Even Cohen, who had always targeted Li Wei, acknowledged his accomplishment.

No one else had any objections either.

Seeing this, Fang Lide said, "Then let’s build a prototype."

Cohen nodded. "No problem. We can have it ready tonight at the latest. It’s just..."

He trailed off, hesitating.

Fang Lide looked at him and asked, "Just what? If you have a request, spit it out."

Cohen took a deep breath. "It’s just... we’ll need Mage Li Wei’s help. The Magic Array Map he provided isn’t mature enough. We need to modify it."

He had looked down on Li Wei before, thinking the man was just there to leech credit.

And now, here he was, asking for Li Wei’s help. He could feel his face flush with embarrassment.

Fang Lide smiled. "Of course, that’s no problem."

He turned to look at Li Wei. "What do you think?"

Li Wei nodded. "I have no problem with that. You can ask me about anything you’re unsure of."

Fang Lide waved his hand grandly. "Alright, everyone get to work. Let’s aim to have a finished product by the end of the day."

"It needs to go into mass production tomorrow. We must produce the Radiant Magic Cannons before the Undead Army reaches the Elemental Tower."

Fang Lide had set the final deadline.

An air of urgency fell over the group as everyone began their work.

Cohen and a few others took Li Wei’s draft of the Magic Array and quickly began their calculations, drawing up a new one.

When Li Wei drew the Magic Array, he simply put down whatever came to mind.

He paid no mind to whether it was practical to implement.

His Magic Array Map was a purely theoretical creation.

Cohen and the others, on the other hand, had to figure out what materials could even withstand such a complex Magic Array.

They also had to minimize material costs, reduce the Magic Energy consumption of the array’s circuits, and optimize its pathways and nodes...

It was an extremely complex task.

Li Wei stood to the side, watching the others modify his Magic Array Map. Whenever there was something he didn’t understand, he would ask.

And the others were more than happy to answer his questions.

Before, this would have been completely unthinkable.

Occasionally, someone would ask Li Wei a question in return. His Magic Array Map was a product of wild, unconstrained imagination.

Many of the Mana Circuits and Mana Nodes were baffling, leaving them feeling like they half-understood and half-didn’t.

’What exactly is this for?’

’Can we cut it?’

Only after asking Li Wei could they decide whether to delete a component, modify it, or keep it as it was.

For the entire day, Li Wei remained in the Hall of Truth, feverishly working with the others to research the Radiant Magic Cannon.

Soon, the team had erased the Magic Array on the prototype and engraved the brand-new "four-in-one" Magic Array.

They replaced the Sunshine Core with a Radiant Stone.

The Radiant Stone was very similar to a radiant sample Li Wei had once obtained.

However, the Radiant Stone was far more stable.

It was a byproduct of the Sunshine Research Room, in a way.

Radiant Stone was effective against the Undead, and objects built with it could repel them.

The buildings of the Elemental Tower’s forward outpost on the Ancient Battlefield were constructed with a mixture that included Radiant Stone.

Due to the influence of the Radiant Stone, Undead Creatures typically wouldn’t approach the forward outpost.

At 8:30 PM, the incredibly complex "four-in-one" Magic Array was finally engraved.

The final version of the Magic Array was far more complex than what Li Wei had originally conceived.

Fortunately, there was a Master Level expert proficient in Magic Arrays on the team.

A Tier Six Array Master.

He was one of the top Array Masters in the entire Elemental Tower.

Otherwise, engraving such a complex Magic Array onto the Magic Cannon would have been impossible without several days’ work.

In a laboratory within the Magic Hall.

The Magic Cannon, over two meters long, was secured to the floor.

Cohen loaded the Magic Cannon with Magic Stones.

Everyone else stood at a great distance, keeping well away.

It was Li Wei’s first time seeing a Magic Cannon test-fired, and his face was full of curiosity.

He asked, puzzled, "Why is everyone standing so far away? And why does Cohen have his Magic Shield active?" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Lux replied, "They’re afraid the Magic Cannon might explode. There was an accident once before."

It dawned on Li Wei. ’So they’re afraid it’s going to explode.’

All eyes were fixed nervously on Cohen.

Cohen himself was incredibly tense, his heart pounding.

He activated the Magic Cannon, aiming it at the target to fire a Magic Beam.

As the Magic Array on the cannon gradually lit up, an intense Magic Fluctuation emanated from its muzzle.

Li Wei could sense a tremendous Power gathering.

It was at least equivalent to a Tier Five Magic spell.

He was surprised. ’I didn’t expect the Magic Cannon’s power to be so incredible.’

’No wonder everyone’s afraid of it exploding. A blast would be like an indiscriminate Tier Five Magic spell going off.’

Fortunately, the Magic Cannon operated normally.

WHOOSH!

A blinding white beam shot out, striking the distant target made from the bones of a Tier Five Undead.

In an instant, the incredibly sturdy bones of the Tier Five Undead were pierced through by the Radiant Magic Cannon.

Immediately followed by a violent explosion.

A brilliant white light erupted, and everyone reflexively shut their eyes.

When the light dissipated and they opened their eyes again, they saw the shattered bones on the ground burning with platinum-gold flames.

A large crater had been melted into the wall behind the target.

The Magic Hall itself was gradually repairing the damaged wall.

Seeing this, everyone cried out in elation.

"It’s a success! It’s a success!"

"Li Wei, you’re incredible!"

"Wait, what are you guys doing?"

"Agh, put me down!"

Li Wei was lifted up by the crowd and tossed into the air.

After being tossed up and down a few times, they finally let him down.

Cohen rubbed his wrist. "You’re heavier than you look. I nearly twisted my wrist."

Li Wei was speechless. "I told you to put me down, but you just kept tossing me."

Someone next to him clapped Li Wei on the shoulder, laughing. "Alright, don’t sweat the small stuff."

"The modification was a success! This is a huge accomplishment."

"Now the Elemental Tower can manufacture at least two hundred Radiant Magic Cannons."

"Let’s go celebrate!"

The Array Master said with a pained expression, "Celebrate what? It’s easy for you guys to say, but you’re killing me!"

"The Magic Array is several times more complex now. I still have to figure out how to create a template for the Magic Array Map. If it needs to be submitted tomorrow, I’m looking at an all-nighter."

"Old Ye, that’s what they call ’to the able, more work.’ Don’t worry, we’ll all be cheering you on."

"Get lost!"

"You got it!"

The group reported their success to Fang Lide.

Fang Lide was overjoyed, and he encouraged the group, saying, "You all did very well, exceeding my expectations. A job well done."

"But we can’t let our guard down. We’ll have to postpone the celebrations for now. We still have a major hurdle to overcome."

"The day after tomorrow at the latest, an Undead Army millions strong will arrive at the Elemental Tower."

"We must produce a sufficient number of Radiant Magic Cannons before then if they’re to play a decisive role in the battle."

"So, I must ask you all to persevere for a while longer."

"Once this is all over, I’ll treat everyone to a great meal."

"Hooray! Boss, you’d better keep your word! You can’t go back on it later!"

"When have I ever gone back on my word?" Fang Lide said with a chuckle.
