Chapter 1958: Part 1: Gold City Auction

Gold City

I left the hotel the next morning. The next second, the system started giving me a series of notifications. The stalkers had never left the place.

I snorted in my heart. Then I found a cab driver and asked him to drop me at the auction house. The cab driver was delighted. He knew today was a big day.

Many wizards from various places had come here. Because of it, the cab drivers were earning better.

He started the car. The car then moved into mid-air before going towards the auction house. The stalkers behind were surprised. They had thought the masked man would be scared or do something else.

But they didn’t expect the masked man to ignore them completely. They were enraged. But they couldn’t boldly attack here. Still, they made a decision to follow me.

They couldn’t take the golden ticket. But if I bid for anything else, then they could target me with a reason. They didn’t want to lose anything.

20 minutes later,

The cab driver dropped me in front of the auction house. The crowd management was done by the auction house people. Those without tickets couldn’t enter the premises.

After paying the fare to the driver, I walked up to the auction house. There were guards outside. I took my purple ticket out and showed it to them.

The guards verified the ticket before allowing me to enter inside. I walked into the auction house. The next second, my gaze fell on the wizards sitting in the rows of seats.

They were on the ground floor. There were two floors above them. I saw there were seats on the second floor and private rooms on the third floor.

Suddenly, a staff member came to help me. He asked for the ticket. Then I showed him the purple ticket. The staff member took a look at the ticket.

He then guided me toward my seat. When I arrived at the place, I saw my seat was the last seat of the last row. I sat down in the seat.

There were wizards sitting on my left side. Most of them had their faces covered. My gaze swept across the place. There were approximately 200 seats here.

The second floor might have 50 seats to sit in. Finally, there were 20 private rooms. My eyes gleamed with a twinkle. It took me back down memory lane.

The auction setup here was not worse than the Magic City.

I then used the system to check the auction house. I wanted to know whether the Elder Level Powerhouses were here or not.

[Ding! No Elder Powerhouse was detected.]

The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, my eyes flashed with a glint. Maybe the important people had yet to come.

It didn’t take long for the second-floor seats to get filled. Wizards in expensive clothes had come. I spotted familiar faces.

They had entered the city at the same time. My gaze then fell on the third floor. The third floor was mysterious. It was for the most important people.

Time passed,

It didn’t take long for all the seats to get filled.

[Ding! Forbidden Wizards were detected on the 3rd floor.]

The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I understood that guests had come to the third floor. I just hoped that Elder Level Powers were not here.

It didn’t take long for the curtains to be removed. Then a middle-aged man stepped forward. He was the auctioneer. He accepts the bids and sells the items to the highest bidder.

The middle-aged man swept his gaze across the people.

"My name is Martin. I’m the auctioneer for today’s auction," the middle-aged man said in a serious tone.

Hearing that, the guests clapped. When the clapping ended,

Martin said, "The first item is a 10th Grade Magic Artifact."

Gasp!

Hearing that, an exclamation occurred. A few staff members came out with a wooden box. They placed the wooden box on the table.

Under the gaze of everyone, Martin removed the cloth covering it.

The next second, a golden-colored sword came into view. The blade was black in color, but the guard was golden.

The sword Artifact attracted everyone’s attention. For those on the third floor and second floor, the 10th Grade Magic Artifact was ordinary.

Only the Wizards on the first floor were gasping in surprise.

Because for them, the 10th Grade was a rare Artifact.

Martin said, "The base price of the 10th Grade Artifact is 200 Mid Grade Mana Stones."

"The bidding will increase by 50 mid-grade mana stones," he added.

Hearing that, a few wizards started bidding. Mostly, the people from the first floor were bidding for the item.

It didn’t take long for the bidding to increase to 500 Mid Grade Mana Stones. This price was high for a 10th Grade Artifact.

Yet, some people wanted to bid just for the sake of face.

Finally, the bidding stopped at 800 Mid Grade Mana Stones.

Martin smiled and said, "Seat no. 25 has bid for the item successfully for 800 Mid Grade Mana Stones."

"The 10th Grade Sword Artifact belongs to seat no. 25," Martin added.

Gasp!

Another exclamation sounded. No one expected the bidding for the 10th Grade Sword Artifact to reach 800 Mid Grade Mana Stones.

On the other hand, my mouth twitched. The Chaotic Land was filled with rich resources, but the forces here were divided and disorganized.

The staff then came to the stage to take back the Artifact.

Martin then said, "The next auction item is a secret map. The map leads to the base of the ancient Supreme Wizard. The Supreme Wizard was known for strong wood element magic."

Gasp!

Hearing that, a loud exclamation occurred again. This time, the auction item drew a bigger reaction from the crowd.

The secret map made everyone go crazy. They couldn’t wait to hear the bidding price.

Martin then said, "The base price is 400 Mid Grade Mana Stones."

Gasp!

Another loud exclamation sounded. The base price was higher than I thought. I noticed many people wanted to bid as well. Unfortunately, I’m not a five-element wizard.
