Extra Chapter 5:

When Lu Yu started her studies at the military academy, many people were initially just curious about her. Most didn’t think she would last. After all, she was an incredibly precious female.

Lu Yu was well aware that many people didn’t have high hopes for her. While their eyes held no mockery, they didn’t seem particularly sincere either.

After all, places like the military academy, military regions, and the battlefield had always seemed to be the exclusive domain of males. Few, if any, females had ever set foot in them.

Lu Yu didn’t take their thoughts to heart; she knew exactly what she was doing.

As she was the only female in the entire military academy, she was assigned to Combat Command Class One. She was the only female in the whole class.

When she appeared, everyone in the large classroom, including the homeroom teacher, was completely surprised.

Although they weren’t optimistic about Lu Yu’s prospects at the academy, she was still a precious female. In private, the three classes had actually been fighting over her.

They never expected Lu Yu to end up in Class One, and they couldn’t have been happier about it.

The moment the homeroom teacher saw Lu Yu, he paused for a second before smiling. "I never expected Lady Lu Yu to choose Class One. It is our honor."

That’s right. When it came to which of the three classes she would join, Lu Yu made the final decision herself.

Lu Yu smiled in reply. "It’s my honor to be classmates with all of you for the next four years of university."

That very afternoon, Lu Yu appeared on the training grounds with the rest of Class One to begin a month of military training.

When Lu Yu appeared with her Class One classmates, the students from the other two classes could feel it—the males from Class One now walked with a swagger, showing off for all they were worth.

Once the training began, many of the males were ready to rush over and offer a helping hand the moment Lu Yu faltered.

The result was that after an afternoon of training at an intensity many males couldn’t handle, Lu Yu acted as if it were nothing. When the session ended, a few males with weaker constitutions even collapsed, and she was the one who went over to help them up.

From that day on, the number of people who doubted Lu Yu dwindled significantly.

Over the next week, and then half a month, Lu Yu steadily kept pace with the training regimen. She even did extra practice occasionally. A few times, her instructor saw her and, worried she would overexert herself, came over to ask, "Lu Yu, you’re still training. Are you feeling alright?"

Surprised to see the instructor approaching, Lu Yu wiped the sweat from her forehead and nodded.

The young female had cut her hair short. Her jet-black eyes were dark and bright, as if filled with infinite courage and determination.

"I can handle it, Instructor. I always train like this. I’m fine."

The instructor sensed the firmness in her tone and couldn’t help but feel a little admiration for the young female before him. "If that’s the case, then just be mindful of your limits. Your health is what’s most important, so don’t overdo it."

"I understand. Thank you for your concern, Instructor."

The instructor didn’t say any more and just nodded. "Alright then. Carry on. Let me know if you need anything."

Watching the instructor leave, Lu Yu resumed her training.

However, after walking a short distance, the instructor looked back at Lu Yu and couldn’t help but think, ’Admiral Clan is so lucky. Most families would be blessed to have one female cub like her, but he has three.’

’He’s the ultimate winner among males.’

Soon, the month-long military training came to an end. Lu Yu finished with outstanding results, becoming first in her year. Her photograph was posted on the honor roll.

No one had expected that Lu Yu, whom they hadn’t truly believed in at the start, would end up first in her year—even fiercer than the males.

In the fighting ring, the males Lu Yu had taken down were almost all outstanding students, yet they were still no match for her.

It was simply incredible.

Admiral Clan, who had been invited to watch the competition, wore a calm expression. Even after Lu Yu’s victory, he showed little reaction, remaining composed.

Seeing his demeanor, the old dean couldn’t help but ask, "How are you not surprised?"

"Lu Yu has been preparing for this day for four years. Nothing that happened today came from nowhere. You should be well aware that a female’s physical constitution is not equal to a male’s. Hearing Admiral Clan’s words, the old dean looked toward the young female in the fighting ring, who was basking in the cheers and applause. His gaze grew serious.

Their doubts and their skepticism had never been an obstacle for Lu Yu. She had been quietly working hard for this day for four years. She was aware of it all, yet she still forged ahead bravely.

The old dean raised a hand and patted Admiral Clan’s shoulder. "I thought Lady Lu Xiao was already an exceptionally outstanding existence, but it turns out you have two more female cubs like her. I’m truly envious."

"You don’t have to envy me. I can’t take the credit. They’ve achieved what they have today all because of Lu Xiao. As their older sister, she set a good example."

"That’s still your good fortune. It’s wonderful. If only a few more females like them could appear in the Empire, it would be fantastic!"

"Don’t be impatient. There will be, in time." After speaking, Admiral Clan stood up. "I’ll take my leave now. I’m going to see her."

"Go on, go on. You acted so calm, I almost thought you didn’t care," the old dean said with a laugh, waving his hand as if he’d discovered some great secret.

When Admiral Clan met Lu Yu at the exit of the fighting ring, she had just showered and her hair was still damp. She ran over as soon as she saw him. "Father, did you come to watch the competition?"

"Yes, your dean invited me, so I came to take a look. You performed very well. You’ve worked hard, Lu Yu."

Lu Yu shook her head with a smile. "It wasn’t hard at all. This is what I wanted to do. Father, that fight just now was so satisfying! I really made the right choice."

Seeing Lu Yu smiling so happily, Admiral Clan felt reassured. "Come on, let’s go try your school’s dining hall."

Lu Yu smiled and looped her arm through Admiral Clan’s, leading him toward the school dining hall.

The competition had just ended, so everyone was heading to the dining hall after leaving the venue. Those who had wanted to approach Lu Yu to congratulate her saw her with Admiral Clan and tactfully kept their distance.

Are you kidding? That was Admiral Clan of the First Military Region. They wouldn’t dare to bother him.

And if they annoyed Lu Yu, they’d definitely get beaten up.

When Lu Yu hit someone, it really hurt.

When they failed to meet the training standards, Lu Yu had disciplined them more than a few times, which led to her becoming the class monitor for Class One.

She was the kind of class monitor who would genuinely beat up anyone who refused to listen.

As far as Lu Yu was concerned, if someone didn’t listen, they were probably just asking for a beating. One good thrashing would sort them out. If that didn’t work, she’d give them two!
