic Lord.

Swoosh!

The two armored vehicles’ engines roared. They made a sound before turning around and flying forward.

The criminals in the car were on their best behavior. They weren’t acting out; they were worried the person could use a magic spell to kill them.

Supreme wizards are no match for a Magic Lord. So, they are being very careful right now.

On the other hand, I saw through their strength. They are indeed strong, and they are earth magic wizards as well.
