I followed him and reached another secret room. It had a metal door. But there was an elder sitting cross-legged in front of the door.

Sam Patrick stopped me from going further. Seeing that, I followed his gaze and saw the old man.

The old man looked simple. But my instincts told me otherwise. Then, I used the system probe function.

The system results shocked me. The old man’s magic had to do with restrictions. But he could make those restrictions invisible.

There were magic restrictions around him and the door. If I had stepped inside unknowingly, then the restrictions would have been triggered.

A cold sweat appeared on my forehead. The restrictions had the power to hurt me. They could especially hurt a Magic Lord and a Forbidden Wizard.

Apart from them, who would dare to loot a wizard family? The restrictions were set to target them.

Sam Patrick sighed in relief as well. He was worried that the Elder might trigger the restrictions.

At this time, the old man who was sitting cross-legged opened his eyes. He saw two people in front of him. He was surprised.

He recognized Sam Patrick, but he didn’t recognize the masked man. When he tried to probe, his senses were blocked.

Before he could say something, Sam Patrick spoke.

"Elder, the masked man is our guest. Father has decided to reward him for saving my life twice. He has decided to let him access the treasury."

"He was allowed to pick one treasure," he said.

The old man was shocked. He trusted Sam Patrick’s words. So, he didn’t ask further questions.

He stood up and removed his restrictions first. Then, he entered the code to open the door.

On the other hand, I found that once the restrictions were removed, the door looked like a modern door with passcode access. My mouth twitched.

I literally thought it was a magic door.

The door opened. The next second, the old man asked me to enter inside.

Seeing that, I nodded to him and walked inside. Sam Patrick stood behind. He was worried whether any treasure would attract the eyes of Lord Masked Man.

On the other hand, I came across antique jewels and precious stones. There were magic artifacts placed inside boxes.

I started to walk around. Otherwise, it would raise suspicion. I was going to use the system probe function to find a unique treasure.

"System, find me a good treasure," I asked the system.

[Ding! A half-damaged magic artifact of unknown grade was detected.]

[Ding! It’s a blue pearl. The artifact is half-damaged. The remaining function is important and useful.]

[Ding! The host can use the blue pearl to breathe underwater for an hour.]

The system voice sounded in my mind. The results completely stirred my heart. I had never thought there would be a unique magic artifact here.

Talking about living artifacts, I didn’t know whether the inventory had any. I used the system function again.

The system results came out clear. There were no such items here. Finally, I stood in front of the blue pearl and continued to stare at the piece.

It was noticed by the old man. He was surprised. He knew the power of the half-damaged pearl. Wizards could use it to breathe underwater.

It was really not helpful to them. Because most of them used water magic, they could use their own spells to breathe underwater.

After appreciating the blue pearl, I turned towards the old man.

I said, "I need this one."

Hearing that, the old man was surprised. Then, he entered the room and removed the restrictions. He took the blue pearl out of the glass container.

It was seen by Sam Patrick. He entered the room. He hadn’t had many opportunities before. It had been a decade since he last entered the treasury room.

Back then, he had won the wizard competition. His father had allowed him to select one treasure from it.

He didn’t expect to visit the place again. He then walked up to them. He saw the blue pearl as well.

He recognized the blue pearl and his eyes gleamed with a twinkle.

"Why did you choose it?" the old man asked.

He asked out of curiosity. He intended no malice.

"I’m going to take a journey across the seas. I think the blue pearl will help me," I replied honestly.

The old man was stunned. He turned towards Sam Patrick, who nodded his head.

"It’s true, he is going to travel on a ship of the Montex Shipping Company," Sam said.

The old man sighed and said, "Then you are fortunate. You can use the blue pearl to breathe underwater."

Sam Patrick said, "Lord, you have picked the right treasure. Each and every year, the traveling ships are attacked by sea monsters."

"Some of them had met with accidents and sank in the deep seas. Only a few of them are able to cross the seas. That’s why they charge an enormous price. But it was different in your case."

"They needed your help and offered free tickets," Sam added.

"Then thank you for the reward," I said.

The old man handed over the blue pearl to me. I put it away inside my storage bracelet. Then, I thanked the old man and walked out with Sam Patrick.

The old man was stunned. He once again tried to see through the strength of the masked man. But he failed. He thought that the masked man was no ordinary person.

He had a feeling that the masked man knew about the blue pearl even before their explanation.

The feeling was absurd, but he cannot deny it. He decided to inform the family head not to offend this person.
