Chapter 66: Chapter 64: A Heaven-Shattering Sword Strike

The Tuo Mountain Bull King was a Tier One High-level Demon Beast.

Its power was at the absolute peak among Tier One Demon Beasts. If it charged at full speed, it could flatten a small hill.

The Tuo Mountain Bull King stomped its hoof down, and a massive black shadow instantly fell over the area.

It blotted out the sun!

Jiang Chen’s body was completely swallowed by the shadow. The massive hoof, descending from above, was as large as a small house.

Even from more than ten meters away, the terrifying gale from the descending hoof was already blasting him. The violent wind howled as it bore down, and the loose rocks around Jiang Chen began to clatter. Swept up by the powerful gust, they skipped and bounced before being hurled dozens of meters away to shatter into dust against the rock walls.

As the hoof landed, Jiang Chen’s figure vanished without a trace!

"As much as I dislike that stupid bull, I have to admit his strength far surpasses ours," the Black Widow Spider King commented, a grim chill on its hideous face.

The Green-eyed Tiger King nodded its majestic head, its green-glowing eyes glancing toward where Jiang Chen had been. "By human standards, that boy is only at the Martial Arts Ninth Stage. Old Niu’s strength is enough to overpower a True Martial Realm First Stage powerhouse. The kid couldn’t even block a single one of his moves; he’s not worth our concern. This other one, however, is a genuine True Martial Realm. He’s the one we must handle with care."

"The Tiger King is right!"

The Black Widow Spider King nodded, its six eyes darting about as it stared at Yulan Tianpeng. "We miscalculated. We never expected a True Martial Realm powerhouse to appear. If we had, we wouldn’t have let the Fiery Fire Sparrow King fight him alone and throw its life away for nothing!"

The Green-eyed Tiger King raked its claws across the ground, pulverizing a solid rock. A vicious light flared in its eyes. "When the Bear King emerges from seclusion and learns of the Sparrow King’s death, we’ll all be punished. But if we can kill this True Martial Realm expert, we can atone for our failure. Once Old Niu finishes off that ant, we three Beast Kings will strike together and kill this True Martial Realm punk!"

The Black Widow Spider King waved an appendage toward the Tuo Mountain Bull King, urging, "Stupid bull, hurry up and finish off that brat..."

"MOOO! I know! I don’t need you nagging me!" the Tuo Mountain Bull King grunted, displeased. A cold, murderous intent flickered in its enormous eyes. "Now, boy, time to die!"

BOOM—

The Tuo Mountain Bull King put its strength into it again, grinding its massive iron hoof into the ground a second time and unleashing a deafening roar.

The ground caved in, leaving a massive, hoof-shaped crater. Fissures spiderwebbed out from it in all directions.

A furious gale shot out from under the iron hoof, carrying with it chunks of shattered earth, stone, and shredded vegetation. The wind blasted outward in a fan shape, sweeping away everything in its path. Some weaker Demon Beasts were sent flying, only to be smashed into bloody pulps against the canyon walls.

’Oh no, Jiang Chen didn’t get away...!’

Yulan Tianpeng’s face fell. A look of panic crossed his features, and he tightened his grip on his Long Spear, about to charge out and rescue Jiang Chen.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

The moment Yulan Tianpeng moved, two figures shot out to block his path. It was the Green-eyed Tiger King and the Black Widow Spider King. The two Beast Kings stared at him like predators eyeing their prey.

"Get out of my way!" Yulan Tianpeng roared, sweeping his Long Spear.

PFFT!

The Black Widow Spider King spat a strand of white silk that wrapped around Yulan Tianpeng’s Long Spear. It grinned and sneered, "In such a hurry. Trying to collect your friend’s corpse? Gahahaha, I’d advise you not to bother. Anyone hit by that stupid bull’s hoof, even a True Martial Realm expert, would be turned into meat paste. There isn’t even a full corpse left of that boy!"

"You..."

Yulan Tianpeng’s face flushed with rage.

The Black Widow Spider King looked triumphant. "Hahaha! You humans fancy yourselves the lords of all creation, but before us Demon Beasts, you’re still as fragile as ants!"

Just then, the Tuo Mountain Bull King let out a bloodcurdling scream.

SLASH!

An incredibly sharp glint of sword light erupted from the ground, piercing straight through the Tuo Mountain Bull King’s hoof!

The old saying that pain in one’s extremities is felt most keenly applied to Demon Beasts as well. The Tuo Mountain Bull King’s iron hoof was one of its greatest weapons, but also one of its greatest weaknesses. Normally, its hard exterior was nearly impossible to breach, but now, a sharp blade of light had pierced straight through it.

