Heavenly Harem: Raising My Disciple With Infinite Dual Cultivation
Chapter 47: | Peeking Into An Yue’s Memories
Lin Tian stood up from the altar where he had been cultivating. He stepped to the side and instantly shifted location in the blink of an eye.
He arrived in the sect’s backyard and saw An Yue and An Xiao there, sitting side by side on the green grass.
Lin Tian’s arrival was unexpected for them. The two immediately stood up, cupped their hands, and lowered their heads.
"Greetings, Master Lin," they said at the same time.
"Sorry for disturbing your time. There is something I need to ask An Yue," Lin Tian said.
An Xiao turned and looked at her younger sister. An Yue herself looked awkward and restless.
The woman wanted to know what Lin Tian needed from her.
"W-What is it, Master Lin?"
"I’ve realized that the more sect disciples we have, the greater the spiritual qi consumption in this place becomes."
"When I was cultivating, the flow of natural spiritual qi was blocked, and I couldn’t cultivate properly according to my realm," Lin Tian explained.
"Then, how can I help with that?"
Lin Tian stepped forward and approached An Yue.
"I left all of you alone for too long while I was breaking through to Nascent Soul. I don’t know much about what happened to the Lingxian Sect while I was in closed-door cultivation."
"Among them, you are the one who has stayed in the sect the longest. You should know something."
"What?" An Yue asked, growing even more anxious and curious.
The man in front of An Yue fell silent for a moment, looking at her with a serious and sharp gaze.
That made An Yue even more nervous.
She was worried Lin Tian would be angry at her because she had hidden something.
"Who stole the Natural Spiritual Veins of the Lingxian Sect?"
"Natural Spiritual Veins?"
"They are shaped like roots with long branches, brown in color, and possess a strong qi aura."
An Yue fell silent in shock, then turned to the side and looked at An Xiao. An Xiao knew about Natural Spiritual Veins.
Yun Xi had once told her about them. The Shuzhou Sect had at least 10 Natural Spiritual Vein Roots to supply qi for all sect disciples.
"What is a Natural Spiritual Vein?" An Yue asked An Xiao.
"A Natural Spiritual Vein is a valuable item that stores the spiritual qi of the earth. When extracted through the Sect Qi Absorption Formation, the vein will supply spiritual qi to everyone in the area where it is planted," An Xiao explained.
"In short, a Natural Spiritual Vein is a tool for producing spiritual qi. One Natural Spiritual Vein Root can last up to 500 years and can supply as many as 1,000 disciples at the same time," An Xiao continued.
The woman looked forward at Lin Tian.
"I see that the other disciples can cultivate well. It seems there is no problem with the Natural Spiritual Veins."
"For now, yes. However, I saw Qi Root Suppression Nails embedded in every branch of the Lingxian Sect’s Natural Spiritual Vein roots," Lin Tian explained.
"Qi Root Suppression Nails? What are those?" An Yue asked.
"Qi Root Suppression Nails are a complicated formation used to block the flow of qi from the core of a Natural Spiritual Vein Root. If the roots are nailed with that formation, then the flow of spiritual qi can become blocked or stop completely," Lin Tian answered.
"Without spiritual qi, no one in the sect will be able to cultivate."
An Yue and An Xiao listened to Lin Tian’s explanation. They had not expected the consequences to be that bad.
They did not know when the spiritual qi from the Natural Spiritual Veins would stop flowing.
However, if that happened, every disciple of the Lingxian Sect would have difficulty cultivating.
"About who stole the Natural Spiritual Veins, I don’t know. I can’t remember it clearly," An Yue said.
Lin Tian had already expected that. An Yue definitely did not know much about it, either because she did not know about Natural Spiritual Veins or because she had forgotten.
Lin Tian raised his hand to chest height, summoning a glowing white qi orb at the tip of his right finger.
"Do you mind if I peek into your memories?" Lin Tian asked.
"If it concerns the future of the Lingxian Sect, I don’t mind."
Lin Tian immediately directed his right hand forward, shooting the white qi orb into An Yue’s body through her forehead.
An Yue trembled slightly, her head lifting as both of her eyes shone with white light, the same color as Lin Tian’s qi.
An Xiao was somewhat worried about An Yue’s condition.
Even so, she understood that Lin Tian cared deeply for An Yue. The woman believed Lin Tian would not harm her younger sister.
After the white qi orb entered, Lin Tian’s hands formed a simple hand seal, then he closed his eyes.
The qi in his body connected with the qi in An Yue’s body, allowing his mind to see An Yue’s memories flash by at high speed.
Lin Tian saw all of her memories, but his focus was not on every single one of them.
He only needed to search for the flashback of the moment when another sect stole the roots of the Lingxian Sect’s Natural Spiritual Veins.
After carefully looking through everything, Lin Tian’s attention stopped when a certain memory appeared before his eyes.
In that memory, An Yue and the others were lying helplessly on the dusty ground of the sect’s messy front courtyard.
The condition of the Lingxian Sect was still the same as when Lin Tian had come out of closed-door cultivation.
The cultivation levels of his five disciples were still low, and their spirits were also crushed.
Lin Tian looked forward. There were two groups of cultivators from other sects who had come with bad intentions.
They activated red and white formations above the sect’s sky.
It was them!
He clearly saw the two formations pulling out the Natural Spiritual Veins from the Lingxian Sect, collapsing the ground and leaving a hole behind.
That hole had now been repaired and turned into the sect’s fish pond.
It was unclear which sect they came from. However, Lin Tian had already recognized the pattern of their sect robes.
Sect robes would not be changed without a logical reason.
There was a possibility... they were still wearing the same sect robes as when they attacked the Lingxian Sect.
Lin Tian cut off the qi connection between his body and An Yue’s body.
A burst of spiritual qi erupted from An Yue’s body, signaling that the essence of Lin Tian’s soul consciousness had faded.
However, the explosion did not significantly affect An Yue’s condition.
An Yue began regaining her consciousness, then collapsed weakly as An Xiao supported her. Her head felt dizzy, and her body was weak.
An Xiao glanced forward and looked at Lin Tian.
"Did you find that sect?"
Lin Tian opened both eyes and tried to stabilize the qi aura in his body. He turned and nodded while looking at An Xiao.
"I don’t know the name of their sect. Maybe you can help me," Lin Tian answered.
"Forgive me, Master Lin. It doesn’t mean I don’t want to help you. However, my knowledge about sects is not that extensive."
"I see."
Lin Tian’s attention focused behind An Xiao, toward the Pill Refinement Hall Building.
Compared to An Xiao, Wu Yue might have more knowledge about sects and their sect robes.
"You don’t need to apologize. I know who can help me."
