Mountain Range

I continued the journey without stopping anywhere.

Suddenly, I paused my footsteps. I landed on one of the branches of the giant shade tree. I think it’s time to meet the Young Master Raymond.

It’s time to make him listen. I surveyed the surroundings, seeing that there was no threat around me.

Swoosh!

I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion. I pondered how to deal with the Wizard Raymond. I can’t reveal my gravity magic.

There are many special wizards in this world. I don’t want the enemy to trail me. I have a mission to complete.

I have to go to the opal magic rain forest as much sooner as possible. I don’t know what dangers lie inside the forest.

I think it’s better not to waste time outside.

After gaining some clarity, I decided to use the corpse of the Magic Lord Skeleton, if necessary.

But I have another idea as well. It will provide a 100% deterrent. If I were to show the badge of the Mage Union, I’m sure he won’t have other ideas.

Even if his family knew, I doubt they would seek revenge. Even if the Raymond Family wanted revenge, then I’m already prepared.

A killing intent appeared in my eyes.

If he doesn’t show respect to the Mage Union badge, then I will use the skeleton of the Magic Lord.

That corpse was no ordinary corpse. Even if the Magic Lord Raymond was the strongest among the Magic Lords, he would still be suppressed by the skeleton.

Because that skeleton belonged to an ancient powerhouse. Though the skeleton was childlike in shape. Then I thought about the place where I got the skeleton from.

I had collected the magic lord skeleton from a remote region at the dangerous crevices on the ground.

I hope I don’t have to use the second plan.

The next second, I put on the mask. Then I asked the system to shield my presence. In that way, the enemy cannot probe my strength.

Swoosh!

The next second, I appeared at the blue grid.

A white-haired, middle-aged man was sitting in the middle of the blue grid. The next second, he snapped open his eyes.

He saw a masked man walking up to him. When he tried to probe, his senses were blocked. So, he didn’t know the strength of the person.

He is a powerful Magic Lord. To think that he cannot see through the person, his expression condensed.

He was right. He assumed the masked man was a Forbidden Wizard. So, he didn’t resort to a spell attack. Because he was aware that he was trapped here.

If he angered him, the masked man could kill him here.

"Who are you?"

"What do you want?" Raymond asked.

He wanted to know which power was behind this. If it was the actions of the neighboring nations, he would definitely pay them back tenfold.

His eyes gleamed with a fiery glint.

"I have gone to such lengths to capture you. It’s to save someone," I said to him.

Hearing that, Raymond was stunned. He didn’t expect to hear such an answer. He was expecting something else.

"Decades ago, my family member was saved by tribal people living at the mountain base. I had a chance to visit the place recently."

"But all I saw was death and destruction." After saying that, I paused.

Thunderclap!

Hearing that, Raymond felt as if a thunderclap struck his head. Of all the places he could think of, he didn’t include the mountain range.

He didn’t expect the family’s mission would end in disaster.

Raymond’s eyes turned cold.

"You have no idea about my family background," Raymond threatened.

"Ha... Ha... Ha..." Hearing that, I let out a laugh.

Raymond was stunned. He didn’t expect the masked man to remain unaffected.

"I know your nation has Elder-Level Wizard Families. But I’m not afraid of your country. Not only your country, but other major forces in the world," I said to him.

Raymond’s heart was stirred. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

"You are bluffing?" he uttered.

"I’m being serious." After saying that, I showed the Mage Union badge. It had towering pillars.

Raymond’s gaze fell on the badge. Especially when he saw the towering pillars, the next second, he collapsed on the floor. He lost strength in his legs.

His eyes were filled with fear, his whole body trembling. He was not stupid. He knew about the major forces in the world.

As a member of an Elder-Level Wizard Family, he knew about the Mage Union. They were the overlords. He didn’t expect to see someone from that place.

It’s very rare to see someone from that place walk outside. Now he understood why he was easily abducted. Only someone from that force could do it.

His earlier anger dissipated. He knew no one could help him. Even his own family won’t help him. If the person wanted him dead, then he would die for sure.

But why capture him? He thought there must be a reason behind it.

"What do you want from me?" he asked.

"Good. I want you to heal those who were poisoned by your dark magic. I don’t have time. Otherwise, I would have gone back to my place," I said to him.

Hearing that, Raymond’s eyes flashed with understanding.

"No wonder," he muttered.

Raymond was not stupid enough to offend this person.

"I will help. But I want you to spare my life," he asked.

I took a moment before saying, "I can do that. I just hope your family won’t set eyes on the mountain range."

Raymond nodded his head.

Swoosh!

The next second, I appeared outside and resumed the journey.

It didn’t take me long to reach the stone house. A series of stone house buildings came into view.

Seeing that, my eyes gleamed with a twinkle. I don’t know whether the old man Barry is here or not. I’m sure he won’t leave behind his descendants.

I’m sure he must be waiting for me here.

When I returned to the same stone house, I spotted old man Barry standing outside the house. I could see the little girl lying on the bed.

A hint of relief flashed in my eyes. My efforts were not wasted.
