Raymond Family

The outer circle elders left. They couldn't keep the news hidden for long. Maybe the higher-ups had given a special mission to the young master.

An airship was leaving the capital for Pebble City, a border city. The airship had a decent amount of people on the deck.

Among them, I was standing as one of the passengers. This time I didn't hide inside the Gregor Mansion.

I was wearing a mask. So did some other people. It was because the travel company mentioned by the cab driver was rather relaxed.

They didn't pry into the customers' details. I was looking forward to seeing old man Barry and the little girl.

A quick gleam appeared in my eyes.

I had not confronted the person. It was best to do something after reaching the mountain range.

After gaining some clarity, I sighed. The task went well. I couldn't imagine what the scenario would be at the Raymond Family.

I was doing things which were usually done by the dark faction wizards. I shook my head and pushed down these thoughts.

In the system space grid, Wizard Raymond used his family's emergency secret methods for communication. But none of them worked.

He used the device, but it was of no use at all.

Raymond had a terrible feeling. His country and family were not without enemies. There were powerful enemy families on the other side of the border.

He had personally killed a lot of soldiers using dark magic. A couple of descendants from the enemy camps had died at his hands.

So he thought his current situation was precarious.

"I have a tournament to win. I cannot be outside right now," Raymond said to himself.

Suddenly, he thought of one possibility. His eyes shone with light.

"Maybe someone used the opportunity of the tournament climate in the capital to infiltrate," he thought.

He thought this was likely what had happened. The enemy had captured him. His life was at the mercy of the enemy, and he didn't even know which enemy.

From the situation around him, Raymond thought that he was trapped in some kind of magic artifact.

An artifact which could trap a Magic Lord must be powerful. He thought the one who could operate it must be a Forbidden Wizard or an Elder Powerhouse.

But he remembered a staff member from the kitchen grabbing his hand. He thought it could be an illusion.

Raymond remained silent. He thought the person who captured him would appear soon.

Several days later, the airship reached Pebble City. On the deck, everyone cheered. It was a safe journey.

They didn't face any robbers or come across a drastic climate. The journey was rather happy.

The passengers spent most of the time outside on the deck.

On the other hand, I saw the city at a distance as well. The return journey was good and without trouble, except for the meditation.

I didn't use the Gregor Mansion for other things.

But I kept a watch on Raymond. The guy had become quiet. I think he understood his current situation.

Now that I am here, I should leave right away for the Granite Crest Mountain Range. The airship reached the city and touched down on the ground an hour later.

When everyone started to leave, I took my leave as well. I smoothly exited the city gate. There were other travelers as well.

But they were using the monster horse carriages. It reminded me of the early journey. Then I asked around before finding a carriage owner.

"I'm going to the mountain range," I said.

"Alright, I'll take you. But you have to wait. A few people from the city should be coming," the owner replied.

"No problem," I said.

Then I sat inside the carriage. This time I could enjoy the ride. A bright smile appeared on my face.

As time passed, more and more people appeared. There were those who wanted to go to the mountain range.

Soon, my carriage filled with people.

The carriage owner started driving.

The monster horses neighed before they started flying in the air. Their hooves hit the air. They were easily pulling the carriage ahead.

Beside me, the locals were seated. They were chatting and laughing. I was happily listening to the conversation as well.

Their conversation involved a lot of wisdom because they were discussing the mountain range.