The Tuo Mountain Bull King was grievously wounded!

"MOOO..."

A bloody, man-sized hole had been torn through the Tuo Mountain Bull King’s left forehoof, and blood gushed from it like a fountain. The Beast King swayed, then staggered and crashed to the ground. Its body, over twenty meters tall, slammed down with a deafening, earth-shattering THUD.

"Wh-what’s happening?" the Black Widow Spider King stammered, its six eyes darting about.

The Green-eyed Tiger King’s eye twitched as it looked toward the Tuo Mountain Bull King. "Old Niu, what happened?"

"My hoof... My hoof’s been crippled..." the Tuo Mountain Bull King wailed from the ground, screaming in agony.

The Green-eyed Tiger King and the Black Widow Spider King were both stunned.

’They knew just how incredible the Tuo Mountain Bull King’s defense was. How could it have been pierced by a single sword strike?’

As if sensing something, the two Beast Kings looked toward where the Tuo Mountain Bull King had fallen. A youthful figure slowly emerged from the settling dust and debris.

It was none other than Jiang Chen—the one they had dismissed as an ant and assumed had been obliterated without a trace.

"How is that possible? Old Niu clearly crushed him to death! How could he still be alive?" the Black Widow Spider King shrieked, its six eyes spinning with disbelief.

A glint appeared in the Green-eyed Tiger King’s eyes as its gaze fell upon the Cyan Blade Sword in Jiang Chen’s hand.

Blood dripped from the Cyan Blade Sword—the very weapon that had pierced the Tuo Mountain Bull King’s iron hoof!

The Green-eyed Tiger King’s pupils constricted. In a heavy tone, it said, "We all misjudged him. This Martial Arts Ninth Stage practitioner is no ant. He’s a fierce tiger... no, he’s an Azure Dragon, one that has kept its aura completely concealed!"

The Black Widow Spider King’s expression changed as well. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

’Only now did it finally understand. It had been underestimating Jiang Chen all along!’

A look of delighted surprise appeared on Yulan Tianpeng’s face. "Jiang Chen, you’re okay?"

"Don’t worry, I’m perfectly fine!" Jiang Chen said with a grin. "Just wait over there. I’ll take care of these three big lugs, and then we’ll go look for that old bear!"

Hearing this, the Green-eyed Tiger King’s expression darkened. The "King" character pattern on its forehead seemed to tense up as it roared like thunder, "Insolent brat! How dare you insult Lord Bear King! I’ll tear you to shreds!"

"Tear me to shreds? The three of you? You’re not worthy," Jiang Chen said with a smirk.

"ROAR!"

With a furious roar, the Green-eyed Tiger King lunged at Jiang Chen like a starving tiger pouncing on its prey.

The Black Widow Spider King’s eight legs scurried, closing in on Jiang Chen at incredible speed as it repeatedly opened its maw to spit out vast, shimmering white webs.

The Tuo Mountain Bull King also struggled to its feet, supporting its body on three legs, not daring to let its crippled hoof touch the ground. With a swing of its head, it flicked its horns and sent massive boulders hurtling toward Jiang Chen.

’The three Beast Kings are attacking at once? Perfect. I’ll use this to test the power of my Wind Fluctuation...’ A sharp light glinted in Jiang Chen’s eyes. The corners of his lips curved upward as his will to fight blazed like a wildfire.

The First Technique of the Wind God Extreme—Wind Fluctuation!

His sword moved. It seemed slow, but in reality, it was impossibly fast.

Ripples, like those on the surface of water, spread across the blade. These were the fluctuations of the wind, expanding outward in concentric circles. They began as tremors mere inches from the blade before expanding to the size of a hand...

One meter...

Five meters...

Ten meters...

The fluctuations expanded until they were a hundred meters wide. Each ripple of wind was a tyrannical and razor-sharp wave of Sword Qi, fused with the air itself. With every overlapping wave, more Wind Sword Intent and the power of the wind itself were integrated into the attack, increasing the swordsmanship’s power a hundredfold!

When the waves of Sword Qi touched the massive boulders, the overlapping impacts instantly pulverized them into dust.

The tough spiderwebs were sliced apart by the rippling Sword Qi, drifting down like shredded silk.

By the time the rippling Sword Qi reached the three Beast Kings, it had coalesced into crazily spinning vortexes of energy that enveloped them completely!

SQUELCH!

SQUELCH! SQUELCH!

SQUELCH! SQUELCH! SQUELCH!

The waves came one after another, each stronger than the last. They shattered the three Beast Kings’ defenses and tore them limb from limb!

"ROAR..."

The three Beast Kings let out agonizing death cries as they perished beneath that world-shaking sword strike!
