He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact
Chapter 858. The Death of Blier Sier
Kailen appeared outside the secret realm.
Several Transcendents were moving across the place, heading towards various principle fragment towers and secret realms.
"Did you hear?"
"A new fellow has arrived in the Western District. He’s broken into the rank 4 intermediate stage Transcendent level."
"What’s so special about that?"
"Well, he is about to have a showdown with Blier Sier, ranked 1000 on the Heavenly Tyrant Rankings!"
"What?"
"Yeah, his name is Julian Sier."
"Sier? Is that not the same surname?"
"Yeah, turns out they came from the same clan in the edge region. Apparently, Blier Sier wounded Julian Sier’s son in an attempt to actually kill Julian Sier’s daughter. So, Julian Sier wants to kill him for revenge."
"I see. But I think this Julian Sier fellow is overestimating himself. He broke into the rank 4 intermediate stage Transcendent level just a while ago. Compared to Blier Sier, who has been at that rank for a very long time, he is weak."
"Yeah. Also, Blier Sier belongs to the Desmond Faction. Desmond is ranked 500 on the Heavenly Tyrant Rankings and is at the rank 5 intermediate stage Transcendent level. Even if Julian manages to kill Blier Sier, considering the relationship between Desmond and Blier, Julian will eventually die."
"Anyway, let’s go and observe."
A glint flashed through Kailen’s eyes when he heard the conversations.
He melded with the void and disappeared from the sixth academy planet.
He appeared at the Western Residential District on the second academy planet.
Kailen followed the crowds towards a forest where several individuals were gathered, observing two fellows floating across from each other from a distance.
The moment Julian saw Kailen, he smiled and nodded, indicating to Kailen that he would be handling Blier.
Kailen nodded.
He stood away from the area of the battle, joining the crowd to observe. He did not doubt Julian’s strength. If he said he could handle Blier, he could.
Blier chuckled. "Why don’t we call this off? After all, you killed someone close to me as well? Do you remember the altercation you had with that guy from the Stevenson Chamber of Commerce? The guy you killed in front of the Metroline Hotel and Commerce building? He was a close friend."
Realization flashed through the eyes of Kailen and Julian.
But so what?
That didn’t change anything.
"I see." Blier saw the expression in Julian’s eyes. "How about you join the Desmond Faction? Boss Desmond has expressed some interest in you after all. I will have to kill you if you reject the offer though... think about—"
"Not interested. He can fuck off," Julian cut him off.
Several were shocked at Julian’s response.
This guy indeed, had some balls.
Even though he knew he would definitely die even if he were to manage to kill Blier Sier, since Desmond would come after him, he still decided to seek revenge?
But only Julian knew he was not acting based on emotion.
Kailen had sent him a thought transmission that he could throw his weight around all he wanted, because he had broken into the rank 7 intermediate stage Transcendent level. Naturally, even Julian, accustomed to Kailen’s fast principle comprehension speed, was extremely shocked at this speed of breakthrough. Kailen was simply too terrifying.
However, he was happy for Kailen. And he had never been more confident in throwing his weight around. This was why he did not exercise any reservations towards the Danson fellow.
"I see. I’m sorry about your son. I had no intention of targeting him. Your daughter was being haughty, you see. I just wanted to bring her down a peg. I actually didn’t want to kill her," Blier taunted Julian.
Julian was seething with rage inside. But he was calm. He would not be baited into losing his cool.
"Since you insist on letting bygones be bygones, greet our Sier ancestors in the afterlife for me," Blier said.
He stepped forward.
Dark tendrils spiraled out of his figure.
The dark tendrils transformed into a very large chain of darkness. He held the darkness chain in his hand. His vampiric eyes gleamed with otherworldly malevolence, white hair billowing.
Julian was not idle either.
He stepped forward. His loose white hair swaying.
He stretched forth his right hand.
A wave of darkness spiraled out of one of his fingers.
The wave of darkness rolled forward.
Blier swung the chain of darkness. It cleaved through the air with overbearing might, headed towards Julian.
The wave of darkness and the chain of darkness met.
The two attacks caused rings of shockwaves to spread outwards, causing several trees below them to explode into smithereens.
Neither seemed to give way to the other.
Several were shocked. Julian was able to go toe to toe with Blier?
What a monster.
Julian and Blier locked gazes at the same time.
The wave of darkness grew larger.
The chains of darkness transformed into an overbearing hammer of darkness and clashed into the wave of darkness.
The wave of darkness rolled forward, drowning the axe of darkness. The axe of darkness cracked into smithereens.
Blier revealed a terrified expression.
He turned around to flee, abandoning his pride.
He did not know this fellow would be this strong.
The wave of darkness grew larger and covered him, drowning him in it.
"By the way, my son is doing very well. As for my daughter, let’s just say you don’t exist to her," Julian said.
"I should have never offended this fellow." These were Blier’s last thoughts before his dying screams ceased.
The wave of darkness disappeared.
His charred, husky body fell from the skies, falling on the now barren forest ground.
Everywhere was silent.
"How is this possible?"
Someone finally broke the silence.
"He actually killed Blier Sier?"
"This guy is terrifying. It’s a pity he has definitely incurred the wrath of Desmond."
Several looked towards the horizon.
A figure appeared. Tall, fair skin. Pointed long ears. Casual clothes.
Desmond. Ranked 500 on the Heavenly Tyrant Rankings.
He looked at Julian. Contrary to what many thought, his eyes were calm. He was not angry, neither did he express any killing intent for the death of Blier.
Instead, he smiled.
"You are very strong. Would you like to join my faction?"
"Not interested," Julian replied.
"I am afraid with the way things have developed, I can’t let you live. There’s a possibility you’ll try to tie loose ends by eliminating me and my faction members in the future if you become strong enough to do so." Desmond stepped forward.
Julian did not move.
Kailen stepped forward.
"Let’s see you try." He spoke calmly.
