Chapter 773 – Ancestral Incubus Domain

Lux stared into Corvus as if he didn’t sure he heard him right.

He inhaled.

He exhaled.

Then he repeated slowly, as if the words themselves might rearrange into something less insane if he spoke them out loud.

"I woke the ancestral incubus domain... at full strength... for the first time in nearly a century?"

Corvus nodded.

A slow, deliberate bob of the raven’s head.

Lux blinked.

Once.

Twice.

His brain, now mostly restored by emergency caffeine, attempted to process the sentence like it was a financial report from a collapsing kingdom.

"Wait," he said, pointing at Corvus with his coffee mug. "I thought the ancestral domain was stagnant. Dormant. Hibernation mode. The whole thing went quiet centuries ago."

Corvus shifted his claws on the chair back.

"Nope."

The raven said it with the cheerful tone of someone reporting a house fire while holding popcorn.

"Congratulations," Corvus added.

"You woke it up."

Lux stared at him.

The silence stretched long enough for the coffee steam to fade from the mug.

Behind Lux’s eyes, calculations were already running.

Political consequences.

House dynamics.

Spiritual lineage.

Symbolic implications.

And also...

The deeply embarrassing possibility that he had accidentally restarted a legendary incubus power nexus because he had an emotional breakdown and slept with half his household.

Lux pressed his fingers against his temple.

"...Great."

Corvus clicked his beak.

Lux tried again.

"Are you sure this wasn’t Eros?"

The raven tilted his head.

"You told him about the king yesterday," Lux continued. "If anyone was going to poke the Lust House into activity, it would be him. He could have triggered something."

Corvus considered that.

For exactly two seconds.

"It could be," the raven admitted.

Lux’s shoulders relaxed a fraction.

Then Corvus continued.

"But Lord Asmo is not that stupid."

Lux winced.

Corvus spread his wings slightly. "Lord Asmo can absolutely tell the difference between Eros and you."

Lux sighed.

Right.

Asmo had ruled Lust House long enough to recognize the signature of every incubus bloodline in the infernal hierarchy.

Lux Vaelthorn’s awakening would not feel like Eros.

It would feel like Lux.

And apparently...

It felt like a nuclear reactor.

Lux rubbed the back of his neck.

"Right..."

He drank the rest of his coffee. Which only few drops left.

"...I guess I should visit the Lust House after this."

Corvus nodded.

"Preferably before they visit you."

Lux grimaced.

"Better with Eros," he added.

Corvus perked up slightly.

"And after that," Lux continued, "I need to visit Envy House."

The raven blinked.

"For?"

Lux leaned against the counter.

"They mentioned afternoon tea."

Corvus stared.

"That’s the reason?"

Lux shrugged.

"They’re Envy."

Corvus did not look convinced.

Lux continued calmly.

"My news is already all over the InfernalNet."

Corvus squawked faintly in agreement.

Lux continued.

"They’ll want to get closer to me."

Corvus tilted his head again.

Lux smirked slightly.

"Besides... the Envy heirness already said she invited me."

Corvus froze.

"...Who?"

Lux answered immediately.

"Vira Karess."

The raven made a sound somewhere between a cough and a small panic attack.

"But there was no formal invitation."

Lux waved his hand casually.

"I think it’s somewhere in my email."

Corvus looked horrified.

"Your email."

Lux nodded.

"Probably in the spam folder."

The raven stared at him.

Lux swung his hand lazily through the air.

His system interface shimmered into existence in front of him, floating panels of infernal UI flickering into view like digital ghosts.

He began scrolling.

Corvus leaned forward.

Then recoiled.

"Why is it in the spam folder?"

Lux didn’t even look up.

"Most things from Envy House are spam."

Corvus blinked.

Lux kept scrolling.

"They try phishing all the time," Lux continued casually. "Fake investment offers. Fake trade proposals. Fake charity funds. You know the type."

Corvus winced.

"...Trying to take things from others."

Lux nodded.

"Exactly."

The raven sighed.

"That makes sense."

Lux scrolled again.

More messages.

More notifications.

More unread alerts from InfernalNet about his "Lust Awakening."

Lux ignored those.

Then...

"Oh."

His finger stopped mid-air.

"I found it."

Corvus hopped closer on the chair.

"When was it sent?"

Lux expanded the message.

"...Same day as the Lust House Gala."

Corvus blinked.

"With Eros?"

Lux nodded.

"Yep."

He leaned closer to the floating panel.

"...And yeah."

Lux smirked faintly.

"It’s today."

Corvus went very still.

Lux leaned back. "Well," he said calmly. "I guess I’m booked." Lux rubbed his temples again. "...I need a third coffee."

But coffee could wait.

There were other priorities first.

He turned and walked back toward his room with the careful steps of someone trying not to wake a battlefield of exhausted comrades.

The hallway was quiet.

The mansion was quiet.

Too quiet for a house that had apparently hosted a catastrophic Lust awakening strong enough to wake an ancestral incubus domain.

Lux pushed the bedroom door open slowly.

The room looked like a warzone.

Sheets twisted into knots.

Blankets half on the floor.

Pillows thrown everywhere.

The headboard cracked slightly at one corner.

Six women still slept in the aftermath.

Lux moved quietly through the room, careful not to step on a tentacle or tail, and approached the dresser near the mirror.

He flicked his hand.

His Dimensional Inventory shimmered open. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Rows of potions appeared in neat spectral grids.

Lux reached inside and began pulling them out one by one.

Small crystal vials.

Blue.

Gold.

Deep violet.

Stamina potions.

He lined them up across the dresser carefully like a responsible demon accountant preparing emergency supplies.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Five.

Six.

Then he took a pen from the desk and began writing small labels beside them on a notepad.

Naomi.

Sira.

Rava.

Ely.

Mira.

Lullaby.

Lux looked at the lineup and smiled faintly.

"Thank you," he murmured quietly.

Not loud enough to wake them.

"...For everything you guys did."

His voice softened slightly.

"For last night."

A pause.

"And... all."

He glanced up.

The mirror reflected him back.

Lux Vaelthorn.

Infernal Sovereign.

Greed House prodigy.

Royal incubus.

His robe hung open just enough to expose part of his chest.

And there...

The sigils.

Greed sigils.

Sharp emerald lines that pulsed faintly with controlled power.

But now they weren’t alone.

Between them, curling through the spaces like living script, were new marks.

Lust sigils.

Soft pink.

Curved.

Alive with heat.
