He glanced around.

Based on the circumstances, the one who caused the Giant Dragon to fall here was most likely an incredibly powerful Mage.

A long time ago, a Mage hunted down a Giant Dragon and killed it at Dragon Fall Slope.

The Giant Dragon fell onto the slope, smashing a huge crater into the ground.

Within the Secret Realm, he laid down a No-Fly Array and a massive hidden Barrier to hide the Giant Dragon’s corpse.

This was the sequence of events Li Wei pieced together.

Li Wei peered into the cave.

It was obvious what lay within the cave.

The corpse of a Giant Dragon.

Li Wei ignited a Fireball to light the path ahead.

He advanced alone.

Under the immense pressure from the Dragon Race, the Shadow Attendant could no longer maintain its normal form.

Li Wei recalled it to its core.

After walking for a while, the passage suddenly opened up before him.

A huge cavern appeared before his eyes.

A Giant Dragon the size of a small mountain lay sprawled on the ground.

The Giant Dragon’s eyes were tightly shut, and there were large holes in its head and chest.

Its Dragon Crystal and heart had both been taken.

Eighteen massive Obsidian Rock Nails, each six to seven meters long, pinned the Giant Dragon’s corpse to the ground.

Dragon Blood flowed from the wound where its heart had been gouged out, forming a lake on the ground.

Though it was impossible to tell how long the Giant Dragon had been dead, the lake of its blood still gave off steam.

Looking at the Giant Dragon before him, Li Wei felt as if it were still alive.

’Is this a Red Dragon?’

Li Wei deduced the dragon’s race from the vibrant red Scales covering its body.

’No wonder I gained a trace of the Dragon’s Flame’s Power after eating the Dragon Blood Fruit.’

Li Wei tried to pry a Scale off the Giant Dragon’s body.

He found it wouldn’t budge.

A mountain of treasure lay before him, yet Li Wei could do nothing.

He looked toward the lake of Dragon Blood.

’This might be the only thing I can take with me.’

Li Wei took a container from his Spatial Ring, intending to collect some Dragon Blood to take with him.

After the container scooped up the Dragon Blood, its Power rapidly dissipated, and it soon became a foul-smelling pool of black blood.

Li Wei was astonished.

’What’s going on?’

He poured out the black blood.

He looked at the ground and discovered that the entire cavern was covered in countless Magic Runes.

It was these Magic Runes that had kept the Giant Dragon’s corpse from decaying for hundreds of years.

They also kept the Dragon Blood as potent as it was hundreds of years ago.

Once removed from the protection of these Magic Runes, the Dragon Blood seemed to experience centuries of time in an instant, immediately becoming putrid and rotten.

The Power of the Dragon Blood was locked within the Magic Runes.

CRACK!

The container he had just used to hold the Dragon Blood shattered.

The power of the corrupted Dragon Blood was equally astonishing.

Li Wei hastily threw away the remains of the container and looked at the Dragon Blood Pool.

He realized that nothing here could be taken away.

Not unless he could move the entire cavern.

This seemed to have been the original intention of the Mage who hid the Giant Dragon’s corpse here.

It was all to prevent others from stealing the Giant Dragon’s corpse.

Li Wei looked down at the pool.

His only choice now was to absorb the Power within the Dragon Blood on the spot.

The Dragon Blood was so scorching hot that a piece of wood tossed into it would burst into flames.

His right arm transformed into a flaming Dragon Claw, which he slowly lowered into the Dragon Blood.

His Elementalized right arm couldn’t feel the high temperature of the Dragon Blood.

In fact, to Li Wei, it felt as comfortable as soaking in a hot bath.

"Argh!"

He suddenly felt something boring into his arm, making him cry out in pain.

The moment he cried out, he felt even more of whatever it was burrowing into his arm.

Li Wei fought the urge to pull his arm out.

The sensation was extremely unpleasant, as if countless Parasites were breaking through his skin and burrowing into his flesh.

He knew, however, that these were not Parasites.

What was entering him was the remnant Power from the Dragon Blood.

After hundreds of years, even with the protection of the Magic Runes, most of the Power in the Dragon Blood had already dissipated.

The lush scenery within the Secret Realm had been nourished by this leaking Power.

But even with less than one percent of the original Power remaining, it was still far more than Li Wei could easily absorb.

If he hadn’t eaten the Dragon Blood Fruit earlier, strengthening his physique and adapting in advance to the Dragon Blood’s enhancement, he likely would have exploded by now.

Even so, he felt he was about to lose control of the berserk Power raging within him.

"Enough!"

Li Wei tried to pull his arm out and end the process.

However, a force erupted from the Dragon Blood Pool, holding his arm firmly in place.

Not only that, but the more he struggled, the stronger the force from the Dragon Blood Pool grew.

Li Wei was yanked by a tremendous force and plunged headfirst into the Dragon Blood Pool.

In that instant, he thought he was done for.

He couldn’t perform a full-body Elementalization yet. Plunging into Dragon Blood that was hundreds of degrees hot would surely boil him to death.

The next moment, he discovered the temperature of the Dragon Blood Pool had dropped.

It was still scorching, but at least he wouldn’t be boiled to death.

But the Power inside him was growing more violent, threatening to spiral out of control at any moment.

The slightest mistake would cause his body to explode.

At this critical moment, Li Wei had a flash of inspiration and quickly performed the advancement ritual: the Fire Spirit Ceremony.

He had no intention of actually completing the ritual.

He merely wanted to use it as a way to burn off the excess Power in his body.

Instead, Li Wei found himself in a pitch-black space.

A flame suddenly flared to life, illuminating the space.

Li Wei instinctively looked up to see a colossal, burning Fire Dragon Head appear before him.

It was at least a hundred meters in diameter.

The Fire Dragon Head looked down upon Li Wei, its majestic Dragon Eyes reflecting his figure.

"Human."

Li Wei felt his mind reel, as if his very soul were about to be shattered.

It was a long time before he recovered his senses.

The Fire Dragon Head did not seem to be targeting him.

It even seemed to be deliberately giving him time to recover.

Li Wei gazed at the massive dragon head, hesitated for a moment, and asked, "Are you the Giant Dragon that died?"

"I am not yet dead,"

the Fire Dragon Head said.

This time, its voice was much quieter.

To Li Wei, however, it was still as loud as thunder, making his eardrums ache with pain.

Li Wei had no time to worry about his throbbing head; he stared at the Fire Dragon Head in utter shock.

He was utterly shocked by what it had said.
