Li Wei followed in Savinia’s footsteps to the edge of an alley, only to find it was a dead end.

Savinia’s figure had vanished.

Li Wei went inside and searched the area, guessing there might be a hidden mechanism.

Li Wei gave a casual scan with his Spiritual Power and found that all the nearby buildings were constructed with materials that blocked it.

Although he was curious about what Savinia was up to, the more important matter now was acquiring the Radiant Magic Cannon from the Hall of Truth.

Li Wei hurried toward the Hall of Truth.

During the war, there were few Mages left in the Hall of Truth.

Most had gone to support the front lines.

Hobbes was nowhere to be seen either.

Fortunately, Li Wei already had authorization from the Hall of Truth to freely enter and exit most of the research labs in the Magic Hall.

Li Wei arrived at the research lab for the Sunshine Magic Cannon.

"Li Wei, what are you doing here?"

Cohen heard the footsteps, turned to see Li Wei, and looked a little surprised and startled.

Li Wei was even more surprised. "Cohen, why are you still here?"

Cohen explained, "Some of the Radiant Magic Cannon parameters on the gun platforms are off. I came back to grab the experimental data to make adjustments."

Li Wei nodded and said, "I need to take the Radiant Magic Cannon from the lab."

Cohen asked curiously, "What do you need that for?"

Li Wei said, "To destroy the Bone Bridge."

"But the Magic Cannon needs to be mounted on a platform to be used, and there are no platforms on the surface of the Floating City," Cohen said.

From the start of the design, the platform locations were all fixed to the lower part of the Floating City.

They were mainly for targeting enemies on the ground.

Aerial enemies were handled by the small, medium, and large Mage Towers built within the Floating City.

Therefore, no platforms had ever been built on the Floating City’s surface.

Li Wei said, "It can be used even without a platform."

Cohen shook his head. "Suit yourself. The Radiant Magic Cannon is in the equipment room. Go get it."

Li Wei went to the equipment room and placed the Radiant Magic Cannon, which was over two meters long and thicker than a thigh, into his Spatial Ring.

The entire Radiant Magic Cannon weighed several hundred pounds.

And that didn’t even include the weight of the platform.

When Li Wei came out, Cohen was already gone.

Just as he stepped out of the main gate of the Hall of Truth, the entire Elemental Tower began to shake violently.

It was as if someone had cast an earthquake spell inside the Elemental Tower.

The ground of the Elemental Tower trembled violently.

Li Wei nearly fell.

He looked around, startled and confused. "What’s happening?"

Diana steadied Li Wei and shook her head. "I don’t know. The tremors seem to be coming from over there."

Li Wei turned his head to look in the direction Diana was pointing.

A cloud of black smoke was rising from that direction.

A moment later, with a deafening BOOM, a violent explosion occurred.

Rubble flew everywhere.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Diana shielded Li Wei, blocking the flying debris for him.

"Get out of here!"

Li Wei heard a voice coming from the explosion.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

Heavy footsteps sounded, and he saw a tall figure run out of the smoke.

Suddenly, the figure glanced back at Li Wei.

Even from hundreds of meters away, Li Wei could still feel the intensity of the other’s gaze.

A sensation came from his Golden Bone Ring.

Li Wei sensed that the few auras that had appeared ahead were all Undead.

"Who is he?"

Arno’s voice rumbled, deep and muffled.

Savinia was sitting on Arno’s shoulder, gripping one of his horns to keep from being thrown off.

She followed Arno’s gaze and saw Li Wei.

"Don’t worry about him. Let’s go."

THUD! THUD! THUD!

At Savinia’s urging, Arno, carrying Mephit, quickly ran off into the distance.

Li Wei saw Savinia.

After a moment’s hesitation, he decided not to give chase.

Savinia’s power was unknown, but she was at least a Tier Six Undead.

Right now, there were at least four Undead over there.

’If I go over there, I won’t gain any advantage.’

"Jailbreak! Some Undead broke out!"

"After them!"

A moment later, a group of people ran out of the Mage Tower, shouting as they chased after the fleeing Arno, Savinia, and the others.

Seeing this, Li Wei understood what Savinia was doing.

Savinia had told him before that several of her companions were trapped in the Elemental Tower’s cells.

Ignoring all that, Li Wei returned to the front lines with the Radiant Magic Cannon.

The situation at the front was grim.

Three Bone Bridges were continuously sending Skeleton Monsters onto the Floating City.

In the blink of an eye, the edge of the Floating City was already crammed with countless Skeleton Monsters, packed in so tightly there wasn’t an inch to spare.

Even more Skeleton Monsters were pushing their way up.

A single carelessly cast spell could smash a whole swath of Skeleton Monsters.

But even when hundreds or thousands of Skeleton Monsters were killed, the gap would be filled in an instant.

There were just too many Skeleton Monsters.

As the battle wore on, more and more Mages exhausted their Mana, and the firepower weakened further.

The Elemental Tower had already activated its Defense Barrier, keeping the Skeleton Monsters out.

The one-way Magic Barrier ensured that outgoing attacks would not be affected.

When Li Wei arrived, the Skeleton Monsters outside the Magic Barrier were already piled five or six meters high.

Layer upon layer of them created an extremely oppressive sight.

Li Wei took out the Radiant Magic Cannon.

He poured his Mana into the Radiant Magic Cannon.

Swarms of Skeleton Monsters fell.

The commotion immediately drew the attention of many people.

Everyone turned to look, their jaws dropping at the sight of the thick Magic Cannon cradled in Li Wei’s hands.

"Holy shit! A handheld Magic Cannon?"

"That... That’s insane!"

"Buddy, are you really a Mage? How can you even lift something that heavy?"

"Unbelievable! This is absolutely unbelievable! It’s the first time I’ve ever seen someone wield a Magic Cannon by hand."

"But... isn’t the cannon’s power a bit weak?"

"Of course it is, you idiot! A Magic Cannon needs a huge amount of Magic Energy. How could one person possibly power it?"

"I’ll help!"

"I’ll help too."

"If you need it, I can contribute some of my Power."

Hearing this, Li Wei turned and shouted, "I need everyone’s Power! The more, the better!"

"This is a Radiant Magic Cannon designed specifically to counter the Undead. It can destroy the Bone Bridge."

As soon as he said this, everyone’s eyes lit up.

The crowd rose and walked toward Li Wei, each contributing a share of their Power.

Now fully charged with everyone’s Mana, the Radiant Magic Cannon unleashed its true power.

A single blast pierced through the Bone Bridge.

Under Li Wei’s control, the Radiant Beam swept across, severing the Bone Bridge.

After slicing back and forth several times, the massive Bone Bridge broke into four or five pieces and collapsed completely.

Li Wei set down the overheating Radiant Magic Cannon.

The crowd behind him collapsed from exhaustion, feeling as if every last drop of their Mana had been drained.

"I can’t... I’m completely drained. Not a single drop left."

"What about the other two Bone Bridges?"

"Leave it to us!"

A group of people walked over from a short distance away, shouting loudly.

Li Wei turned his head and saw they were all familiar faces—students from the Red Level Class.

Paphit, Anthony, and the others were there too.

In this time of crisis, unity was their strength.
