Heaven, Earth, Me
Chapter 1553. Shocked Evelyn.
So, as time passed, the competition started quickly. The morning of the competition, all the tailors appeared in the center of the enormous venue, lined up. Evelyn stood among them, standing alone and with her disguise still on her.
Soon, they saw the presenter step onto the stage and smile, wearing a formal and elegant robe. "Welcome to our 321st competition since our founding. Today, we are all testing young talents and hoping to find someone who can finally satisfy the Lady with their dress."
Evelyn blinked. ’So, this is all to get a good dress for that woman? However, if that were the case, she would not prohibit older tailors from participating.’
The more she listened, the more suspicious she became. ’...Should I leave? Was this a trap set up by some demonic sect?’
While pondering, the stage was suddenly swept by an incredibly powerful Spiritual Sense that made even Evelyn feel a slight chill up her spine.
’W-Who was that monster? Also...’ Evelyn’s muscles stiffened. ’Why is that monster’s Spiritual Sense so blatantly checking me out!?’
It had been a long time since Evelyn felt inferior just from the other side’s aura. This time, while she was not scared, she believed that the other side would not be an easy opponent.
The announcer, who was explaining the rules of the competition, suddenly stopped speaking, his face turning a touch serious. Clearly, someone was communicating with him.
"Ahem. It seems that this time, you are all in luck. The Lady herself is going to come to present the competition’s rules! Please, a warm welcome to Lady Ainesay!"
Evelyn blinked, finding that name a bit familiar. Then, under everyone’s expectant looks, someone came from the back theater, her steps echoing gently even before she appeared.
A moment later, the world’s focus fell on the woman who stepped out. The woman was wearing a long and elegant purple dress, light pink flowers adorning the edges of the low skirt. The dress’s side slit split with each step of those long and seductive legs, revealing the plump thighs underneath.
The woman’s long hair flowed down freely, while her gorgeous skin perfectly contrasted with the deep, night-colored locks. The faint gleam of her skin, adding to the already noticeable suppleness, made her exposed skin look divine.
The most impactful was not the incredible curves, which were explosive to an unfair degree, but her face. Faintly upturned, seductive golden slit eyes, a slim nose, soft and naturally luscious lips, and, as if intending to ensnare all souls, a faint mole below her eye.
Her long eyelashes fluttered gently with her slow blinks, while the curve on her lips lured people to her like a hook lures fish.
Enrapturing, alluring, carnal, but above all, overwhelming feminine attractiveness.
When she reached the middle of the stage, she turned, the long and thick golden-ringed blue tail elegantly following her last movements.
"Hello to everyone present. I am glad you attended this little competition I set up for fun..."
While Yasenia spoke, Evelyn, in the crowd, was staring with a stupefied expression. Her brain had long since crashed, her heart pumping blood around her body as her limbs trembled.
At this moment, she didn’t feel like the overwhelming cultivator that she was but like a mortal woman whose emotions had spiraled to the point that she couldn’t move properly.
Yasenia’s mellow and rich voice didn’t really register in her mind. The sound just caressed her eardrums like a long-lost heavenly melody. At this moment, receiving such a shock, Evelyn didn’t even know what to do. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
She wished to rush forward and jump into her arms, but the sheer raw beauty emanating from Yasenia somewhat intimidated her. She had never been one to hesitate, but as she looked at the woman who could force even abstinence to their knees with just a smile, Evelyn felt as if she had gone back to when she first encountered Yasenia.
Back then, she had approached without a single shred of shame because she internally knew that her efforts would result in nothing. She just wanted to befriend Yasenia using her antics. Inside, though, she became quite nervous each time she interacted with Yasenia.
It wasn’t until later and Yasenia reciprocated that Evelyn began losing that internal self-disdain. If it weren’t because Yasenia pampered her greatly and always allowed her to feel reassured, Evelyn would’ve honestly felt burdened back then.
Now, that was not the case. Her own beauty had reached a decent level. While she was not a country-toppling beauty, her face was worth remembering, and her body didn’t look malnourished, having small curves.
Meanwhile, on the stage, Yasenia was speaking in automatic mode while frowning deeply internally. ’Why isn’t Dear jumping on me?’
That’s right, even with the disguise, Yasenia had long recognized Evelyn among the crowd. She had expected Evelyn to jump onto her, perhaps cry or tease her like always. However, what she had not calculated was Evelyn standing there like a stiff statue.
Her golden slit eyes couldn’t help but move from time to time to the black-haired, blue-eyed, plain woman in the midst of the crowd. Her disguise was honestly nearly flawless. If Yasenia was not familiar with Evelyn’s aura, she might’ve actually missed her.
’Dear! Your wife is here! Why are you not jumping on me!?’ As she spoke, her mind began spinning out of control. ’I-Is she angry with me? Perhaps... she doesn’t want to recognize me anymore...?’
As these thoughts bloomed for a second, Yasenia mercilessly squashed them. ’Impossible! My Dear loves me so much! How could she not come to me? Perhaps... Is she shocked? Or does she think I don’t recognize her?’
Meanwhile, in the crowd, Sierra and Zephyrith looked at Yasenia with slackened jaws. Sierra blurted. "How did this woman materialize out of nowhere?"
