The Array Master sneered.

Li Wei watched him, unmoved.

He hadn’t noticed anything out of the ordinary.

A thought struck Li Wei, and he glanced at a man in the distance.

"What? You made a mistake and you don’t even have the guts to admit it?" the Array Master jabbered incessantly.

Even El couldn’t stand it any longer. He quickly interjected, "Stop arguing! Let’s focus on solving the problem first."

"This Holy Light Stone is definitely unusable. We’ll have to replace it and inscribe the Magic Array all over again."

The Array Master’s expression soured. He said, "The Beastman slaves who built the altar are gone. Who’s going to do it?"

As he spoke, his gaze drifted to Li Wei.

Li Wei looked at him and said calmly, "I will handle it."

Using his Object Control Skill, he reached out and took hold of the shattered Holy Light Stone.

He pulled the stone from the altar.

Everyone stared in astonishment.

El’s face was full of wonder. "What kind of Magic is that?"

"That blue glow... could it be Mage’s Hand?"

"But Mage’s Hand doesn’t look like that."

Li Wei used his Object Control Skill to reshape the stone, making it a perfect fit for the gap before setting it back in place.

It was as good as new.

Everyone was completely stunned.

Even the Array Master was shocked by the sight. He stared at Li Wei, at a loss for words.

He felt a little sheepish.

Just moments ago, he had called Li Wei trash—a Mage with talent but no real skill.

He never thought he’d be proven wrong so spectacularly.

He couldn’t help but wonder, ’Could there really have been a problem with the Magic Array I inscribed?’

Given the level of Control Power Li Wei had just demonstrated, the chance that his error caused the Magic Array to collapse was incredibly small.

Without another word, the Array Master lowered his head and began inscribing the new Magic Array.

The Array Master looked surprised.

He looked at Li Wei, wanting to say something, but not knowing what to say.

Finally, he just nodded and said, "Alright."

Working together, the two of them successfully activated the Magic Array.

Everything went smoothly.

Li Wei and the Array Master met each other’s gaze and smiled.

The tension between them dissolved.

"Hello, my name is Melvin."

"I’m really sorry about earlier. Perhaps there really was a flaw in the Magic Array I inscribed. My apologies."

Melvin said to Li Wei, looking rather sheepish.

Li Wei shook his hand and said, "It wasn’t your fault. The Magic Array was fine. When I was activating it, someone tampered with it, which is why it collapsed."

Melvin froze for a moment, a look of surprise on his face.

"Who was it? How dare they do such a thing?"

He grew angry.

After all, he had been the one to wrongly accuse Li Wei.

He was already in the wrong.

Now that he knew someone had been pulling strings behind the scenes, Melvin naturally directed all his anger toward the culprit.

Li Wei shook his head. "I’m not sure yet."

Melvin said anxiously, "Then what should we do? What if he destroys the Magic Arrays we’ve already inscribed? All our work will be for nothing."

Li Wei said, "Don’t worry. You just focus on your work. Someone will take care of it."

Seeing his confidence, Melvin could only nod. "Alright."

Melvin went back to inscribing the Magic Arrays.

Li Wei glanced at the man from earlier and saw that he was quite close to a few others.

Although he knew that man was the one who had interfered, he had no proof.

The saboteur’s methods were so subtle that anyone else would have been left wondering whether they had made a mistake or if the Magic Array itself was flawed.

Only Li Wei, with his absolute confidence in his own Control Power, had no reason to doubt himself.

His successful activation of the next few Magic Arrays proved his point.

His Control Power was so immense that losing control was simply not a possibility.

Even if a Magic Array had minor flaws, he could use his formidable Control Power to compensate for them and activate it successfully.

After his one attempt to frame Li Wei, the man didn’t try anything else.

Perhaps he was afraid of being discovered.

Or maybe he realized this method wouldn’t work on Li Wei and decided to think of a new plan.

By the second night, most of the Magic Arrays were complete.

They should be able to finish inscribing all the Magic Arrays by the next afternoon, then connect them to complete their task.

Everyone was resting in their tents.

RUSTLE RUSTLE.

A tent rustled for a moment, then a figure slipped out silently.

"What are you doing?"

A patrolling Mage spotted the figure and called out sharply.

"Nature calls. Just came out to take a leak."

"Go do it over there, not here."

The patrolling Mage watched the man for a moment. Seeing that he really was just relieving himself and not doing anything suspicious, the Mage turned and walked away.

The man strolled once around the altar, appearing as if he were just on a casual walk, doing nothing out of the ordinary.

He didn’t know, however, that a figure was already watching everything from the sky above.

After completing his circuit, the man returned to his tent.

The next day, everyone resumed their work.

Everything went smoothly until the afternoon.

El smiled at Li Wei. "We’ve been lucky. No one’s come to make trouble."

Li Wei smiled, but didn’t say anything.

That afternoon, with all the Magic Arrays inscribed, they began the final step: linking them together.

This would integrate the individual arrays into a single, massive Magic Array.

The massive Magic Array would envelop the entire altar, providing it with the strongest possible protection.

Even a Tier Four Mage would find it difficult to destroy the altar.

Everyone was tense. This was the final moment.

Once this step was complete, their work would be finished.

Just as they were linking the arrays, black smoke suddenly billowed from the altar. Large sections of the Magic Arrays began to show signs of collapse.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The Magic Arrays exploded one after another.

Everyone was rooted to the spot, completely dumbfounded.

They couldn’t believe that three days of hard work had all gone to waste at the final hurdle.

While everyone else looked devastated, a faint smile touched the eyes of a few individuals.

"We succeeded."

CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!

"Congratulations. So this was your plan all along?"

Li Wei said, clapping as he watched the small group.

Hearing his voice, the man whipped his head around to look at Li Wei, his expression one of pure shock.

Once he recovered, he let out a loud laugh. "Hahaha! I’ve already succeeded! So what if you found out?"

"Where are you going to find more Holy Light Stones?"

"I’ve made my inquiries over the past few days. Building this altar used up every last one of your Holy Light Stones."

Li Wei nodded. "You’re right, and you’re wrong."

"I can rebuild this altar as many times as I want. How many more times would you like to blow it up?"

He snapped his fingers.

The altar, which had been destroyed in the explosion, was instantly restored.

The other people around them also began to vanish.

The man was utterly shocked. He staggered backward.

His face was a mask of horror and disbelief.

"What... What is this?"

Li Wei smiled.