Zephyrirth, though, looked at Evelyn, confused. "Sierra, is there something wrong with Evelyn?"
"Hm? Now that you say it..." She quickly looked over, using their connection to sense her feelings. "Wow. She is scared stiff."
Chen Tian, who had been dazed for a moment, frowned the second he heard that. "Scared? Why is Evelyn scared?"
Sierra looked at him and spoke. "Remember what I told you a while ago? Now is the time for you to not do anything reckless."
Zephyrith commented. "It seems Yasenia is about to be done with her speech."
Hearing those words, Sierra looked back at the stadium with a touch of worry.
"...And so, I wish all young talents the best of luck in this competition."
As if lifted from a spell, everyone snapped out of their daze and began clapping enthusiastically. Some people even threw flowers and other things toward the stage as they shouted a wide array of things at Yasenia.
However, Yasenia didn’t answer anything. Instead, she stood on the stage, showing no intention of leaving.
As the crowd calmed down, Yasenia squinted slightly and snorted once internally. ’Since you are not coming to me, do you think I would not take action myself?’
While Yasenia had wanted to prepare a memorable reunion, she would absolutely not allow those plans to stop her from checking on her lover’s feelings!
So, raising her foot, Yasenia took the first step forward, walking down the stairs.
The second she did, Evelyn, who had been scared stiff by the crazy feelings in her heart, suddenly felt her legs weaken. ’S-She... did she realize who I am?’
She felt that she was woefully unprepared to face the peerless beauty that parted the crowd like the sea as she walked straight at her. ’W-What do I do? Do I flee for a bit? I can face her later, right?’
Honestly, even Evelyn was confused as to why she was acting this way. Her feelings were just a mess.
It didn’t take long before Yasenia reached in front of Evelyn and looked down at her mischievous Dear. Looking at the shocked girl, Yasenia sighed, her eyes tender yet tinged with guilt. ’I am starting to think that the strength I’ve gained was not worth it...’
While she was not regretting it, she felt that there might have been a better way to do it. Regardless, Yasenia understood Evelyn deeply, so she more or less knew what was happening to her.
’Was my charm a bit too overwhelming? Did it trigger her past feelings of inferiority?’
Yasenia stepped forward once more, and then she hugged Evelyn, pulling her face into her breasts as she caressed her head slowly. "Silly Dear, why are you not jumping into my arms like always, eh? Did you truly think that I could not tell that you are you because you’ve changed your face?"
Separating the stiff girl from her arms, Yasenia smiled softly and leaned down to kiss her lips once. Her changed looks didn’t matter. After all, Yasenia, although she appreciated and adored their looks, she didn’t covet them. What she loved the most was them, not their looks.
Everyone looked stunned, not understanding what was happening. The seductive goddess who had stood above all a moment ago was now hugging and kissing a woman who was as stiff as a rock.
Yasenia separated and laughed. "Have you been stunned silly, or what? Speak to me, Dear."
Evelyn was honestly... stuck. Like, she wanted to speak, but she just couldn’t move. "U-Uh—"
Our dragoness sighed and picked her up, using her movement technique to disappear from everyone’s sights.
On the stands, Chen Tian was stunned. Sierra patted his shoulder and smiled. "That’s Yasenia, the woman Evelyn is always speaking about. Do you understand now, or do you not?"
Chen Tian opened his mouth, and then he sighed and leaned back, looking a touch lost. "I... understand. Sigh..."
Back in the room, Yasenia landed on a soft sofa chair she summoned, her tail slipping into a hole for comfort, while she placed Evelyn on her lap and hugged the stiff girl. She was not in a hurry in the slightest, so instead of speaking or rushing her, Yasenia hugged her and began patting her back.
"Do you need reassurance, love?"
"Do you need me to tell you that I still find you more precious than my own life?"
"Or, do you need me to kiss you until your soul and body soften?"
As Yasenia spoke, Evelyn’s heart shuddered, and her stiff body began relaxing a touch in Yasenia’s arms. She looked up, and Yasenia looked down at that disguised face with a smile. "Evelyn, Dear, I love you. No matter how much I change, this single fact won’t change. You understand that, right, Dear?"
Evelyn’s blue eyes slowly began to lose their tint, regaining their gorgeous violet color. Meanwhile, her deep black hair, as if a curtain were being lowered, also changed to her exotic electric blue.
Her plain facial features also shifted, becoming much more pleasant as her eyes grew larger, her nose slimmed, and her lips regained their usual pink and pretty color. The round and pretty face Yasenia recalled clearly was now in front of her, and Yasenia’s eyes softened. "You are as beautiful as ever, Dear."
Evelyn felt her throat clog, as if she had a lump she couldn’t swallow, and her eyes stung for a moment, her nose turning sour. Finally, Evelyn spoke with a cracked voice.
"...I missed you."
Yasenia hugged her Dear, placing her forehead onto hers. She showed her a beautiful smile. "I did too, Evelyn. I missed you greatly. Now, I am here."
Evelyn nodded, her stiff arms softening as they went around her, and she sank into Yasenia’s softness. "Mhm."
She answered with a soft hum of agreement before a comfortable silence enveloped their hugging figures.
